  1. No way. I couldn't handle another weak armed QB.
  2. The brought in John Beck and Matt Leinart and of course eventually signed Leinart. How do you think Leinart looked? By then they felt very good about Manual making it back. They felt good about being able to develop Tuel into a better option than any veteran available. I just don't see how you can get all over them about this.
  3. As apposed to that much accomplished NFL QB we should sign? Who would that be?
  4. So you want to make the same mistake Sand Diego did?
  5. Signs aren't good enough in my opinion. He's a starter and doesn't play like one. I just don't see him doing enough good to compensate for the drops, terrible routes, lack of toughness, and pockets of time where he's invisible. I believe he'd already be out of the lineup if Goodwin was healthy.
  6. Maybe you should evaluate the use of their.
  7. This argument is so crazy. Yeah Wilson said don't spend money on players while he's trying to stay alive. C'mon man. We have injuries crippling this team and a terrible performance by the special teams. If our QB stays in the game we have an excellent chance to win. Yet somehow you think a LG, backup QB, and a piece of crap safety would make us 4-1? Weak!
  8. Special teams was awful. Coverage was bad and we have no return men. Leonhard keeps fair catching balls that need to be returned. Powell is worse than awful. Easley and Carpenter have been stellar but it's not enough to overcome how terrible this unit is as a hole.
  9. Only took Hackett 5 games to figure out the screen kills the pass rush. Hackett has given us every chance to lose this game.
  10. Or you could stop saying it because it's not true, your choice.
  11. There's a lot of guys to mention which is a great problem. I'll throw Dareus and Leonard in the hat with all the others already mentioned.
  12. We may lose the game if he doesn't catch T. Smith.
  13. I'd be surprised if they could get a 5th round pick for Byrd right now. A team has to pay him top 5 safety money, worry about his injury, and wouldn't be assured he'd sign a long term deal with them even if they wanted him to. I'd argue the Bills should hold him out of games as long as possible until he's healthy enough to showcase him for a trade.
  14. He's not getting paid?
  15. It's game 4 of the development of EJ Manuel. I'm not watching with the intent of convincing myself the franchise is turning around. I'm watching with the understanding it's a process our talented rookie QB has to go through. As even Flacco said it's experience you can't duplicate in practice. I am hoping that Marone and Hackett foster this growth and don't become another thing that Manuel has to overcome.
  16. I agree I don't think all physically gifted QB's fail because of not working hard. I think some fail because of work ethic - and some fail because the situation they're in is too hard to overcome such as bad coaching and not enough good players around them - and some fail because they're just not physically gifted enough. There's probably a very decent percentage of failures that come from those. But to me all real good and certainly the great QB's have the elite mental ability to translate the classroom to the field.
  17. It's not game day because you're not watching?
  18. I thought new threads weren't allowed during the game?
  19. I haven't seen too much bust worthy. I think it's more he'll either be an all-pro or just a good QB.
  20. It just doesn't matter as much if they don't make first downs. Clearly going 3 and out kills your defense but you're dismissing all the other opportunities for rest. What about 2 first downs and then a punt? That could be anywhere from say 2-4.5 minutes. Ask anyone who's ever boxed, wrestled, or played on the line in football, that kind of rest can be crucial. We're not ready to run plays that fast. In theory it sounds simply wonderful with the problems we have on offense it sounds stubborn.
  21. What two CB's do you wish they would have signed this week to start this Sunday so the coaches don't have to count on a rebound game from our current players? How anyone seriously think this is a viable option is beyond me.
  22. You can't be serious in thinking anyone really wanted a FB convert to Guard. So the basis of your argument of rather having a TE convert to guard is almost as absurd as not getting the joke in the first sentence.
  23. You're too hard on yourself. There's more than one right answer.
