Certainly - agree that it all comes down to who you pick. They need to get that right, and on the specific players - they have to judge that. Last year, I was very upset when they took Coleman over McConkey, but I am all in for hoping Keon works out. I am worried about him though due to inability to separate. We will see about Bishop and Carter, I still think both will be good. And Ray Davis. And Grable, perhaps. And perhaps the LB. It has not done much yet, but I think last year's draft may end up being a pretty good one. Coleman is the one that worries me most.

I feel that we should do the opposite of trying to reach for a generational talent. 20-40 in the draft are all rated about the same by scouts. I would trade down and get into the third if I could while still getting a pick inside the top 40. (great if, for example, the Giants want Dart) And I would use some of our later picks to trade up within rounds to make sure we get people who we believe will make the team and help now. We could trade back to 35-ish and get one of the top corners (Ravel, Morrison, Hairston, Thomas), a quality Edge and a tank 1 technique all with our first three picks. To me, it seems obvious we are three things short of winning a SB: speed and ability to cover in the defensive backfield, edge pressure, and beef in the middle that can push the pocket and stop the run. I would love the following: 1. 1 Tech - Grant, Harmon, T. Williams or Collins (and another one like Cam Jackson, Caldwell or Stackhouse in the 5th or 6th round) 2. Corner - Morrison, Ravel, Thomas, Hairston, Otis. (Maybe need one later too like D. Strong, Q. Riley, or N. Williams). 3. Edge - BC guy Ezeiraku (sp?), Sawyer, Princely, Pearce, Green, Landon Jackson Then as picks permit, get Josh a mid-round receiver and a late round guard with traits. Maybe a RB or TE late. What we need to win is definitely out there in numbers this year - DB, DT, DE.

It is a good question. I think based on traits and on-field performance alone, I could get behind the Abdul Carter choice. However, I know someone at that team who says Carter is not well-liked by teammates because he is self-focused rather than team focused and kind of in-your-face about his Muslim faith. For those reasons I would not want him. Nor would I want any of the QBs. So what's left? Maybe Travis Hunter - if he can be an elite DB and give you a few snaps on offense to stretch the field, could kind of be exactly what we need. Would love to have him, would not mortgage two drafts to get him.

Edge - 2 please, one drafted high, one FA Free Safety - starter, drafted pretty high (Rounds 2 or 3?) WR - whenever you see value. Need another pick in rounds 2 or 3, go up and get it!

We are a field goal away from the Super Bowl - and if Kincaid makes a tough catch or we get a fair spot we might well be in it. There is lots of talent, just came up a little short. The previous disappointments we all have just don't count when weighing this roster. Those rosters are done and dusted. And the facts say this roster and coaching staff fell just short of the best. Not all is bleak. But in fairness to your point - I thought the D needed some players all year.

We have 3 premium picks, but I think we need four on defense - I would not use any on offense. 1. Big butt 1 technique that can stuff the run and push the pocket; 2. Edge;; 3. Corner; 4. Safety Need four defensive playmakers. Plus a bunch more defensive depth at corner, linebacker and line.

We have 10 years, more if they are smart and draft Josh's replacement a year or two before he is done. Hopefully, Josh will be helpful with them on timing that out. Rogers and Favre might not have done that, but I could see Josh giving management a heads-up "I plan to play two more years." Fortunately, we are far, far from that day.

The sun rises folks. We have a young and very talented roster. This group outperformed expectations, whether or not it performed to its maximum potential yesterday (I don't think it did). We need more athletes on defense, plain and simple. We are close. We have 10 picks in the draft. There is reason for optimism. Phase II of the "reset" undertaken this year may well push us over the top. Enjoy the ride, and never say die! Go Bills!!

First year back - rough year. Achilles often takes two years. And we know how he works - he has a chance. He is looking pretty close, Harbaugh is not stupid and he traded for him. Bring him home as a backup at the right price. He is younger than Rasul I think. What would it cost? No idea if this could happen, but I would bet they have the conversation.

Man, I don't know. Very tough to tell from TV. I like all of Ingram, Lewis, Bishop & Elam. And Jackson and Hyde. I think we have amazing secondary depth and trust McD who sees them practice everyday and studies the All-22 to decide who starts. I hope Bishop gets over the hump, but he is more of a strong than a free and I think Rapp has been very good.

Not sure that loss to the Rams won't be good for us in the long run. Admittedly I am an optimist, but I am calling a Bills win in an upset against Detroit.

"Pegula in the background" -- that is one of the keys to our franchise, he does not mess with the football men. Ask the Jets about Woody! I always say how lucky we are to have Beane and McDermott, but Pegula is almost (just?) as important. I was at the Dolphins game in 2014 after he just bought the team. As I am sure many here were. I had cringed for months at the prospect of owner Trump or Bon Jovi - or the Toronto Bills. I remember all the "Pegulaville." signs walking to The Ralph. And many signs saying "staying" or "were not leaving" - which broke out in chants all day. Thankful for the big guy.

McDermott is a great coach who has a chance ro make it to The Hall.
