To me he's just an average coach but his players will ride or die for him and I love that. I've never liked Rex though, he just talks too much. I just think that he tries too hard to be noticed with his mouth instead of with his coaching.
interesting.....Tate, Boldin, Kerley, Lance Moore, TJ Jones, Corey Fuller, Andre Caldwell, Marvin Jones, Andre Roberts....They have A LOT of receivers going into camp. Should be an intense competition.
I like the 4 divisions but it would have to be AFC EAST / AFC WEST and NFC EAST / AFC WEST. Like basketball does that way you would have east and west champs in each conference.
I think a realignment would be good at this point. It's time to create some new rivalries, have to agree with the people who would swap Buffalo to the AFC North for Baltimore coming to the AFC East but the Steelers and Ravens are one of the only good rivalries in football right now so the NFL wouldn't mess with it. I'd probably swap the Dolphins for the Colts and the Cowboys with the Panthers.
Right?! Like the legal part has been beaten to death. It has nothing to do with anything. People have to realize what Doug Whaley said would be like LeBron James saying that Nike hires people to make sneakers in South East Asia in unbearable conditions.
I believe that if that was the case then every GM for every team would have to brought in as well. Not to mention from prior years. We're getting way ahead of ourselves. The league has already acknowledged the fact that they have made the mistake of not protecting their players, that's why they are paying out money in a settlement to a large number of players. This statement doesn't have legal ramifications because they have already been implemented by the SCOTUS and NFLPA to the NFL.
I somewhat understand what you're saying but Doug Whaley works for Bills. Terry and Kim Pegula write Doug Whaley's check. I don't really see the hypocrisy of anything to be honest. I really just see him being overly honest and blunt.
What Doug Whaley said was the absolute truth. Unfortunately the absolute truth is bad for business, the business of the NFL owners and NFL. It's a pretty basic understanding that guys running at speeds of up to 20mph who are 200lb plus pounds of muscle is a recipe for disaster. The fanatic side of people don't want to believe it but simply he's spot on.
I think Gilmore missing OTA's is no big deal at all. Him missing OTA's due to money is just BS is my opinion. He's going to make over $11 million this year on the last year of his rookie contract. I get that he wants a long term deal but he's not getting shafted by any means. These players need to learn how to play out their contracts (especially when they're currently being paid). The worst part is, he hasn't played a full season since his rookie year.
I could really care less, Robert Woods has a good skill set but he's pretty average. He hasn't brought much to the table as of yet. Maybe and hopefully he has a break out year.
Per Ian Rapoport: #Saints LT Terron Armstead signed a 5-year extension worth $64.5M base, source said. $38M guaranteed for injury, $25M fully guaranteed. Big.
Whaley and the boys did a good job!
Williams and gillislee cannot make up for Shady in any way whatsoever. It's kind of strange that every time we actually have a good player or we're paying a good player, people just want to get rid of them or trade them. It's not our money, he's not the highest paid RB, he's not a detriment to the team (as of now). When Shady is on the field he commands extra attention, which in turn helps a ton with play action passing and in the passing game in general.
I think Buffalo has to take a QB at some point in this draft. It just doesn't need to be in round 1, there's no point. We have a starter and a QB at 19. We need a lot of help in pretty much every other position.
I have to agree with you on that the fact that he expects waaayyyy too much. He's 25-37 as a starter, he's made over $70mil in his career and has done absolutely nothing at all. He's beyond injury prone. He's should just be lucky to have a job.
Yeah, I'm 100% on board as far as Buffalo moving up for Ramsey. I really think they are going to go after him, especially with the uncertainty of Aaron Williams. Ramsey is the only player worth moving up for. Jack is good but it's just a matter of time before his knee is done for good. There's no reason to trade up for a QB IMO.
