  1. Fitz was uncoachable and had reached his limit. His % of inconsistency was not going to change. EJ is just beginning his career and has good scope for improvement under the right guidance. Fitz was done, EJ has the potential to become a consistent thrower. That is the difference.
  2. It would be important to know how much of those yards came in garbage time, when Fitz was padding up his stats! +1. When Wood went out of the line up, Fitz faced lots of pressure from the middle of the line....Wood is a game changer like Hull.
  3. My only comment to your fair assessment is that a majority of the players coming to NFL or NBA are not those that are playing the weekend leisure games over your neighborhood ballpark (with the parents and aunts and uncles). The incoming players are predominantly from the inner-cities and/or labor/plantation-towns. The NFL or NBA is their lifeline. These are not the kids hanging around with their xbox and ipods.
  4. I think Legursky will be the starting LG on Day one of the season. Don't be surprised if Aaron Williams returns back to CB. Dickerson may be the H-Back instead of a true Full back. That allows them to retain the three TEs.
  5. May be he did not want the Bills to pick him up. Unfortunately he did not have much control like a Eli Manning.
  6. I don't think the Bills fans ever fell in love with TJ....It is one of the most bizarre moves made by Chan and Nix, especially that allowed them to keep Tyler Thigpen as the backup. They simply made a complicated decision in which TJ actually will not throw a single pass in the regular season in a Bills Unfiorm. Disagree. May be Tuel showed enough to this coaching staff during OTA/Mini-camp that they felt comfortable being the 3rd string QB. May be they feel Tuel can play the game if the other two get injured.
  7. I don't think Kraft deserves credit for picking a HOF QB in the 6th Round. However, it is what he has done in the decade since winning the lottery that deserves the credit. He has astutely managed the Salary cap, including not being pushed to make Brady the highest paid QB in the league. Along with Belichek they have made decisions (some of them cold) that are best for the team. The Patriots are the hottest ticket in town and for that Kraft deserves praise for having turned that franchise around.
  8. A majority of the NFL players play the game because that is their lifeline. If there is no NFL they are stuck in the back-streets of cities neighborhoods doing illegal stuff and even get killed. I just simply don't see the NFL going away as long as it is an avenue for a lfie-changing event for these players. And may be even once win the big one!
  9. Because that defense couldn't close out games. Also, Bledsoe's game tapered off after the 1st half of the season and was pedestrian in the 2nd half. Special teams was pretty horrible, giving up 2 TDs in the season opener. Also, if you notice, this is the only time, the Bills came close in W/L record with rest of the AFC East...3 teams finished 9-7 with the Jets winning the division and the Bills finished 8-8 and in last place!!!
  10. Actually Jason Peters whiffed on that play and allowed the Jets Pass Rusher to get around him. Of course, Losman did not feel the pressure and also did not protect the ball. One of the *WORST* plays in Bills history.
  11. Are another one of NFLs great ideas to keep the league and its actions a mystery and generate more intrigue. Who knows, in a few decades, we could see the NFL hosting a compensatory-pick-day at Radio City Hall where they would announce who gets what pick and have a big panel of ESPN, NFL Network trying to predict what compensation the next team will achieve and then predicting what player the team would draft in the upcoming draft with that pick and then comparing that player against the lost player(s).......
  12. The common thread between the two. They are very often injured!
  13. You mean that Underperforming Unit made of a bunch of 300+ lb jokers!
  14. A thread about a comment made by a Punter has 11,000 views and going strong for a month....What a monster I have created !!!! Die! Die! Die!
  15. People need to stop re-hashing this. Peters has gone to 3 straight pro-bowls with the Eagles (plus the two with the Bills) and has been voted to the All-Pro team. Peters has done full justice to the contract the Eagles gave him. We got a first round pick in Woods for him. Let us move on.
  16. Which is ok. Kelly comes from a pretty successful Oregon program and Trestman won the cup across the Falls and has built some good/great offense in the NFL in the past.
  17. I don't think the Bills did anything wrong with the Byrd or Levitre scenario. In their last year of contract, both players clearly stated that they wanted to test Free Agency. One got his wish and the other was tagged.
  18. If I remember, he was also the backup Center and Snapper for the FGs.
  19. But..But...But...he only had only ONE INT in his rookie campaign !!!!!
  20. Still no peep from Byrd about wanting a long term deal with the Bills.
  21. QBs always will get a little more, especially since this is guaranteed money.
  22. Actually there is no solid proof as to what Byrd really wants to do. I don't believe there is any report to suggest that Byrd wants to leave the Bills for some other team or vice versa. IMHO, Byrd is simply looking for the best deal for him and his family.
