  1. Assessing rookies and planning for next year when you're still sitting in a wildcard spot is "clear" and "professional"?
  2. There may be an even stronger correlation or "co-ralationamaship" as you so eloquently put, between Petermania and Rob Johnson fans. How the f@#$ are there real RJ fans in 2017?!?!?!
  3. Which are all valid. Those excuses, if necessary, will also be the arguments against McD's decision making. Why start a rookie QB with few reps and no experience when you're 5-4 and still looking at a chance for post season play.
  4. I got winded and ran out of steam toward the end. Its hard work recounting all the guys who have played under center for us.
  5. Everybody is excited by something new until the point where they aren't because new is shittier than the same old crap. Losman was shiny and new stepping in for Bledsoe who was a statute in the backfield. JP had wheels and a big arm! Then Trentative was a revelation after watching Losman's feast or famine offense fail to sustain drives. Slow and steady Trent was great until defenses figured out he couldn't see more than 6 yards beyond scrimmage. Then gunslinger Fitz was the brand new thing. Fitzy was so refreshing after Trentative but his style of play turned the ball over way too much. Then EJ was the anointed one, leading comebacks and winning those 4 games until he was a total bum. Then Tyrod arrived with no fanfare or expectations, won the starting job, and delivered some of the best QB play we've seen since Kelly retired until he too became tied for the worst QB to ever play football. What makes anyone think new and different will be better?
  6. I miss Kromer as well. I wonder what happened to him? I know I could google it and find the answer in seconds but I prefer to envision him living a new life in out there on the fringe of society. A man who has been pushed too far. A man trying to find meaning in a world without law or decency whose singular purpose is protecting the one thing he has left and laying waste to anyone or anything who comes between him and his beach chairs. That's the Kromer I want to remember.
  7. That faint but distinct sound when your cellmate thinks you're asleep and starts whacking it and you just know he's going to deny it if you call him on it and he's just going to start again the minute he thinks you're asleep. I think we can all agree that sound is one the worst.
  8. That is correct.
  9. With Thanksgiving coming up, I'm thinking about doing this: http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2013/11/turkey-porchetta-food-lab-recipe.html
  10. For all intents and purposes, yes it did, but I think you should go back and read it again.
  11. McD and Beane could cut Walter Payton in his prime and ship Tom Brady out for some baseball cards and I would be reading all about how these guys obviously suck.
  12. He was a tweener safety that played LB in some packages. New England went no huddle to keep our personnel on the field and ran it straight at Scott play after play. 43 is the Mike, 43 is the Mike.
  13. Gruden has been very outspoken about Peterman. Here's another such article from the Boston Globe. http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/patriots/the_blitz/2016/12/jon_gruden_tom_brady_is_the_best_quarterback_i_think_thats_ever He doesn't exactly mention Peterman by name but I think we can definitely rule out the possibility that he means Tyrod. You do the math.
  14. I find them to be a bit gristly and rather gamey. What kind of seasoning do you use?
  15. I would advise you to begin drinking heavily. I'm pre-med, err pre-law. Same thing.
  16. I think you're right. I think these plucky young upstarts have a 500 rushing yards allowed game in 'em yet. They're starting to gel at the right time and just scratching the surface on how terrible they can be.
  17. Let's not get too carried away here. Coming off a debacle of a game like Sunday, its only natural to over analyze and miss the forest for the trees. There is no mutiny, no conspiracy here, and no quitting. The defense just missed their gaps. We gotta fit it up. That's all. Just go out there and fit it up. Play smart, play disciplined and fit up all way up in those gaps. Those gaping running holes opening up on our defensive line, well the LBs and safeties have got to see those openings and get up in it and fit it in the upward direction. Not down, not left, fit it up. Its the fit up, stupid. You gotta get way up in there in all those nooks and crannies and fit it up and in. Just fit it until you reach the back of its teeth. Squat and cough cause we're gonna fit it up in ya good. Somebody better get Bryan Scott on the phone before somebody gets stabbed.
  18. So you're saying we would make the playoffs if Peterman had started since week 1? Well you're implying it! Ok, you implied nothing of the sort but... here's a an overly simplistic argument that is completely unrelated to the previous exchange!!! Check and mate. Damn I'm good.
  19. Add that to the list of concepts that escape you. I didn't even mention Taylor's name or reference his performance. Tyrod's miserable performance has no bearing on my opinion that you shouldn't attempt to extrapolate meaningful information about Peterman's play from a ridiculous sample set against a prevent defense. Try again.
  20. I've lost all confidence in this defense. I expected Tyrod to be maddeningly inconsistent although I thought his floor was higher than we saw yesterday. This season rested squarely on the defense playing like a top 5 unit. The Chargers might not attempt a pass and still beat us by 2 or 3 scores.
  21. Did I f@#$ing say they were, straw boy? If you and the rest of the genius squad want to anoint another long shot based on a Jordan Palmer-esque sample size just so you can tear him down later, then go ahead, but don't twist my words to further your agenda.
  22. Its easier to force turnovers when you can stop the run. Weeks 1 through 7, Bills D was giving up an average of 80 yards rushing per game. Median was 70 yards. The last two weeks 200 and 300 yards on the ground. Forcing the opponent to pass is a much better way to get turnovers than allowing them to rush at will.
  23. It doesn't change the facts. He took what the D was giving him and looked competent in the process. Since the D isn't going to give him those looks all game every game, I think it would be a mistake to read into his performance any further.
  24. Apparently they were worn down and demoralized from the opening kick off.
  25. Every DB was playing 10-15 yards back of scrimmage. Given the situation, Peterman's performance should be taken with a shaker of salt. If Tyrod's play doesn't improve we will see Peterman in real game action soon enough.
