  1. You are eerily spot on man. It really is a problem that starts with the ownership and trickles all the way down to the field. The disconnect in the front office translates directly to a disconnect on the field between the players. All the players love Rex only because of his leniency and the fact that he rarely holds players accountable for their actions. Why wouldn't the players love him? I believe the Pegulas got really bad advice on hiring him to the be coach in the first place. I don't think Rex is a terrible coach but in order for him to be successful he needs to have a veteran QB who doesn't need any guidance and can pretty much solely run the offense. He also needs stellar players on defense in order for his out of date and over complicated defense to work. With the way our QB situation was when he was hired, it was extremely confusing as to why we wouldn't hire a coach who was familiar with working with young QBs. I mean look at franchises like the Redskins, Cowboys, Raiders, Chiefs, Dolphins....etc. The Bills just seem like they're trying to build a house without a blueprint. Tyrods stats aren't nearly as bad as people think they are.
  2. I think injuries are a big problem. The biggest concern I have, is with the GM and coaches not properly evaluating the talent they have on the team and where they're thin at. It's mind boggling that they didn't know before this season that Duke Williams and Jonathan Meeks were terrible back ups. Also that they made no real effort to address the WR corps. So I really think the injuries more or less showed how inept of a job Doug Whaley is doing.
  3. Well said, I'd rather have Tyrod. He turns the ball over less and creates more opportunities with his legs.
  4. It would be very hard to fire Rex if we finish 9-7 this year. I think even most of the fans who dislike Rex would have to agree. I can't remember when going 9-7 in Buffalo warranted a coach to be fired.
  5. I think this is the type of thing that makes Rex a bad coach. He realizes that something clearly isn't working but refuses to change it just because. There's really no reason to run complex defenses anymore. I honestly think to for Rex's defense to work you have to have a really good MLB, shutdown corner, Dominate DLine and a very smart safety. Unless you have all of those components on the field at the same time (which is a lot to ask) his defense is too much. We really don't have the safety/ies to run his defense right now.
  6. Yeah Zack Brown needs to take shot. I really don't care if they get penalized, it's well worth it.
  7. Right?!?! It was insane that the Bills didn't lay the hammer after he was hit by Landry. After watching the way Aquib Talib and the Broncos stood up for Chris Harris in last weeks game against the Titans it really was good to see players not tolerating cheap shots. Buffalo needs to lay the hammer this week.
  8. I think people are being a little too critical of the guy, he's only been playing for a little over a month now. Give the guy some time to find his way. He hasn't been the best but he hasn't been horrible either. In limited action he's had 12 tkls and 2 sacks with a FF.
  9. Spot on man, if they're going to fire Rex then they better fire Whaley and remove Russ from anything thing personnel/coaching related. Otherwise you might as well just keep Rex.
  10. Yeah Felton is doing an excellent job this year all together. You're right though, the past few weeks he's been playing extremely well.
  11. Valid point, maybe not so much like Jerry Jones though....I think that's too much. It could turn out bad like Dan Snyder was with the Redskins back in the day.
  12. Very well put....there's such a lack of football knowledge and a lack of knowledge of what it takes to win in Buffalo. Russ Brandon doesn't need to do anything but sell tickets. He doesn't deserve to have any input on any football personnel at all.
  13. Yeah I'm not sure why we need to see more EJ, we've seen 3 years of him and he's proven time and time again that he's not a starter.
  14. Definitely. Just entirely clear house, it's time. Everyone has had their chance to prove that this could work.
  15. Never thought about it but yeah I could see Rex maybe being a GM one day. Idk how contract savvy he is though.
  16. Yeah I'm happy to see everyone getting healthy and playing together. I think if Buffalo could get the run game going early and hit on some play action passes and stretch the field, we have a decent shot to win.
  17. I think the main problem in Buffalo is the coaching. Most of their loses this year have come from being outcoached on all sides of the ball. Along with that, this team is very very undisciplined which makes winning that much harder to accomplish.
  18. Honestly it's really on the whole team. Tyrod was bad, the defense was bad, coaching was bad and even special teams was bad. It was a total collapse. Besides the running game, there's nothing good about this team right now.
