  1. Maybe, but I wouldn't rate Flores too highly yet. They didn't really beat anyone of note last year on their way to 10 wins. So, AFC East has one HOF coach, a really good young coach and a potentially good young coach. The AFC Central, AFC West and NFC South each have two Super Bowl winning coaches, so those divisions aren't the easiest to be stuck in as a 1st year head coach either.
  2. Thanks! I always wondered when I'd finally get to use the *vomit* emoji.
  3. Don't worry guys. Beane's just clearing out some space and using Carolina to hold Johnson for us for awhile. He'll trade the 6th rounder back to Carolina a few weeks down the road if we end up needing Bam Johnson.
  4. Hate to say it, but Jones and that Pats running game look really good. They will be a problem this year. It was nice to have a year where the rest of the division sucked. Lol
  5. The great thing is that Josh could have actually played better. It seemed like a pretty average performance from him and it accounted for 200 yards and two touchdowns in a single half of football.
  6. No. I don't think that's it at all. Minshew was outplayed by C.J. Beathard in preseason and camp, and Beathard has plenty of starting experience in the league. He's a quality player. Jax didn't need to keep both of them. Might as well get something for Minshew.
  7. Barring some seriously MAJOR injuries, we are not going 2-4 in the division. I'd bet my wife and first child on that.
  8. Here's the thing though, all they have to do is get a quick daily nasal swab and wear a mask when around others at the facility (or get the vaccine of course). The fact that they have short career windows, should only increase their willingness to follow the league mandated rules. If not, it says to me that they don't care so much about said NFL livelihoods.
  9. You're absolutely right. They are good players and their absence will hurt the team. Probably why their selfishness is pissing me off to this degree. Lol.
  10. It's time to take a stand and cut these clowns. I believe in personal choice, but their refusal to follow protocols is ridiculous and astoundingly selfish. Inmates can't be running the asylum. Nice players, but we'll survive without a couple of 5'8" gadget players.
  11. Jesus, this guy is an freaking idiot. Just cut his azz and be done with it. Take a stand right now. If you're not going to get vaccinated, you better darn well follow all of the protocols or you're on the street. I can't take much more of this idiocy.
  12. I've seen multiple references to the Beane press conference where he discusses our current vaccination status. Can someone please link to the press conference? Thanks so much!
  13. I respect personal choice and all, but all I can do is shake my head at this point, especially after Dion and Tommy's experiences and the Pfizer approval. It will be sad if losing one (or more) of these guys at the wrong time submarines our season. And beyond that, I hope these guys stay safe and don't find themselves really ill and in the hospital.
  14. Urban Meyer killed it at Bowling Green and Utah (winning a Fiesta Bowl when they were still in the MWC). The guy is a great, great coach and not necessarily dependent on being a great recruiter. It may not translate to the NFL, but I wouldn't write off Meyer based on 2 preseason losses as head coach of the worst team in the NFL.
  15. Interesting. I'm guessing McBeane trusts Josh's judgement and grabs these Wyoming boys for him, so they can record a little tape for the next stop on their professional football journeys.
  16. I thought the same thing. His productivity (YPA) fell off a cliff in his senior season. I didn't want the Bills anywhere near this guy in the early rounds.
  17. I take the 90s Bills. I think they're built to beat the current team. You beat this Bills team by running it down their throat and making them run the ball on offense. Don't think this current team would take advantage of the small 90's defensive line or be able to stop Thurman and Kenny Davis from running the ball like crazy. Just my opinion.
  18. Okay, I'll address the OP's hypothetical instead of crapping on him and calling him a troll: If we have to choose, I take McDermott. He has 4 years of actual head coaching experience and made the playoffs in 3 of 4 years, including winning our first AFC East championship in 25 years and leading us to an AFC Championship game. He also led us to the playoffs without Daboll and with Tyrod Taylor as our quarterback. I love the growth I've seen from Daboll (and Allen) over the past three years, but Daboll has 1 really great season out of many as an NFL offensive coordinator. Guys seem to love him and I'll be sad to see him leave, but I don't see any reason to believe he would be an upgrade over McDermott at the HC position.
  19. The guy in white didn't deserve what that drunken buffoon of a woman was dishing out. He was clearly trying to tell the lame boyfriend to check his girl when she went apes*"t on him. I abhor violence and do my best to avoid situations like this, but I have very little sympathy for the woman and her husband/boyfriend.
  20. Starter quality backup at $2.5 million/season. Why the hell would you even think of trading that?
  21. "Above average?" I think the term you're searching for is "masochist."
