McKelvin and/or Byrd going to play this week?
White Linen replied to dascottbills28's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd say that's a pretty major contradiction. I doubt he's going to get big money, then play. -
Then we can sign Mr. Deeds. We need people with stronger feet.

I think it's the second song title to the guys that sang BOOTY on America's Got Talent.

Not sure, but I hope they bring in a LG that can play Safety and CB.

Huh? Have you not seen him involved in almost every special teams tackle? -
I was just thinking that I would love him to be on our team.

Hacketts scheme is a major issue!

From this question and answer from BB.com I don't get the distinct feeling things are going to get better. Q: So no play calling has been altered to protect him? A: No. When you use the word altered, if you’re using it from the standpoint of if we as coaches consciously said, ‘Hey we’re not doing this or not doing this because A, B or C,’ then the answer is no. If you’re thinking about it from the standpoint of alter as saying, ‘Hey what are you comfortable with, what do you like?’ then that’s the stuff we’re putting in. ‘Hey what don’t you feel as comfortable with?’ Then we’ll take that stuff out. That happens week to week with every quarterback, not just the young quarterback. That’s what we’re doing on offense. -
Well he can't be Kenny Powers for Halloween.

Tell me more about drafting CBs...
White Linen replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess I'm going to question what can't be questioned. I don't believe that not drafting a 5th round CB for depth is "coming back and biting this team big-time". I'm not sure this rookie depth CB would have been the difference. -
Look deeper. If you think all Mosaic laws were abolished and are to be ignored you're a lazy Christian. Put some work in. Jesus is the bible, so his existence is the bible. If you choose to ignore the entire Old Testament you choose to ignore a portion of him.

Not really, but I'd change the word ridiculous in your sentence to challenging. It's not easy being a Christian trying to figure out all that God would have us do. It can be frustrating and difficult, but usually the answers come often later than sooner. The alternative is relying on my own mind and thoughts for my compass through life. Heck I can't even remember someone's name I just met. I'm certainly not going through life thinking the collection of my experiences and thoughts make me right. I'm way to imperfect to rely on myself in that regard.

Great fan video of Carolina ending

Good point. You are a gentleman and a scholar. I'd add that some acts of selflessness occur regardless of the intent. -
Thank you for hearing me out in a fair way.

Often times the bible doesn't address a specific matter by definition and that's when I personally find the bible the most interesting. Sometimes you have to understand what it says not to do to get to what you can do. Leviticus 19:28 says "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you; I am the Lord. Just like any debate about the bible there's context that has to be considered as this was a pagan issue and some would say some of those pagan rituals were later addressed in a different way. So basically you have to work out what the bible means between you and God and no one else. That's why for me the bible becomes more than a book for everyone to a book for me personally. I try not to question what other people's intents are or matters of their heart. Should someone get a tattoo? I don't know for sure. But I'd encourage someone to ask themselves if their doing it to for God or to draw attention to themselves.

Total act of selflessness taking that video so other people could enjoy it that weren't there. -
I totally understand what you're saying. I'm not one of those Christians that hate on people for doing things that I don't believe in, so I'd like to start with that statement. But if you're a Catholic and you believe in the bible it doesn't really matter what you think as an individual you're supposed to try your best to please God with your life. On the surface it sounds nice to pay tribute to your family with a tattoo but if God says it's wrong then your wrong for doing it. Again this only applies to those that believe in the Bible. I don't think it's some kind of horrible thing that causes you to go to hell or anything crazy like that but in the matter of right or wrong, it's wrong according to God. I don't think my sister having a tattoo of my grandmothers name is actually doing anything to edify my grandmother, she's dead. I think my sister had real good intentions, but in reality she did it for herself. "I miss my Grandmother and I want everyone to see that on my arm". My grandmother left her legacy based on her actions while living, no tattoo is going to add to that.

I grew up in a Christian household and my parents always frowned on tattoos. I thought about getting one a few times throughout my life and I guess I've always decided not to out of respect to my parents. I do believe the strict translation of the Bible shows it's obviously something God doesn't want you to do. I'm not saying everyone has to believe that, but it's just a Christians perspective. In saying that I don't think it's the worst thing in the world but my sister got one of our grandmothers name on her forearm. I just think it was a bad decision because it looks to me ridiculous and I think at some point it will either limit certain things in her life. For example what kind of guy she will attract or not attract for that matter. I think it's something that can only bring negative attraction and almost never exclusively positive. I've never said to myself that person would look better with tattoos. Just my take.
