  1. First of all I agree with you and Blue Chipper; the Bills are much further along in the first game than anyone would have dared thought 3 months ago. Not surprised though. This board lost all sense of logic about two years ago. But your point about complaining has some truth to it. The pats are a team on the decline and their fans know it. Ever hear booing like that before? If the Bills win next week or even lose close and play and continue to progress well that momentum could easily be set back if a bunch of boo-birds show up at the jets game. This isn't a team of the past. Lots of 'look at me" egos that fortunately appear to be starting to think of themselves as Bills. Just the type to go back into the me mode if they think the fans are not on their side. Let's hope the doomsters stay glued to the chat room instead of attending the opener in two weeks.
  2. Absolutely. The best thing the marketers and NFL did for Buffalo is to convince the braindead that they are better fans for buying outrageously overpriced "official" mechandise than if they actually paid for a ticket and went to a game. Buying the $5 caps and $10 shirts and a ticket outside the gate is the sanest strategy. I've been sitting in my seasons and had (mostly visitor but some Bills) fans chide me for not having a shiny new official jersey. God Bless the sheep.
  3. A sizeable subset pays to do that now. Good news for those stuck in Timbuktoo or I'm sure for USA fans soon. Someone will find a way to hack it.
  4. Use Titan with my PVR card since it's integrated with the card for point and click programming and while it is fairly reliable they are not always correct with NFL info. Certainly hope they are wrong about game not being broadcast in HD.
  5. Was that you touring in the Geiko costume?
  6. Signed up and picks are in. How come this sds guy is already 36-0? Seriously, the pick sheet says: The manager of the pool has set players default picks to be the Underdog If you should forget to make a selection on your sheet, or even forget to make selections in any week, your pick will be made for you. Not complaining (prefer it to Home or Favorites option) but I think this is a change from last year.
  7. I wish I could afford to pay a king's ransom to sit with a roomful of football illiterate, golf clapping wannabees (the real money sits in boxes) but I'll suffer in Row 1 with my view impeded by those damn cheerleaders and the opposing team's kickers. Maybe when I get reborn as a wimp. (Nothing personal Jack just my routine rant when guy's try to tell me how much they love the suites. I usually feel sorry for them because you can tell they'd rather be with the 'riff-raff" but the bosslady demands suite seats.) Actually got it in every game last year but always as my 12x12x12 bag so I had to carry camera and equipment in a plastic bag then transfer afterwards. Had to try a few different 'patters' a few games especially towards the end of the season. (Watch out for the plump manish female at gate 7, she always called it a camera bag and is a PITA period.)
  8. Didn't see it mentioned yet and was not included in the Bills emails or site list but I was allowed to bring my camera bag in last week. Extra batteries also. Have to open it and remove camera but nice to have the bag especially during the shower. They are doing a full leg search this year though so the flask in the sock trick is not a sure thing anymore. Anyone else get treated differently?
  9. So the times he was there but can't remember being there do count.
  10. That thread now contains this thread (specifically post #7) which says: [From (and thanks to): Bflojohn] I was proactive and called the network! I talked to the head of programing, get this, Tom Brady, and he told me that the teams have the broadcasting "rights" and it cannot be shown on NFL Network until the local affiliate can run the game. He stated that this is the constraint that they MUST abide by, so the telecast was originally scheduled for 10:00 A.M. in Arizona and I had TIVO'ed the event ready to watch today (Saturday). NO such luck! Tuesday is the day they will show the game, as someone had previously noted. They do have a FULL slate of preseason tilts this weekend, so the shift does make sense. I also mentioned that they should mention the rules to the general NFL Network audience. It would help, IMO!!!
  11. PeeWee stands (or sits with his hand on his...) corrected. He also should have read ALL related posts such as Bills Fans Need to Call NFL Network post #7: [From (and thanks to): Bflojohn] Today, 06:52 AM I was proactive and called the network! 12. But if danny had been our QB I GUARANTEE we would have won all 4 SBs Seriously, I was thinking the same thing last night. Kelly made his share of bonehead plays but they were the exception and were quickly overlooked when the next gems were made and because he was family. Losman makes a gaff and the loudmouth drunk starts with Flute and 0-16 chants. If you want instant gratification; masturbate.
  13. All together now; Whine, B word, jump to wild-azz conspiracy theorys, use your psychic powers, then take a prozac OR Go to BuffaloBills.com (not the 1st place I would look either) and read the news that scrolls too fast. Item 2 (at the time) says: Friday’s Bills game against the Bengals will be televised locally via tape-delay. The game will air on Saturday night at 8:00 pm on WKBW-TV in Buffalo, WHAM-TV in Rochester and WTVH-TV in Syracuse. Chill is PeeWee's word of the day.
  14. 746983[/snapback] I suspect these comments were meant to be witty but do deserve a semi-serious response. IMO it was a 10 minute summer shower to differentiate it from some of the lake fed furys that seemed to me used to occur frequently on gamedays but have been absent for the last 4 -5 years. From what I remember (alcohol is always a factor) the rain occurred primarily while the Bills were on Offense. So the Bills played in the rain and the Bungholes merely had to react. BTW: anyone catch that A-hole Chad Johnson's haircut. Some drunk in our section was letting him have it; references to Rodman and TO etc. Enough so that CJ reacted. Part of that Home Team advantage!
  15. Easily done. All my leases specifically state that the premises include only the actual rooms in the apartment. Where there are porches/decks etc. they are verbally told they can use them but if they abuse the right (trash storage, frequent loud parties etc.) the access door will become a wall. (Also tell them DISH dishes are OK but DTV dishes will be removed .)
  16. How absurd. It was ok to hear some swearing drunks but seeing too many would mar him???? Even if that made any sense if she was so concerned then why didn't she leave? I'm so sick of people who think the world has to change to accommodate their (in this case illogical) viewpoint.
  17. Wow. Great Job with the photos and captions. Didn't look like your seats were that bad. [bTW - After seeing the photos I signed up for an account at Bills Zone and tried to use your user name as a referrer but it kept rejecting it. I'll follow up with them if it gains you user space or trinkets of some kind.]
  18. Thanks, please log in hourly and update us on the progress. [seriously, for those who haven't seen theirs yet check your spam blocker. Return address is tracking@mercurytickets.com. Had to grab mine out of the garbage bin.]
  19. Combine it with a yellow stripe down the back and I think you have a winner.
  20. Holy Crap! Fez on the side of the evil cable moguls. Head for the hills the apocolypse is near.
  21. They USED to (at least according to the last price list I found) but as of yesterday they are no more. Even used to have a base package of networks + PBS for about $12. Nice combo for DTV guys since there are no locals available in the area and necessary for anyone who wanted to get (the now defunct) WB since it was a phantom station that only existed on cable. $60/month w/o the NFL channel even makes DTV and the $5/month hand in your pocket per receiver a deal.
  22. Great news! Speaking of Throwbacks what the hell is Replithentic?
  23. Hmm if $44.95 = Free then Adelphia Expanded used to pay you over $10/month to get the NFL Channel.
