  1. So far I think the coverage has been good considering. As as much as I hate Goddell, I am glad he is accepting of his boos.
  2. Although I like Kramer and used to think he was the best, I find myself liking George the best now and then followed by Jerry. If I had to rank the main 4 main Seinfeld characters I would go: 1. George 2. Jerry 3. Kramer 4. Elaine
  3. Watched the preview and read some reviews. Looks pretty good. However, I am not sure it can topple Rudy as the greatest walk on story ever.
  4. Love Dylan.... This song just makes me say ewwww
  5. Did you check it our Promo? Not sure how it was. Some things need an audience. I watched "Last Week Tonight" this past Sunday with no audience. It was weird with jokes delivered with silent pauses after them. I think a concert with no fans would be strange.....
  6. That's what I love about these high school girls, man. I get older, they stay the same age.
  7. The "colorful" FBI guy is interesting. Sometimes I think he is hilarious and sometimes I think he is a douche. I'm only through one episode but I plan on catching up and finishing it. I am most curious about seeing what punishments are doled out once they find guilty parties. I remember all the Monopoly promos and commercials but until this series never heard about it being a scam or corrupt.
  8. What is up with the weird "tape addition?"
  9. The ticketing sites are such a bunch of crap with their fees. What is BS is how they charge their fees based on a percentage of the ticket sale price. Their service/work is the same whether it is a $20 or $20,000 ticket. Look at this breakdown from a couple of lower level end zone seats for the superbowl. $3,670.50 in fees! ORDER TOTAL $15,016.50USD Ticket price 2 x $5,673.00 Service Fee 2 x $1,830.00 Delivery Fee 2 x $5.25
  10. Lots of factors here: 1) Price- too expensive for some people. Definitely expensive for people to go to multiple games. Even if it's not too expensive, the choice of where to spend your money is compelling. IF Buffalo wins and plays in Baltimore, I plan on going. I figure for two people this trip will cost me about $1,000-1,200 dollars. For that we could fly to the Caribbean for the weekend. 2) TV's- So much easier to watch on a big screen. Plus you have the ability to flip games and watch RedZone. 3) Fantasy Football- More people watch players than they do teams. 4) Stadium Experience- Everything is expensive. Crowds can be dangerous for families. Commercials pumped in everywhere possible. 5) Cash Cow is drying- 6) Younger Viewers- As old time football fans get older they want to go to the game less. This coupled with younger folks growing up watching more games on TV exacerbates things. 7) Officiating- This causes people whether live or on TV to dislike the game and its outcomes. ? This hasn't really hit yet but less kids playing football leads to less fans. I figure in another decade the concussions slowing youth programs will really hurt. The real question is since attendance is down will the cost of tickets/going to the stadium go down? Unfortunately I think not.
  11. Who/what was the mascot in the late 80s?
  12. I am in my late 30's and this is going to be the most senior citizen thing I do all year. A local Irish bar does English/Irish New Years at 7pm EST. So we will go party it up like its midnight to get home safely by 9pm.
  13. I know this is impossible, but I would love to have someone review the movie knowing nothing about the StarWars franchise.
  14. US pulled through. I am happy being a US citizen. However, I like rooting for the underdog. And yes I want to see some footage of the Reed caddy incident. Who knows what happened but in golf tournaments fans can get really close to the players and caddies. If some fan was cursing in his face maybe we was right to push/punch him.
  15. Correct but you are missing the point. Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile. It's virtually the same beast. Limited choices = abuse by large companies. Modern Day- Cable/Internet/Cell Phones/Social Media Past Days- Oil/Steel I should. Mi espanol es perfecto desde mis dias in Puerto Rico.
  16. Yeah. There is not a good word here. The problem is that you are screwed because you are limited in choices. So every choice leads to the same bs. I guess I have accepted if I want to use cell, tv, internet (basically live in present day) I have to deal with these mega corporations who treat their customers like crap. This will spiral things in a different direction, but many people use the large social media platforms despite their ethical concerns and privacy issues. You really only have about 3 choices if you want to communicate with large audiences. Due to this lack of choice you have to tolerate their abuse. With businesses and services locally you have several options. If I don't like a mechanic, restaurant, or grocery store I can choose to go elsewhere and hopefully get improvement.
  17. Yeah, I've done this before. It works but it is frustrating as you have to keep going through the prompts and sticking to your guns. Me- "Agent" Robot- "Ok Agent. What would you like to speak with an agent about?" Me- "Agent." Robot- "Ok. Before I get an agent on the line, please tell me what your call is about?" Me- Agent
  18. Maybe don't confront him aggressively, but I would ask if it looked like the video. I think he is "lying" or not being honest. Not one video exists of this outside of the promotional one. Such crap how they say this was the view or could be the view etc. I found 5 videos of the Bills home opener flyover this year with a quick google search.
  19. I'm gonna vent a little here. What is a customer supposed to do with large companies that have horrible customer support? I know there have been other threads that touched on this but couldn't find a dedicated one. My case in point today is: ATT/DIRECTV. First let it be known that they can't merge my ATT cell account with my DirectTv account for some reason so I have two separate bills. Thats a different issue than today. For the last two months I haven't been able to pay my directv bill online. My only options are to call the robosystem and pay or enroll in autopay (which I think is there goal.) I do not want to have to call every month or do autopay. I know they want customers to use autopay so when they inevitably charge me more I may miss it. To resolve the issue of not being able to pay online, first I try the chat feature. This is only online certain hours a day. After using it, they said I would need to call in. I call the automatic system but I can't get a person because every time I say the word "bill" it takes me to the pay your bill prompts. So this is a little frustrating. What is crazy to me though is there is they have no email address. You can not email them no matter what. It will always point you back to their forums, chat feature, or to call. How can I even express how crummy there system is? I guess my only real options here are to flame away on them on social media or cancel my service. The problem is if a customer wants to cancel their service and then switches from ATT to another large corporation they have the same crappy automatic services. As modern day consumers shouldn't there be some sort of rights? Thoughts? Feel free to share your crappy customer service issues.
  20. Anybody out there watching this? Looks like the US rallied back and the score is 10-8 going into the singles matches today. I watched a little last night on The golf channel around 9pm. Specifically it was match 14- Finau/Kuchar vs Scott/Somebody? I am a little confused as they showed the score as Internationals up 11.5 to 5.5. How can that be? I’ve been searching the internet trying to find that score but can’t.
  21. Listen folks. If you read the articles it clearly says “this is what was seen on the Jumbotrons.” So if you were in a seat you couldn’t see the “raven.” This is CGI just like you see in the movies. If you want to superimpose Buffalo running through New Era during a game go for it. If you somehow believe this to be “real,” why is there only one image/view. PS- keep the fly overs and the fans screaming in the stands. Screw the digital crap they are trying to feed the fans.
  22. These "news" stories are a bunch of rubbish. There are probably about 1000 people on the internet who are "outraged" by this. First, being outraged on the internet is a joke. Next, does anyone on this board know anyone who was offended? When these stories come up in conversation I never speak or know anyone who is outraged. It is a very small percentage of the population and the media grabs onto the story. I would guess about .0003% of the population is outraged.
