I think this regime cares more about football than marketing. Otherwise the trades of Watkins or Darby don't happen. Toss in we were all set to pursue Bobby Hoyer if Tyrod didn't work out a new contract.
If we can win games that we're supposed to win, (see San Diego, vs Miami, vs Indy and at Miami) and can some how pull off a win at KC or vs NE or at NE) than I like our chances. Yet if we lose to an expected team than the playoffs are good as done.
The Bills could use a slot/return WR if we elect to let Matthews, Tate and/or Thompson go in free agency. Ideally we could get one guy to fit both roles that can draft in the middle rounds (see Round 4 or 5).
Let's not forget that trading down allowed us to trade up later for Zay. As good as Watson has been it's in part of guys like Hopkins and Fuller in place, if he ended up in Cleveland his numbers might not be as good.
As a slot WR I have no issues bringing him back as Benjamin's our number 1 WR and Zay Jones emerging as another threat. This passing offense could be scary as long as we have a QB who knows how to throw the ball in time.
True but it's also having pieces around him to excel. Yet if we can have Benjamin, resign JMatt and a healthy Clay on board we might have some pieces. Yet still need to work on the interior of the O-line and depth at TE and RB but we also have some cap room to make some moves this offseason too.
The question I have is why did it take two refs to talk it over and then throw the flag after Hughes was on the sidelines. Ultimately I don't think it altered the games outcome but felt like it was a proverbial poke of the eyes of an angry bear.
His stats are nice but watching him he looks indecisive as usual. Shows he's not his best in the pocket and seemingly disappears late when need him to perform. He isn't the sole reason for this loss but he is part of it.
