How much is shipping & handling? -
Seriously. I figured he meant strippers, but sometimes when there are strippers there are also various types of back room raffles. Not too long ago, someone brought up some chit that happened decades ago, that should have been forgotten or at least kept in the vault, but was still causing arguments!! Go figure.

They usually pass through at a local free festival or two in the summer. Good party band! When I saw them there were more than three musicians, though! One year they opened for Marshall Tucker and were a LOT better. Of course there was only one person from the original Tucker band and he could not sing. -

I have a 1961 Gretsch guitar. I bought it from a guy for $15. I also have an Admiral "stereophonic" phonograph in a wooden console cabinet. It is basically a turntable, speakers and amplifier (with tubes). 95% of it is furniture. I'll bet the grandparents had some great bragging rights with that in the early 60's. I am working on it. So far the 16 and 33 1/3 rpm do not work but the 45 and 78 rpm speeds are ok! I have two other receiver/amp/eight track players to power two other turntables. Sadly, I lost most of my LPs in a flood. I had a few hundred in mint condition (and a few hundred more that were very well used). -

Truth. I had a very nice conversation with ICE the night before a game about four years ago. My daughter was with me. The three of us had dinner. Monday, I get an apologetic PM from ICE about a thread or a post he put up on the Wall that was deleted, in which very inappropriate things were said about my daughter - her fault for being 20 years old and pretty I guess. I am happy the thread was removed before I saw it (and especially before my daughter saw it). Free speech is for people with free minds; the uncivilized do not have a RIGHT to be heard. When you accept the terms and conditions of participating in a forum, and repeatedly ignore warnings after breaking the rules, why would you cry "free speech" when you are kicked off? Hell, I am not even a moderator - a thankless frigging job!

If you mean Mark VI, I believe he is doing well. He may be lurking under another name but I do not know that to be fact.

Um, how much principal is in rent? If you are looking at a house only as an investment, I suppose this is true. Living in your own place vs renting can be a matter of lifestle choice too. Sometimes all that matters is the monthly payment and neighborhood, especially if you are young. Back in 1999, I took a *slight* loss to move seven houses down the street. Huge lot and an in-ground pool. We also made a deal with the seller - no realtors. Of course we DID have our own lawyer! first house - 7 years - broke even (rural - major capital improvements) second house - 4 years - made $16K (city house) third house - 14 years - lost a little (burbs - major capital improvements - house was paid for) Most of the capital improvement was "sweat equity".

I agree that the border cities and Mexico City are probably very risky places to go. I had no problem getting on local Mexican buses and traveling unescorted an hour or more away from Puerto Vallarta, and never felt threatened. I was warned by MEXICANS to avoid TJ and Mexico City.

Check a box for how much you want to donate (dollar amounts) , or fill in the box "enter an amount". Leave the monthly amount blank. Recognition name is plenzmd1 - it will scroll with the other names. I recommend you "uncheck" the box to show how much you donate. Enter a "message" if you want. Then the next page wants financial (credit card) data. If you prefer - send me a PM and I will send you my address. You can mail me a check made out to the charity. I will send it to them. Thanks......

I think you will be extremely pleased.

We got tickets to a game in August, just to go to Yankee Stadium one last time. Tried to buy them from the Yankees web site the day they went on sale, but either the site was crashed or there were no seats! We ended up getting six tickets on StubHub (four and two) very close to each other. $21 tickets for $55 to $60 each.

Everything went very well, thanks! I am waiting for some pictures I can post. There were thirteen of us all together, and the final total was $2,072 raised! Had THREE generations of "rockpiles" with me! I am going to do one final thread with "prize" winners and some photos, but it may take until the latter part of the week. Here is some info from my "blog" King Harvest Has Surely Come Thanks again to all. Grandpa Rock

So, I take it you were not kidnapped robbed or raped (physically anyway)? I have been to Puerto Vallarta four times since 9/11, and never had a problem except with ignorant tourists. I am not saying I would walk alone in downtown Mexico City at 2:00 AM, but I would not do that in downtown Rochester, NY either. I am going next February, relatively near to Cazumel (but on the mainland of Yucatan) near Playa del Carmen this time!
