IMO they are making a mistake signing Gillislee. They have a significant amount of money tied up at the RB position and they're all extremely small. None of them can do what Blount did for them last year and they're going to miss him. Blount would come for 2 years and 5-5.75 million. We would play them and take their 5th round pick.
McGahee was 14 years ago which proves my point
Maybin wasn't a cute pick and was 8 years ago
Parrish maybe
Spiller yes
So one maybe and one yes in 20 years or so - yeah that definitely proves we have a history of taking "cute" picks. Care to try again?
I think NE made a mistake here. If they move on from Blount and go with some combination of Gillislee, Lewis, White and Burkhead - their running game got downgraded significantly IMO.
The power Blount brought and his 18 TD's will be missed.
To this team he's already worth the 5th year option money. I think this has to be about whether that foot is a real long term concern.
April 20th is veteran camp and after they're satisfied the foot is good - they will pick up the 5th year.
If the culture is built correctly a team can bring on guys that just need to be brought up to reach their full potential. I still believe that's possible.
Trying to figure out what a 21-22 year old is going to grow to be like is difficult. Mix in a kid that's likely been treated like "the man" since being young, he's been coached into creating a perception of himself and then give him money - now you've got an even more difficult thing to try and figure out.
Not an easy thing to do and is the reason that they spend soooo much time looking into these guys. Do you think they don't spend massive amounts of time looking into the character of these potential draftees?
Something that also stood out to me is he wasn't timid. What I like about him is he will show you what he's got good or bad. When he's in the game he acts like he's ready.
Pegula mismanaged drafts in 1999? You really need to get your head out of the sand.
You think drafting Jack Eichel was mismanagement? If you do - then you really need to get away from Buffalo sports, somehow. Help yourself!
I enjoyed the thought behind each of your picks. I don't think anyone could argue that CB is likely to be a top priority but I think they'd take a serious look at Foster if he's there.
Don't be so small minded with your broad stroke. Bigger issues always exist but doesn't mean smaller ones aren't worthy of time.
Just because it frustrates me and I'll spend time/money to fix 1 of the 3 toilets in our house - doesn't mean I can't understand there's hungry people in the City I live in.
I do think it's a bit more complicated than I was assaulted so I shot in terms of whether that's justified by law. I do agree that it shouldn't matter if it's a male or female but I do think their stature also needs to be the same i.e. is it reasonable to believe a 100 lb female vs a 225 lb male could justify the same amount of self defense chosen.
I briefly met Chad on the field when he was with Clemson. It was memorably negative experience as he was a rude punk. FF to today and it appears he hasn't changed much. I see no chance this jerk becomes the leader of an NFL football team. My guess is the lengthy research NFL teams do will lead them to glaringly red flags.
Even after everything that has happened when asked what he would tell NFL teams in the interview process he said "I have it all. I play with a different swag they've never seen before". He is truly a moron.
