  1. I'm a UCLA grad and a HUGE UCLA basketball fan who still catches multiple games in person every season. Last year's Final Four halfcourt buzzer beater loss to Gonzaga was being talked about as maybe the greatest Final Four game in history. Great to see your team be part of a historic moment. Not so great when they are on the losing end. Between that loss and last night - this past year has been a tough test of my resiliency as a sports fan, I'll tell you that much.
  2. Knox was wide open over the middle on the Davis 75 yard TD. He was out there, but had to stay in to help with protections a bit and KC was set to stop him.
  3. I honestly thought that Josh was going to be a "monster" this year. I thought he'd go for something like 45 TDs/5 Ints and a 15-2 regular season record. We finally saw that Josh late in the season and into the playoffs. Lets hope we can just pick up where we left off this September (with some improvements, of course, and a healthy Tre). I agree. The last guy to touch the ball was going to win that game. No doubt in my mind that Josh was going to conjure up whatever was needed when he got the ball back. Unfortunately, we were on the short end of the clock and the coin flip.
  4. I had no problem with the decision to kick it out of the endzone if Tyreek Hill were back there. No way would I give that guy an opportunity to touch the ball in open space in that scenario. If he's not out there (and he wasn't), then I like the option of kicking it high to the 5-10 yard line. Surprised that didn't happen without Hill on the field.
  5. I do like the comparison to the '89 squad. Came in with "next step" Super Bowl aspirations, but both ended up playing uneven over the course of the season and even had a little drama thrown in (bickering bills vs. Beas/Covid stuff). But I also agree with you that it feels like a much tougher row to hoe currently with Mahomes and other elite young guns like Herbert and Burrow potentially standing in your way every year for the next 10+ seasons (not to mention any other greats who come along in the next few years). Our window is open now and we really need to take advantage of it next year by winning the close regular season games and sweeping the division and all of the other gimme games that we should win. We are way too talented of a team with this version of Josh Allen to have been sweating making the playoffs out of the AFC East with 4 weeks left in the season. And going on the road to Arrowhead in the playoffs is a recipe for failure. I want these guys at home next year.
  6. Nah, he should go there and have a good time with fellow players around the league. Increase his profile a bit (he'd likely be the biggest star on display). Throw another 3 or 4 touchdowns in 2 quarters to just remind everyone who the new boss is.
  7. I don't think I can watch the Chiefs win another Super Bowl. If the Bengals play the Rams or Niners, I'll probably tune in, but it won't be a big production. Just watch at home for as long as it seems like a decent game.
  8. Yep. And that's why I didn't attack you personally. Thanks for the kind words. If we lash out at you, it's because we are hurting and trying to lick our wounds for a bit. And I'll say, for as good as Josh Allen was last night, Mahomes was every bit as great. His ability to magically escape the rush and extend plays in the first two quarters were probably the difference in the game. Our D actually played well in the first half IMO. Good pressure. Solid coverage. Mahomes just kept barely eluding their grasp and then showing off his wheels and tremendous accuracy. He basically wore us out and we had nothing left in the tank when we needed it most. Guy is an all-time great for sure. Same with Kelce and Hill (as much as it pains me to say it). Those guys are just All-World talents that can break a defensive gameplan - no matter how well devised.
  9. I'm not going to say that Frazier sucks. He's shown over many years to be an above-average defensive coordinator at the NFL level. That's no easy feat. But yes, the last series or regulation was atrocious - particularly that last play to Kelce. I absolutely cannot fathom how you can let him run completely free like that 15-20 yards up the field. You know Mahomes has to get rid of it lightning quick there. They aren't looking to beat you deep. They are looking for 15-20 yards and then to hit the ground ASAP. Watching that replay over and over and it's completely maddening. I just don't understand how you let that happen.
  10. I feel the same. Not gonna trash this OP personally. Not sure what his real motivation is for coming by here. Maybe he really was impressed with the Bills, has some empathy, and just wanted to share it with us. But it sure does feel like rubbing salt in the wound when you're on the losing side of the experience.
  11. Lol. You are one evil SOB!
  12. Woke up this morning and still hurting. I think what makes it so hard is that I really hate the Chiefs and this is two years in a row losing on their home field. If yesterday's result had happened last season, I think I could live with it. I hope this is all part of the maturation and progression like '89 was for the SB teams or even '18 was for the Chiefs. At least we now know that we can stand toe-to-toe with the Chiefs on their field. Two games this year vs them in Arrowhead and we outscored them by +12 and Josh was basically perfect against them in both games. Very much a Rocky I/II scenario at the moment. You know that the Chiefs want nothing to do with the Bills going forward, but unfortunately for them, they don't get to choose whether there will be a rematch. We are coming for them for the foreseeable future. Agreed. There were maybe three drives I can recall where we went 3 and out (or close to it) with some terribly conservative playcalling. Provided zero rest for the defense and it bit us in the ass at the end. Didn't even need to necessarily score on those drives, but pick up a couple of first downs, flip field position and give the D a bit of rest. We needed to play with the sense of urgency we saw on the first drive and during the last 8 minutes of the 4th quarter for the entire game. You have to assume that the Chiefs are going to score on every possession and manage the game accordingly.
  13. I sort of get being terrified of Hill after what he did to us in the second half. We should have dropped everyone back with 13 seconds though. Hill and Kelce should have been completely bracketed. Let Mahomes run around for 10 seconds waiting for someone to get open.
  14. He's the new Marty Schottenheimer.
  15. Yeah, but New England is the Pistons, the Chiefs are the Bulls and we are the Patrick Ewing Knicks.
  16. Yeah, I could use a beer to wash down this cyanide pill. Jk, of course
  17. This D was such a joke tonight, they probably thought it was a victory holding them to a field goal in 13 seconds.
  18. Kiss that goodbye after tonight. Going to be Frazier for the foreseeable future.
  19. Agreed. This one officially broke my spirit and will. Might hike up a mountain and join a monastery or something.
  20. Wide right / homerun throwback / 13 seconds
  21. Hard to believe we are still in it. We are getting dominated in yardage and TOP. Could be down by 14 easy
