  1. Nails, I also spoke to a rep this morning about boxes. His pricing to me was about $500 per ticket. Like what you heard that includes food, parking and non-alcoholic drinks. I am on the fence about paying that much.
  2. I am one who voted with the unpopular opinion. Like all of you, I would be ecstatic if the Bills won the Superbowl. However, the question is would it be less satisfying. At a minimum I think it will be minorly less satisfying. At worst it could be horribly less satisfying. Why I think it will be minorly less satisfying: 1) We have already been deprived of preseason and attending training camp. This has lead to less excitement and build up before the season. 2) At present, we are being deprived of attending games in person and tailgating. 3) There is a high probability that players will be sitting out due to Covid. I know all players and teams face this risk but there are chances for many asterisks. 4) We will be watching games with no fans on TV. People have different opinions on this, but personally I find it weird and less exciting. Baseball, NHL, and NBA all have me less interested than ever. Why it could be horribly less satisfying: 1) Decent chance games get cancelled leading to all sorts of weird outcomes. 2) Playoff structure could be ammended/shortened. 3) Season could be changed or shortened. 4) We are all hoping things get back towards normal in the upcoming months. However, imagine Bills go to the superbowl with no fans present. Bills somehow win but we are all sitting in our homes watching. No victory parade etc. 5) Imagine having our most successful year and not one Bills fan got to attend a game in person. I am praying for a great season and would love a deep playoff run or shot at the Superbowl. However, I do think success this season will to some degree feel less satisfying.
  3. Been many times. Cool place. Have a couple locations now.
  4. All good comments thus far. I went to Appstate from 2000-2004. It is a nice college town but obviously when school is in session there are a lot of students around. GA, NC, VA, TN, and WV all have good mountain homes. In general I think you can get about 10 or 15 mins from any mountain town and feel like you are in the absolute wilderness with only a short drive to get back to stores, restaurants, and businesses. Not sure exactly what you are looking for but if it was me, I would look to a place that is remote enough for privacy with still the convenience to be a short drive back to civilization. I've been to Asheville several times in the last few years. Just my opinion but the town has grown so much and is very touristy in recent years. I would look towards other areas than Asheville. Feel free to reach out with any questions. I still know Boone, Blowing Rock, Linville, and Banner Elk pretty well.
  5. I asked the same question yesterday. Ticketmaster, NFL Ticket Exchange, and Stubhub all have nothing listed. I contacted a Dolphins ticket representative yesterday and asked about buying tickets for the game. He said at present they are only selling boxes for individual games. I asked how much for a box and how many tickets that includes. I will let you know what I hear back. If it is reasonable, I probably have about 6-8 people who would go. I will probably need to make some friends to be able to fill a box.
  6. This is exactly what I was thinking. (Except I was thinking probably two people.)
  7. I will try to bring this conversation away from Covid and back to tickets for the Fins. Does anyone know how tickets are being dispersed for the Bills game? There is a chance I am in Miami that day and would like to try and go.
  8. So many batmans. So many super hero films. I couldn't be less interested.
  9. I agree with Seasons. I like tournaments where the winning score is somewhere around -6 to -8. These tourneys where the winners are -20 or so are not that fun for me.
  10. I don't think I've ever seen a minute of any Big Brother. I don't plan on changing that.
  11. I hope this three dudes weren't there when this thing went off.
  12. I grew up in Buffalo but moved out as a child. However, I usually visit once or twice a year. The places I go are usually a bar type places which aren't that fancy. The ones where I always like the food are: Audubon North- Buffalo off Sweethome Mammoser's- Hamburg Charlie the Butchers- Williamsville Elmos- Getzville
  13. I had a weird situation yesterday regarding this theory/philosophy. I was at a Lowes home improvement store. As it was crazy hot, I parked all the way in the back of the lot where I could be under some shade. This was about 100 yards to the front door of the store. I bought some plants and other items inside and used a cart to wheel them out to my car. When I unloaded them I looked around and saw that there were no cart barns. (At this point I thought of this thread.) I saw another cart in the middle of a parking space a couple spots down from me. I ended up putting the other cart with mine, and lifting the front two wheels onto the embankment near my car. They were not in a spot or the middle of the parking lot. Was I wrong not to walk the carts all the way back to the front of the store? I figured since I gathered a second cart and at least moved them out of the lot I did an ok thing.
  14. The nutrition and supplement world is full of scammers, false claims, and pseudoscience. Brady is just one of these douches using his name to exploit this market.
  15. This isn't on topic but I went to a UNC football game about a decade ago against the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes. Someone had a sign that read, "Tulsa my salad."
  16. What I hate about a-lot of these articles is they don't cite or show the actual posts. They just refer to them as offensive and racist and you have to track them down. Some stories like this are truly offensive and racist, other ones are borderline at best.
  17. I know weather and a gazillion other factors go into the launch day and time. However, a strange part of me says the delay yesterday to Saturday seems like a PR move and a ratings thing. I base this on: 1) They said they would have the complete Yes or No decision by 3:45pm as that was when they needed to start fueling to be a go. The official cancellation wasn't until after 4:00pm. 2) They new date and time is Saturday afternoon at 3:22pm. Right in the middle of a weekend as everyone is sitting at home bored. I know this wasn't the case but it seems a little fishy to me. I bet the ratings on Saturday will be huge.
  18. Like others have said it is an interesting idea. My initiation thought is bringing in 200+ cars could be a little bit of a traffic problem. Especially when they are all trying to be there for kickoff or a movie start.
  19. Top 10 isn't a good classification of QB's. Seems like there is an elite level (top 5 or so) and then a middling area before the dregs. The difference between 10 and 15 isn't that great.
  20. Sir Barton that old horse came in dead last....
  21. I am gonna throw a little money on the longshot Sir Barton. He is ridden by a jockey named Johnny Loftes. I happen to have a friend named John Loftes so I figure that is a sign of some sort.
  22. I agree with this. Unfortunately, (or fortunately) I think they are both gonna come up on the wrong end of it. If I had to guess both are 9-7 for the next couple years.
  23. 79% isn't that good. Long of 50 isn't that good. One highlight dinging off the post flying sideways isn't that good. Overall, not impressed.
  24. Yeah. Sounds like a crappy gift.
  25. Can someone tell me what TUA is wearing around his neck? Was that an award or something? Or is it just a wacky draft day style?
