  1. +1...Awesome imagination. May be you should go work for Google!
  2. There is a business side to all this. You have to do what is the right thing and Byrd did just that. Byrd is a team player and will be ready for week 1 against the Pats!
  3. I think this was in Losman's 1st year, when we beat Houston and then there was the game against the Titans. If we win that, then we would have been closer to the playoffs. Of course Travis Henry ran roughshod over us at the Ralph to end that dream. The 2nd would have been the year we started 5-1 with Trent Edwards before the crash. I think we were still in contention with 2-3 games to go.
  4. Also don't forget that he had a couple of years with the Seahawks before signing a FA deal with the Bills.
  5. I was there at Fedex Field, when Lindell kicked the game winning FG to enjoy a come from behind victory. It was the famous call-timeout to ice the kicker!. Great guy
  6. I have heard of the "sic" first move!!!
  7. No we were not. Through the camp, I did not hear a single praise about Meeks or the other rookie. Searcy's name was on print for all the wrong reasons. The only bright spot from the backfield was the play of Gilmore and Williams. Considering the weakness in the 2nd CB position I cannot wait for Byrd to get back on the field.
  8. Early in their careers, both Brady and Rothelisberger were game managers making the short throws necessary to get the first downs and let their defense and special teams do the talking. We don't need EJ ot throw the ball like Cam Newton did. The key is for EJ to not make any critical mental mistakes and throw away winnable games.
  9. Because Kelly does not work for the Bills!
  10. +1 and we should treat him like one, though EJ seems to mature far beyond his years that we often are not used to with rookies in the NFL.
  11. Byrd's contract is guaranteed only if he is on the roster on day 1 of the season (I believe), unless the Bills and Byrd renegotiate the terms of the ONE year contract (the # of years cannot be changed). I believe the biggest issue would be that Parker will want in writing from the Bills that they will not tag him again next year. That is what will delay this signing as that is the only bargaining power for Parker. If Hughes can be half as fearsome as Greg Lloyd in his hay days, this trade will be a deal-buster for the Bills!
  12. Just curious...Can you post a few points as to why you think that way? Any specific plays in mind? BTW this is a honest question and not sarcastic.
  13. +1. Who cares who is coaching the rest of the 31 teams. Marrone and his staff is giving us a small hope, a ray of sunshine peeping through those dark clouds of the past decade...Let us hope he brings sunshine to this downtrodden franchise for a change!!!! Go Bills!
  14. Can't wait to have Byrd back in the line up!!!
  15. And make sure there are no rubber mats on the way to work!
  16. The browns will be a good team, because they have two extremely talented and experienced Coordinators running their program. Norv knows how to get produciton out of Trent Richardson and keep his QB upright. Horton can call a red-hot 3-4 defense.
  17. May be the Colts communication guy pulled the plug.
  18. If owner says something, then he is a meddling owner....and if he doesn't, then he is not committed to the team...Boy...there is no middle ground here.
  19. Also, Bruce Arians was his HC/OC. Arian had already developed successfully a Superbowl QB and knew how to bring Luck along. Give our coaching staff a chance.
  20. The coaching staff have repeatedly said that they will put their *BEST* 11 players on the field. If the 11 happens to be all rookies/sophomores then that is what the coaches will play.
  21. The Networks would be far more enamored with Geno Smith with the Jets playing on National TV rather than Manuel and the Bills.
  22. The Bills extended Fitzpatrick prematurely (amid a 4-1 start) that backfired on them really badly. I think bad teams tend to overpay for marginal talent in the name of re-signing their own picks (See Kelsay for over a decade). I think Nix and Whaley have made a decision to wait till the player really succeeds. It costs them more, but at least it gives a good feel that he is a blue-chip player. Levitre was a good LG, but was not a blue chip player. Byrd is a blue chip player and deserves to be paid like a super star. The Bills will pay him eventually, unless Byrd doesn't want to be here.
