  1. Yes. This is what I wanted to explore. What theoretical advantages are there for either case? Does one weigh more than the other? (Unless they aren't taking Murray, logic would dictate that there must be) I cannot come up with a reason for either case being 'significantly' stronger. Personally, knowing my draft pick stock beforehand would be preferable, which would support trading him now...which they aren't doing. EDIT: Earlier, someone said during the draft and he would be a consolation for a team that missed a QB target. Do we think that could cause a panic overvaluation?
  2. https://www.denverpost.com/2017/05/12/jalen-robinette-buffalo-bills-tryout/ Indeed. Looks like he was a try out.
  3. I see where you are going with the first point, but then in your second point when you say you 'don't think it matters when they decide to put him on the block', doesn't that invalidate the first point? If it doesn't matter when they make him available for trade, what does it matter if the other teams know whether or not they are taking Murray?
  4. I think it comes down to whether there is logic that supports not putting him on the block now ahead of the draft vs. trading him while they are on the clock or after they draft Murray. That's the part that I am wrestling with. Re-reading your comment, its possible that you are implying that revealing that they are taking Murray is a negative. I don't see how that is the case when they have the #1 pick. If you have theories on either point, please share.
  5. The moment they draft a QB #1 overall, Rosen's trade value drops as teams know they aren't going to keep Rosen. While one could argue that teams will begin bidding on him, if they simply announced his availability now, the bidding would happen either way (assuming he is as coveted as people think). I just cant see the value in waiting if they know they are taking Murray.
  6. Honestly, I was 12 and the year was 1990. My dad got me to watch a few games and when they made their playoff run, I just got pulled in. My first 4 seasons as a fan...4 super bowls. Now I am 41 and my liver occasionally hurts...
  7. I was arrested for shoplifting and as part of the plea deal, I had to become a Bills fan.
  8. He is too young. We are trying to get older at the position. Haha.
  9. Thanks. I reviewed and voted. Buffalo is moving away from the blue collar world. Between the medical campus and the various banks that have their operations here, I just feel we aren't the steel factory focused environment that we used to be. The only one I thought was close to viable was the Buffalo Charge.
  10. There is no need to shorten the URL unless you are hiding something that can be seen in the URL. Post the full URL so people can see what you are asking them to access. This seems shady.
  11. But he still calmed it down so the WRs could catch the ball. Taking it in stride is a good response though.
  12. I cant mathematically reconcile this information. I am sure there is a detail that I am missing. If the price per ticket went up by $3 and it was an increase of $60, this would lead me to believe that you have 20 season tickets. But then you say 'for the pair', which would imply an increase of $6, not $60. What caused the additional $54 increase for the two tickets? Edit - This sort of feels like one of those 'Jimmy has 12 pies' situations...
  13. 'We intend to be active in the free agent market...' 'calculated' Having a plan is not the same as being frugal...or 'very frugal'.
  14. I just turned the game off. I am so sick of NE getting calls that no one else gets. 3 in a 30 min window did it for me. I hope KC wins, I just cant watch the NE ball licking fest.
  15. I think moving forward, due to the 2018 draft, we need to consider Arizona, NYJ, Cleveland and Baltimore potential rivals until we see which QBs rise to the top. Hopefully more than one so there can be a rivalry established.
  16. Many of the points are repetitive...makes me itchy.
  17. Same thing here at the Sabre's games. I work across the street from the arena and the Sheriff's Dept. (SWAT I think) park in our lot. They wear military green and carry some serious hardware. Not that they would be the ones to react to a physical altercation, but they are there waiting for some serious ***** to go down.
  18. I want to applaud this thread. Excellent topic, several people providing opinions and insight related to the topic. I feel better educated on QB/WR mechanics for having read it.
  19. I like the connection that because it will be warm, Josh will 'heat up'. That's some good science there. Also, I will leave this here: 'Its hard to win in the NFL...'.
  20. Thank you for actually watching a play and understanding what you saw....
  21. Until we are out of 'what'? I want you to say it...go ahead. As for the OP, given a weaker schedule and some experience under his belt, it certainly is possible.
