  1. Another coaching staff that thinks the best solution on 4th and inches is to bring out your offense and try and get the defense to take an undisciplined encroachment. I'm sorry, but this is the least imaginative, most predictable thing a coach can do. Once an extra 5 seconds goes by than a normal snap, the whole stadium knows its not going to be snapped. Unless you do a total fake-out and actually hike the ball with a second remaining on the game clock, just remove this crap altogether. Serves them right that they got false start on that play, too.
  2. 2-2 to start the season...you would be crazy to bench a QB that starts the year like that...
  3. It's possible that for some reason Brown is just not a special teams guy and that was heavily factored into the release, and perhaps why other teams are staying away. I tend to think you want the last back on the depth chart to be a flexible utility piece on the roster. I will say this though...unless Boobie Dixon proves to be an asset in short yardage situations soon, I think we didn't keep the right 3rd back.
  4. I tend to think that it's pretty rare to hire a coach after only one successful season as an offensive coordinator. What happened to Pettine was bad luck and certainly not the rule.
  5. So you could use it as your signature?
  6. Chargers made a big comeback against Detroit. They were marching late when Stevie Johnson tipped an easy pass in the air and it turned into a pick 6. I think they will be a wildcard contender for sure. Look for 3 teams out of that division. The KC game will be huge (again).
  7. I can rest easy knowing that a guy who's username is "FireChan" is holding out hope for Ryan Tannehill, and is telling me to "get it together".
  8. Starts a thread about trading McKelvin Wants us to keep McKelvine
  9. We get it, you made a metaphor, relax.
  10. Love his podcast. No one rambles like Ol' Billy Boy.
  11. Clearly a preemptive strike against would-be law suits refarding concussions. It likely has no effect whatsoever, but it can't be used as a crutch in the future.
  12. Did you watch that video? I don't care if he is at all, I'm not Jerry Sullivan - I love Dareus, I just think it's impossible to tell me he's got complete control of his wits there.
  13. Yeah, but I think that had NOTHING to do with the Patriots. They clearly play Sweet Caroline because that's what other teams do (Red Sox obviously, but WVU, PITT, several other stadiums I've been to), similar to the white stripes song, similar to pretty much everything save for the shout song which none of the current employees had any hand in doing. It's just more unoriginal nonsense by the sub-par production staff. I love gamedays and wont spend any time complaining about the stadium, the team or any of that, but the hardest part of getting through the games for me has been the lackluster production. My guess is because it's only 10 events per year they don't invest anything into it, but it's really poorly done. One of the expensive screens is WASTED by just having fantasy/individual scores. The big screen itself doesn't maximize the resolution properly. When they show out of town scores, they show the game clock in those games, and they use the same font and size as OUR game clock - something that doesn't just annoy me, but could actually affect the players looking up from the field. I don't even mind that they throw a ton of ads up there, I get it, but there's just so much more they could do with that screen.
  14. Holy crap, he is high as a kite here. Seriously, watch this and tell me he's not under the influence: http://www.buffalobills.com/video/videos/Watch_Marcell_Dareus_Signs_Contract_Extension/877f1a83-50ce-4dff-bda3-ae666bb74d1b
  15. Makes sense that Pegula does this in his first home game after an full offseason to prepare. Classy move.
  16. I'm pretty sure Doug emails that out to all new players on their first day.
  17. Pass over the middle to Charles Clay for 13 yards. We'll get 1 first down (price is right, baby!).
  18. Really? In their last 14 starts (also, EJ's FIRST 14 starts), Manuel's record is 6-8 (including a loss in the Cleveland game that he left the field leading) and Cassel's is 4-10. It's pretty amazing to me that people for whatever reason hold this opinion. Also, scroll to the bottom of this page, and let me know how you feel about Cassel's game managing (I'll give you a hint, he's averaged 145 passing yards in his last 5 starts): http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CassMa00/gamelog//
  19. Buddy, are you seriously trying to suggest that Matt Cassel is more elusive than EJ Manuel? It's not a debatable topic. Matt Cassel himself would undoubtedly tell you that he is not.
  20. I feel you. I imagine before the preseason, if EJ put some goals on paper on how well he could see himself playing, he would have exceeded those goals. It's got to be frustrating to make that much progress and still have no chance to play.
  21. Wow, you're serious, aren't you?
