Holy crap, there are actually Bortles fans out there?!!!! Take a look at W-L record while you’re at it. -

Allen is already a better QB than Bortles ever dreamed of being. His 4th quarter performances alone are all anyone needs to see. -
Everyone raved about Vick and everyone raved about Kaepernick, and we know their shelf lives. Vick reinvented himself for a short time and perhaps Kaep would have too, but we’ve seen the “next big thing” at QB before. It doesn’t last.

What Looked Like a Billsy Loss Becomes a Patriotsy Win
eball replied to theRalph's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The only thing I’ll add here is that if you put Bills uniforms on the Dolphins and Pats*** uniforms on the Bills yesterday, the only narrative would be how the Pats*** always find a way to win and how Belichick “owns” McD. -
What's really funny is reading how Buffalo turned Miami's two turnovers into touchdowns -- while conveniently omitting that the Bills drove NINETY-EIGHT freaking yards after the first one.

Joe B Observations on Bills win over Phins
eball replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. We've all seen it when Fitz is "on" and he was certainly motivated today. Even the pick wasn't a terrible throw, although I've seen it described as "wobbly" in a couple of places. Tre just made an All-Pro play. -
Rational Thoughts Day After Dolphins Game
eball replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
#1: Agree completely -- it's a good thing that the standard has been raised. #4: I feared Milano's absence might be felt and it was...I think Corey Thompson is the guy we really want in that situation but he wasn't yet ready to go either. #9: They were ok. Much better in 2nd half but there were too many penalties (I include TEs in that regard). #10: Yes. I don't care what Philly's record is; win that game and everyone will take notice. Bottom line -- no team, and particularly not a (mostly) young one without a history of success, is going to be "on" each Sunday. Miami was destined to put together at least one "good" game this season and luckily for us it still wasn't enough. This was an excellent teaching point for McD, who now won't have to get his players to believe they have to show up from the opening snap. I think the Bills made good halftime adjustments and received two All-Pro plays from Tre White to get the job done. Don't ever apologize for winning in this league (or for not winning by enough). -
First Time I have been concerned with Josh Allen

I don't think many Bills fans share this concern. -

The defense is absolutely SB caliber, and for that reason they are a legitimate contender. The offense has shown it is competent when they don't turn the ball over or commit needless penalties. Once you get to the playoffs if you have a defense that will keep you "in it" you have a chance. I've said all along that I believed this year's Bills would get into the playoffs and perhaps even win a game, but next season is where it really all comes together with some added piece(s) on offense. That said, if the offense continues to progress and is playing well in December/January look out. -
Ugly W aside, the AFC results all pretty much went the Bills' way yesterday. Gained a game on the Texans, Raiders, and Chargers, and Baltimore won a game against the NFC that nearly cripples their playoff tiebreakers.

A Few Thoughts about the Dolphins Game, in no particular order
eball replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have an idea -- can't the Bills just bring in Marv Levy to do the pregame speech each week? -
SNF: Eagles at Cowboys (-3) 8:20 NBC
eball replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I will freely admit I'm surprised by last night's result. I haven't watched very much Iggles football this year but it appears Dallas completely dominated that game. The Iggles will be a desperate team this week. The question is whether the Bills match their intensity for 60 minutes. -
I think Josh fits the definition of "gamer" to a T. I was very frustrated in the 1st half but then Josh goes out there and plays an almost perfect 2nd half. The dude dials it in when it's crunch time, and that's a great quality to have in a QB. Teams shouldn't apologize for "ugly" wins. The whole point is to get the W and thankfully the Bills have a couple of guys -- Josh and Tre White -- who were not going to let them lose.
-
Yeah, this is where I am. They haven’t been in this position before and needed to get a taste of adversity as the favorite. The key is that they pulled through thanks to two All-Pro plays by Tre White and a fantastic 2nd half by Josh. It’s definitely true that teams need to “learn” how to win.

Cole Beasley with the line of the day
eball replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, I guess that is correct in the first half but he led three scoring drives and didn’t turn the ball over, which is progress. -
What did YOU Do That Made The Bills Win Today?
eball replied to Nanker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You know what I did? Nothing. I predicted an easy win and they made me sweat it out a bit but wound up winning by 10. -
Cole Beasley with the line of the day
eball replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He needs to figure it out, because despite that being an overall ugly game Josh played pretty well except for the deep shots. -
Yeah, I'm not buying what you're selling. I completely agree the Vikings overlooked the Bills and were punched in the mouth quickly by Buffalo in the 1Q and never recovered. Still, that Bills roster is nothing at all like the Fish roster, and I think the Bills this year are a (much) better team than the Vikings were last year. We can agree to disagree -- I'm on the 10-step BBFS recovery plan and not worrying about games the Bills clearly should win is step 3.
-
I really don't see a parallel besides the point spread. Buffalo was an unknown entity last season but it's clear they were talented. There is nothing talented about the roster Miami will trot out onto the field at The Cap on Sunday.

Any Bills fan who is not extremely confident about this game is simply suffering from longstanding BBFS.
