An absolute disaster by the coaches at the end of this game
Jauronimo replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
I simply cannot muster the energy to give a ***** about end of game clock management in a game where our defense allowed 45 points. -
I relent. There is nothing different or improved about this team. Same old Sabres.
-
The end around to Reggie Bush lost 8 yards and Carpenter missed the ensuing 45 yard field goal. We would lose in OT. A win could have made the playoffs and end of the drought a reality.

Did you guys think you were going to get a public apology? A sacrificial lamb? A quart of blood perhaps? The media requested access to the GM and he obliged them. The same old questions were asked and the same old answers given. What combination of words will make you feel better about another year of playing below expectations and hoping to snag the last wild card spot?

Week 14 - Bills at Rams Game Week Thread
Jauronimo replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Most of which have been special teams. -
Just add a quick 10 lbs of muscle by Week 17. No big deal.

13 games, 12 carries, negative 3 yards, and 1 TD. Reggie must have run that 1 TD in backwards?
-
Quinn has played himself out of the lineup again and deservedly so. Cozens actually looked pretty decent playing between Peterka and Benson last night. Its pretty clear that Peterka drove that line. Sabres remain in this weird limbo of win now but also let the young guys play and develop.

They should have won that game. Tired of moral victories here but they out chanced Winnipeg and had the disallowed goal which I thought was 50/50. Can't give up 2 on 0s in OT. No clue WTF Byram was thinking on that play other than he must have thought we were going to end it. At least they secure 1 point. They can follow this encouraging effort with laying an egg against the Mormon Tabernacle Ball Hockey Club.

I don't think this is the top.

I agree with that philosophy in general but I am not convinced that BTC is guaranteed to behave like this in the future. Legislation, competing block chains, there are existential risks to BTC. And the cycles are sooooo long. Watching value decline for 2 or 3 years on end when you could be making money in something basic like SPY is tough. Only if he sells and does so quickly. There is still the matter of his prediction that all other block chains will be defunct due to ISO blah blah blah certification.

Idk, LeSean McCoy is pretty proud of his super bowl rings.

Is the Hyde package similar to the Joe Webb package?

Xavier Worthy: So far, not much more than a gadget guy
Jauronimo replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe when Mahomes finally puts one right on the money in the AFC Championship game, Worthy drops it and demands to go to a shittier team in Texas after they're eliminated? -

A few of those should have been big plays downfield but Worthy doesnt know where the sideline is. Mahomes didn't need throw those as close to the boundary as he did on at least one, however. -
Quinn and Cozens massively underperforming this year is a significant issue. No matter who they are paired with that line continues to be a black hole. Both players are being totally outperformed by the bottom 6 role players we signed this offseason. We do not have a second line and as a result of injury and underperformance we are messing with lines which were performing well (3rd and 4th line). So much of this season was counting on young players to take the next step. Quinn, Kulich, Cozens, and Benson is a lot of roster space for young guys trying to find their game. The fact that three of them played on the same line for much of the year is far from ideal. Power play remains miserable. Good teams have consistently good special teams in this league. There is no excuse to have this ineffective of a PP when you have two elite one timers on opposite sides of the umbrella in Tage and Peterka. Last night was vintage panic. You could see the change in game play after going up 4-0. Avs started buzzing around a bit and in the second period Buffalo was barely hanging on with strong play from UPL. Buffalo had chances to put this game away and did nothing with breakaways. Dahlin hits the dressing room and the wheels absolutely fell off. UPL gave up some juicy rebounds on goals 2, 3, and 5 but our Dmen did nothing. There was utter panic and tail chasing that led up to a few of those.

Its been a fun ride but now its time to talk about BTC price targets, when to start selling, and how much to sell. I think BTC will surpass $100k in the near future so I am holding for now. I expect that the psychological impact of hitting that milestone will create its own momentum driving prices even higher before crashing back down and then at some point a long slow grind down to the new support level. Probably somewhere near the previous high of $60k. Crypto is highly cyclical and having observed a couple of cycles I don't think this cycle will be all that different. I am still in wait and see mode but once we cross $100k BTC value it will be time to actively monitor and think about setting sell targets. I'll be looking to dump at least 75% of my holdings this cycle, park my money in SPY for a while, and then look to start buying back in after price declines below $65k. Thats the general plan.

I think I was almost mad that I wasn't mad. Just pathetic.

Is this the best team in the Allen era?
Jauronimo replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Between injuries and age we didn't get the Poyer Hyde combo for most of last season. -

Damar has done a good job of playing within himself. Be the last man back and don't let anyone get behind you. He has contributed a few nice plays near the LoS. As much as I would like to upgrade the position this offseason, he has not been the disaster. On the other side, Rapp is having an outstanding season. Our safety play has been a major surprise. Dare I say that safety play is better this year than last year? -

I think this team has another gear yet to hit on offense. We have yet to see what this offense can look like with Kincaid, Coleman, Samuel, and Cooper all healthy and available. Now this could go badly if Brady tries to get everyone involved rather than gameplan for each opponent but we have yet to take the field with our new starting offense in tact. On defense, I don't think we have another level to hit. Milano could shape into form which would help. Getting Smoot and Carter back helps for depth, but I don't see this team suddenly figuring out how to shut down the power run game and make offenses one dimensional. -
What’s it gonna take to improve /prioritize our run defense?

And if we don't? -
She's still here under a different name.

I am reserving judgement until I hear the drunk fans side of the story.
