  1. They do, yours just sucks. 😛
  2. I'll go on record that McDermott has a stupidly long rope as long as the Pegulas own the team. Beane's is not quite as long; maybe an inch shorter. The Pegulas love these guys and why shouldn't they? Complete pros and family men who have built one of the best cultures in the league and selected/groomed another home run role model in Josh. The only way these guys are being fired is if some sort of scandal comes up -- and that just ain't happening. Now, if things gradually decline then eventually the situation changes, but who realistically and reasonably thinks that is likely to happen?
  3. This. And there are other examples around the league. The Saints helmets vs. the trim on their jerseys -- different gold. The Cowboys mix the navy and royal blues. I don't get it.
  4. @machine gun kelly you’re not sucking me in! Go Bills! Go Josh!
  5. It has been a while, but we finally got an RJ vs. Flutie thread going! The next four days can not go by quickly enough.
  6. I hear ya…what does it for me is the fact this is THE opener, and a chance to see SoFi and hang out in Marina del Rey for a few days. I used points to book the hotel and the game is amazingly free (suite). I’ll be doing the at home thing the following week, putting up my 120” screen in the backyard and inviting friends over for the Monday nighter.
  7. There is an odd take out there about how Tyrod led the best Bills offense of the 2010s during Rex’s two years and never turned the ball over, so therefore he should be appreciated. It’s ridiculous. I think that particular offense was run-centric (Greg Roman) and didn’t ask Tyrod to do very much. When he was asked to step up, he rarely delivered. Somebody said his YPA was 8.0 in 2015…yippee. That usually happens when run-happy teams pass the ball, because they’re not playing the possession passing game. And oh-by-the-way, once Roman was canned two games into the 2016 season Tyrod’s YPA that season and the next dropped to 6.9 and 6.7. I remember two games in which Tyrod looked the part of an NFL starter, both in 2016 — at Seattle and vs. Miami in December — and the Bills still lost both of those. In 2017 his stats were eerily similar to 2016…the difference in the Bills finally making the playoffs was better defensive play and some good luck. Much is made about the Bills’ point differential in 2017, but that can almost entirely be attributed to the horrendous 3-week stretch in which they gave up 135 points to the Jets, Saints, and Chargers. In their other 14 games they gave up more than 20 pts only three times (twice to the Pats***). Somebody suggested that if we only appreciate Tyrod for being the drought-ending QB we’re just stupid homers who enjoyed being on social media when the Bills finally made the playoffs. I’m still trying to figure that one out. Tyrod is by all accounts a heluva guy and great teammate, and he deserves recognition for carving out a great living for himself as an NFL football player. He’s not a great QB, never was, and his three years in Buffalo were nothing special, although they did provide some lasting memories.
  8. Yeah, that’s a pretty extreme take. And I’m not even a Baker fan.
  9. Yeah, #3 is a dumb one…obviously from someone who doesn’t closely follow the team. It’s Rousseau’s job to lose, but everyone knows there will be a rotation. I have to admit I’ve become more and more concerned about the Tre timeline. It’s probably just the lack of information coming out of OBD; all we hear is “he’s on schedule, he’s working hard.” Once training camp hits we’ll find out the real story…sort of.
  10. 30 seconds is a long time, my friend.
  11. So you admit your laziness. Noted.
  12. Any particular reason for the shouting?
  13. Wow, talk about an exercise in futility.
  14. Hey, so I did my homework and watched McKenzie's catches against the Pats and where he was lined up. He was in the slot a bunch, and also in motion. He was lined up as the outside receiver in the formation a few times. But the motion part is what leads me to believe the Bills can scheme things up if either Diggs or Davis miss any significant time. Anyway, we'll just have to wait and see I guess.
  15. It likely IS irrelevant, since I'm unaware of any owner being sued by more than two dozen women for sexual assault. There is no precedent.
  16. If what you say is true then my mistake. I didn’t go back and watch, it just seemed his routes and catches in that game were not of the Beasley variety.
  17. You didn't think a 3rd down pass-catching back with speed was a missing element to this offense? They drafted a WR in the 4th. Sorry they disappointed you by a round. McKenzie can play outside; he showed it against the Pats***. Crowder doesn't have to exclusively play in the slot. We don't know what Shakir brings except for those short arms, but he's a tough receiver who fights to make contested catches. It's not a "if Diggs or Davis go down get ready for TD Jesus" situation. Ideally the Bills would be three-deep with starter quality at every position. Shame on Beane.
  18. Over an 11-year career PP had 15 INTs, 8 forced fumbles (1 recovery), and 59 TFL. He was JAG. Pretty sure tackler but not an impact player.
  19. The Bills have only lost one playoff game at Rich/Ralph/Highmark. To Jacksonville.
  20. Last year’s D line was a paper tiger. The strength of the D was the secondary and LBs. Jerry played ok and Rousseau held his own but as you state, there were no difference makers besides Oliver. The complete reshuffle of that line shows me Beane “gets it” and saw the same thing. It won’t surprise me one bit if the Bills’ D this year is just plain nasty. My one and only concern is how quickly Tre returns and whether there is an adequate plan until that happens (which is why I’m hoping Haden is a possibility).
  21. I didn't hate Tyrod, and the bottom line is that he was the QB for the team that ended the drought. All I can remember, though, is that we only scored 3 freaking points at Jacksonville in the playoffs.
  22. C'mon, man, live a little! This is the NFL opener!
  23. Agreed. There is a thoughtful and considerate way to do it, and a "I know more than you do" way to do it.
