Brandon Beane "might be the most sensitive GM in the entire NFL"?

In my opinion, walking away from a proven market in a league which has had a rocky road to 32 teams would be an incredible mistake. A few years ago the Florida Panthers were at serious risk of a relocation. Seems like ancient history 2 cup wins later. A few franchises remain on shaky ground and several others are far too early into their relocations/expansions to call successes at this point.

NYC Bills Backers moved on from McFadden's a few years ago. Penn 6 is the current Bills Backers bar in Manhattan I believe. -

Just once, ONCE, it would be refreshing to see an insincere thank you thread. One dripping with sarcasm and spite. Is that too much to ask?

Fair enough. I like JJ but his contract was one that I was scared of. I love his speed, he has a nice shot, but I don't think his game is well rounded enough to commit to him long term for that kind of money. Norris was a trade. We are paying Norris "too much" because we gave a bad contract to Cozens.

Pegula Divests from Knight Hawks after pulling out of Rochester Lease

50% of the NHL makes the playoffs every year. -
After the Whistle reported today that hes not demanding a trade. He wants first line minutes and to be on PP #1 and he doesnt want to be just another guy on a new team. Sounds like hes sticking around but he's pissed that the team is a dumpster fire and he is a lot more outspoken than the quiet kid we drafted. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/seneca-side-note-vol-66-too-much-talking/id1590573108?i=1000714295627

Sabres are tied with the Jets for longest active playoff drought. Sabres playoff drought is the longest in NHL history. The Browns have been to the post season twice in the past 5 years. -

And Terry is on record saying he would not give McBeane as much power as he did if he had the decision again today. Which is terrifying. -

This is a hockey board. A conference finals, playoffs, and a championship means nothing when ARE Sabres remain the laughing stock of North American professional sports. -
We are 8 days away from crushing some kids dream of playing in the Cup finals.

UPDATE: ISRAEL v IRAN - Ceasefire reached?
Jauronimo replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Of course there more outlets around the globe but Americans were primarily getting their news from Brokaw, Rather, Jennings, and their local paper. Unless you were trading copies of the Turner Diaries with the local militia, you were unlikely to come across the kind of "news" our pals in PPP trade in. -

I don't know if I have a single post in that rats nest. You have 800 posts in that thread because you are a raving lunatic with a crappy memory. -

I think the worst part is that our reality is shaped based on where we fall in the political spectrum. 30 years ago there were like 5 outlets for news and they were all basically the same. We could largely agree on some basic "facts" or "truths" even when they were wrong. Now we have algorithm dictated infotainment delivering a 24/7 feed of confirmation bias. Whatever you engage with the longest is the truth. Whether its deep fakes, rage bait, conspiracy theories, outright fabrications, mainstream fluff, it doesn't matter. Whatever keeps your eyeballs on the screen the longest determines what "news" you get and therefor your reality. If the news tells you the earth is round and that doesn't tickle your fancy, keep scrolling and you'll have no problem finding a community of flat earthers that will take you in. You are never alone no matter how far off the reservation you have wandered. Every viewpoint is now equal. All "facts" are equal. Very few people question their feed when its reinforcing their world view. Its increasingly difficult to find common ground and I don't see that getting better. Our political discourse is increasingly shaped by the raging debate between the lunatic fringes on either side. And now they have their own social media platforms. Which echo chamber do you prefer: every piece of art made in the past 1,000 years is a misogynistic, racist, transphobic microgression giving bad vibes OR 10 million Guatemalans have attacked the Lincoln Memorial and are eating dogs? Here's my conspiracy theory: Social media is the greatest psy op in recorded history. Soviet level cynicism incoming. -

They can point their nukes wherever they like, assuming they have one for this hypothetical. Just like Nathan Peterman could line up to throw the deep out route. Getting the package to the intended target is a completely different matter. An Iranian nuke pointed at the United States might hit Santorini? It sure as hell isn't landing anywhere close to an American territory. They have a long way to go with missile tech by all reports. The racists certainly do.
