  1. He was injured in year 1 and basically missed camp. He wasn't a world beater but neither was Yarbrough or Davis. I doubt he's cut as his cap hit will more than double if released. Traded maybe, but only if they believe that they have the depth at DE to cover his loss. As for him as a player - obviously we'd all like to see more from him. But he's on a rookie contract, he's 23 years old, and there's a ton of potential there - hopefully he's motivated to get a 5th year option or raise.
  2. I believe we brought in Gaines for that spot. He's still available if we need depth at the position. We know he's not a star - hes 28 years old. You don't find stars by just settling for the mediocre DB that you had the year before.
  3. They have McCown, Bridgewater, Darnold - they still have Hack who might have trade value - but everyone knows he gets cut. Maybe he sticks til preseason game 4 just to see if you can squeeze a pick out of someone, but i don't think anyone's offering anything for the guy.
  4. It seems like they did an investigation upon them being made aware of the rumors, and after that they spoke to him about it and it seems like he was forced to resign.
  5. Dallas could just sign julius thomas or gary barnidge and not have to give anything up. They also don't have the cap room to make this work without extending clay.
  6. I want them to work harder than the guys next to him, film study - extra reps - weight room etc. I want him to have that moxie and swagger that is just infectious... you're never out of a game with this guy. I don't want there to be any inherent weaknesses to his game. It makes you so much harder to gameplan for when you can do a little bit of everything.
  7. Colts moved from 3 to 6 and got 3 seconds... and the guy they probably wanted at 3.
  8. I mean he was basically in charge from 06 on - once they fired donahoe he got a big promotion. The team's general lack of success or direction in 10+ years has to be somewhat attributed to that.
  9. I'm personally glad he's gone because of BOTH team's general lack of success during his tenure. People get fired all the time for less, and they may have been looking for a reason to get out of his contract - hence the investigation (purely speculation)
  10. I love that you're defending him and you have no idea what he even did. He could have made unwanted advances to someone (or multiple people), or his behavior could have caused some issues at work (making a scene in the office, or just inappropriate office behavior in general), or he could have just used inappropriate language for the office. In the end they did an investigation, and when confronted - he basically told them he did nothing wrong. You just draw a parallel to a married couple who met prior to working together in like 1990 - and say that's somehow the same thing. They could have you know, been transparent and openly dating.
  11. Howso? He acted inappropriate at work, and had inappropriate work relationships (lets assume he did something wrong). When confronted about it by his boss and likely HR, this was the end result - and they mentioned deceit as a reason why.
  12. That's all well and good... but you don't really know the nature of KP & TPs relationship (IE they could have been dating before she started), or the nature of Brandon's indiscretions (he may have just had a consensual relationship with one person, or he could have done something completely different and inappropriate). So it's a tad of a stretch and generalization.
  13. Beane didn't go down for anything. That's the slander part. Brandon is the one who was let go.
  14. I mean... it seems like they met. and have been together for like 25-30 years? It's not really comparable to the president of the company sleeping with subordinates imo.
  15. They practice with the kicker and the punter on the other field like the whole time. Your backup center has to actually snap to QBs a lot, and work on blocking technique. If they practiced at a different time - maybe it could work? It's why the punters basically always hold kicks now too, they're already over there with the LS and kicker.
  16. Could look at EJ's career 67% and say the same thing
  17. Cardale played in the Urban Meyer Spread-Option offense. Likely didn't call a play in the huddle, never set a protection, never took a snap under center. He only threw the ball 269 times in college before he went professional. He didn't come off as a particularly bright guy, or x's and o's guy. His accuracy woes were alarmingly bad, and he had a national championship caliber team with playmakers like Zeke elliot and Michael thomas. He mustered 8 TDs. That guy was a project in every sense of the word. They preferred Peterman because I think they were more confident he could develop into a capable backup QB. Exactly - if he sucks. I will be honest and say he sucks. If he's great - I'll root like hell for the guy. My biggest Jones gripe was how many OSU games he went to in 2016. I feel like he was there every week. I know you're the 3rd QB and stuff... but one would think you'd care enough to TRY and show that you should be playing.
  18. Yeah - will def need to limit his snaps. We play a ton of nickel as it is, and Milano and Edmunds project to be the 2 LBs in a nickel this year
  19. Lorax was basically the best player on the field in that playoff game, so I know the guy can still play somewhere. I wouldn't fully discount his ability to play Sam and add some edge rushing rotation. Murphy, lorax and probably yarbrough.. honestly like all of them just gotta collapse the pocket more
  20. He literally tweeted it during the game that the announcers made those comments
