  1. I mean... Dareus was late to a GAME... and was easily top 3 most overpaid players in the league.
  2. I know he's a QB and we want to evaluate that part of his game. However, he also had 24/158 and a TD on the ground in that game, and they lost by 4 to a team that is much better. I mean - he ran for over 100 yards in 10 of 13 games... It's not like we're not tacking on Tyrods like 30 yards here and there, this guy averaged over 100 per game. To me it's tough to evaluate a guy like that based on stats because of what he was asked to do. Which is pretty much everything. He's an upside kinda guy who would have to do well in interviews, and will be a project type who needs a lot of time. Not sure I would want to invest 1st round picks in the guy, but the talent is certainly there.
  3. Only ever see it when trading up to pick 1. The eagles did it when they traded to pick 2 - but they knew it was goff or wentz and they were ok with that.
  4. Right - but we traded Watkins, Darby, Ragland, and Dareus last year... traded down for extra picks... weren't we re-building last year?
  5. Yeah - except jacksons probably faster, more athletic/elusive, and has far more arm strength.
  6. That's a lot to trade. You're also assuming they want glenn over peters. Peters has proven to be a better player than glenn when healthy, and neither are healthy. They're at the cap, they want picks not bad contracts. If anything they'd send Jimmy G was had for a 2nd as well, but he also didn't play like garbage from 2014-2015 either. Honestly though - he looked sharp and I would target him as a bridge/insurance policy if the draft doesn't fall your way.
  7. I guess - i just remember watching him play in 2016 and thinking he didn't even seem like the best QB on the field half the time.
  8. I thought he was over drafted, and should've stayed in school for at least 1 more year.
  9. I do question the talent level that they've had on defense the last 2 years. This year they had even less - Hightower was hurt in 2017, they traded collins in 2016, Chandler jones was traded in 2015, they didn't bring back long, traded for Ealy and cut him. Harrison and a guy they pried off the bills practice squad played like a combined 80 snaps. The talent was very mediocre on their defense this year. I mean - they went from 7-9 to 13-3, and the rams went from 4-12 to 11-5. I think both were deserving. McDermott certainly was overlooked - coaching imo is the number 1 reason you win close games. And we won quite a few of them this year. I think LA going from worst to first in offense was seen as a major point.
  10. I mean - yes and no. Philadelphia ran the ball plenty in that game, and they ran it really well.
  11. There's also times where being conservative can win. If you're ahead say - 3... I'd consider punting. Teams often get caught playing for the 3, and you might end up with enough time left to steal one with a FG at the end.
  12. We had 589 in that loss to Miami in 2016.
  13. I mean... McD got Buffalo to the playoffs with a pretty lousy roster.
  14. The patriots pass rush looked like the bills did at times. No pressure, arriving a second too late and not disrupting his delivery. Felt like the eagles averaged like 8 yards per carry in the run game. Kept running to the outside where NE is worst. Even ran a lot of swing passes and screens to the outside very effectively. The secondary took poor angles all game long - that 55 yard pass to corey clement was just... bad. Terrible angle, missed bumping him off his line so he's wide open in a single high safety look. Then your safety gets trucked... like what are you doing?! The call is man coverage, how does a running back get that open? Linebackers were missing tackles, getting gashed over the middle. Couldn't make plays in the red zone when it counted. Even I saw the trick play coming.
  15. Yeah - he's under contract, and hes affordable. Makes sense. Only way they consider it is if they can get a really solid return. Top 100 Pick, and an affordable replacement like McCown or something.
  16. Their only stop was when brady just missed catching a first down pass on a trick play. Can't punt there when you haven't stopped them all game.
  17. i just look at it like 5 minutes left and you're losing by 1. Give Brady the ball at your 40, or give it to him at his 20. You haven't stopped them ALL game - and you expect to stop him there? Up 5 with 2 minutes left at least you know that they are passing, and that they are likely going to keep stuff to the sidelines more.
  18. And he was slingin it too. Down field passes, tight windows. He was on point.
  19. Eh - it looked like he was a good 2 yards off the LOS - thus 7 not on the line. There's a guy standing there who's job it is to make sure of that on every play. Ref's swallowed their flags for once - it was kind of refreshing TBH.
  20. The big thing i noticed... there was like no pressure all game. Also - 0 offensive holding calls... 0 PI calls... they even missed an illegal formation on that Foles TD catch. The refs didn't call that like any other NFL game I have watched all year. Every catch call went with what was on the field.
  21. Only reason i say it was a smart decision.. you legit haven't stopped the patriots all game. One failed 4th down at that point - 0 Punts. You knew you weren't winning the game with defense.
  22. I hated the spiller pick... When that pick popped up i said DEZ BRYANT and got really excited. I just thought he was going to be really good. If not him - then I thought defense - pass rushers for sure.
  23. I'd almost rather have Glennon or McCown. Especially if they're a lot cheaper.
  24. I remember i hated losman. I remember desperately hoping we would trade in front of pittsburgh with jax. GRRR I also remember hating the marshawn pick - we had 0 need for that guy at the time or really ever.
