  1. First and favorite was Cat's Cradle because it got me thinking about things from a different angle. I also liked Slaughterhouse Five (the Children's Crusade) and the book by a character he created - Kilgor Trout - Venus on the Half Shell. I picture him now finally getting the chance to ask God the age-old question - "Why?". Tralfamodrians Unite!
  2. I am adding to the prize list and doing TWO LOTTERIES Saturday (since Easter and the new job distracted me!). Thanks to all!!
  3. Got any leftovers - I'll be there in a few hours!
  4. Yes, we are at $1,265 ! Lottery results later today !
  5. Ham, lasagna, sweet potatoes, green bean/french fried onion casserole, veggies and dip. Should be five generations here today. enjoy!
  6. D.W. can you PM or e-mail me? thanks! Rock
  7. I had a breaded haddock plate today. I was joking with our favorite waitress about Good Friday and meat (at 11:45 it was EMPTY) and she said the fish was really good. She was right.
  8. If he is fast AND strong, he should be as good or better at pass rushing. What I would like to see him perfect is the "Bruce" inside spin. That redirects the momentum of those big OL or TEs away from where he wants to go. The result is a tackle or plugged hole. His biggest weakness that a good OL and QB could counter, was directing his rush speed deep to run around his blocker on the outside, allowing the QB to step up into the pocket. This effectively took him out of the play (especially shovel pass or draw). I am a BIG Schobel fan, and hope to see another banner year!
  9. woo-hoo!

  19. You just made my day!
  20. I will be on the payroll of a third party recruiter for the first 6-8 months. After that, I will either extend the contract, or negotiate a full time job with the corporation I am actually working for. Their intent and need is for a full timer or three, but it is a smart business move to hire by contract. If I do not renew the contract, I will go back on unemployment for as brief a time as I can. I will be eligible for the balance of my first 26 weeks I did not use if that happens. Heck, I may not like them and let and tell them not to bother giving me an offer! Life is about change. I will worry about that when I have to. Since 1973, I have been on the dole a total maybe eight weeks. I can support myself.
  21. Take the big job, get back on your financial feet and move on. Whose thread should you have infested? It was a good question.
  22. My wife works in a nursing home and says it is even worse when a 21 year old becomes an *80 year old! I have one I got about a decade ago, placed on my arm, above the length of a short sleeve shirt. Got my ear pierced too. I do not mind the tatoo, but I look at it now and ask myself "why". I stopped wearing the earring when I started interviewing for jobs in January. Personally, if it is tasteful, I am fine with good ink!
  23. Thanks and Happy Anniversary, Harriett!
  24. I hope you don't get any warts.
