  1. The JAX situation is no more different than the Bills....plus they absolutely don't have a fan base....empty seats covered up....potential to move to LA.... Mularkey left because he did not want to start Losman as his QB....That was going to be a lame duck status as a coach... I actually liked Mularkey as a HC. His blunder was in having very weak OC and DC. Tom Clements as the OC was just horrible... If he had a decent DC instead of the junk in Jerry Gray, he would have had a chance... In spite of all that, Mularkey is the only HC to have had a winning season for the Bills in the last 12 years!
  2. Carson Palmer was not the issue. CP will be ok when he gets an Off season under his belt. In fact he performed much better than Fitz in the same number of games. The problem was that the Raiders were just a very ill-disciplined bunch...They had the highest number of penalties...that explains the lack of focus starting from the HC...And no one could control the temper of Seymour.
  3. Even a Blind Squirrel can find a nut once in a while
  4. The key is that they had a chance to pick the Franchise QB in Matt Ryan and go after Turner in the FA market. The rest was good drafting and FA. Kudos to them for building both the teams On and Off the field. They also signed Michael Turner to a FA contract.
  5. They can be patient because they have Marivn Lewis as their HC and he is a pretty good coach..Not like the stiffs we have had around One Bills Drive.
  6. Promo, I am not sure what the Bills could have done in this situation unless Whaley is promoted to GM of this organization. Is Buddy Ready to step down and promote Whaley from inside. And if Whaley does become the GM, does he have a say in who his HC will be...May be Gailey is not his guy.
  7. I just can't see this team paying FA price for two #1 WRs....when they have so many other holes on the team
  8. And Washington too..
  9. I disagree. The defense on this team was way too inconsistent for the offense to have overcome...The season went down the toilet, when Williams, Wood and Freddie went on IR and Chan just could not trust CJ. And he is also the 1st QB since Kelly to post back-to-back 3000 yard seasons.....Fitz is kind of guy that needs to be surrounded with talent and he can win. He is not a vocal leader and cannot win games by his own will (Like a Ben). In many ways, he is more like a Brady who needed all that talent on the OL and WR corps to win consistently.
  10. The Bills probably have concluded that with the talent they have in Williams and Dareus, they are better of running a traditional 4-3. May be Wannestedt runs a 4-3 rather than a 3-4.....Now the issue is to go and find two starting DEs and depth on the line. Kellen Heard has done himself good for the depth part...Now can they find two good DEs, one in the draft and another in FA? That will also reduce the impact on needing pass rushing OLBs.
  11. Disappointed: 1. The Bills did not make the playoffs for a 12th straight season. Nothing beats that. 2. Disappointed with the horrible coaching on the Defense. 3. Disappointed that David Nelson did not blossom into a true 2nd or 3rd WR (especially after a great finish last year and a hot start this year). 4. Disappointed that Dareus was not a game changer as it was predicted....Dareus has been OK, but not a monster like a Suh. 5. Disappointed that the 2010 Draft class could not get on the field except for Spiller. 6. Disappointed that the Bills won ONE game after starting 5-2....2-10 in the last 12 is horrible.... 7. Disappointed that Wood had a season ending injury again 8. Disappointed that the ST was very average under DeHaven...May it is time for him to hang up.
  12. Your original was "If 6-10 his fault?". A QB gets the accolades when the team wins and takes the criticisms when his team loses. As the other poster mentioned, when you throw 23 INTs (whether the WRs were at fault or not), you are going to take some of that blame...Also as a leader, somehow that spark is missing of leading this team...He is too quiet to be a leader...How else can you explain a Stevie Johnson repeatedly costing the team games and yet Fitz is yet to say a word against Stevie...
  13. Donte Whitner Lee Evans Marshawn Lynch (Would be his 2nd year, since the Seahawks made it last year) Jonathan Scott (2nd year) Others....
  14. We get to play two weak divisions in AFC South and NFC West....
  15. Or run the Wild Cat...It got 4-5 yards every time they ran it at the beginning of the season. Not to forget the absence of Wood in the middle of that OL....Wood was getting consistent push up front....something that allowed Jackson to thrive in the Red zone. And did not have the players to execute it...once Wood, Jackson were gone.
  16. The Bills have to sign Freddie at least for the reason that he doesn't join the Patriots....Belichek will immediately swoop him, if he were ever to become a FA and Freddie will be great in that offense.
  17. I think they should drop the 3-4 (since anyways they play more of 4-3) and have Williams and Dareus be DTs...Then have Kelsay be a DE and stop pretending that he can be a pass rushing OLB....Then draft a blue chip DE for pass rushing...Backup will be Kyle Arrington. And then finally make Wannstedt the DC to run the traditional 4-3.....We have to STOP THE RUN.....This team has no chance if they cannot stop the Run and also not run the ball. It has a game manager @ the QB, not a Drew Brees or Tom Brady
  18. No Thanks. We desperately need a pass rush...A DE or Pass Rushing OLB....We were fine with our WRs at the beginning of the season, especially if Wood and Jackson come back from their injuries..It will open the passing game again.
  19. That is not going to happen. Firstly, Wood was pretty dominant and having him @ center gave Fitz the extra second to throw the ball or provide the holes for Freddy to run. In fact with Wood gone, our season went down the toilet. Wood will be a top FA if the Bills do not re-sign him. He is not going to take a incentive laden contract.
  20. Good Analysis...KC over Denver and Baltimore over Cincy is possible. Rest appears a little more tougher....A #9 pick again?
  21. Add also Fred jackson, Scott Chandler, Eric Wood, Bell, McKelvin to that list.
  22. Him and Stevie DROP too many balls....Shows a lack of concentration...especially at big moments in the game...If you can get a coaching staff to correct that, then yes.
  23. Dave took the Bears and the Dolphins to playoff berths...If you call that "Sucking", I am not sure what you would call with our HCs in the last 12 years.
  24. The biggest FA that they would need to sign is Stevie Johnson. After that they need a OLB and another WR.
