EJ deserves time on the field with first team offense.

I totally thought you quoted a different post! No idea where that brain fart came from, sorry! -

So, since you do, can you post and go over the 5-6 wtf plays? -

If scrimmage = preseason, then EJ has 3 TDs in about 3 or 4 quarters of play. I'm not sure how that helps your "argument". Your single sentence retorts are not as witty as you think they might appear. They're routinely dismissive and elitist. The below example is particularly insulting and I'm not sure your points merit any sort of consideration since you don't give anyone else the time. Prime example: -

For the record, before this gets buried in the drivel: -

So playing well in the preseason games and the team scrimmage isn't going to have an effect on the competition? Got it, thanks. -
Brady 4 game suspension upheld; Will go to court

I know. The second part of my post was just being silly. The transparency I was referring to was that the whole, "the general public thinks he's awful but his bosses love him thing" is really obvious with Sullivan, but with Goodell I think it's debatable. -

Honest question, did you watch the game? One of those three and outs a defender sprinted at EJ completely unblocked right at the snap. You would have to be pretty cynical to blame him whatsoever for that. -

Jerry Sullivan is a lot more transparent than the complex back and forth we get with Goodell. Goodell played into the Pats**[*] previously with Spygate and has now gone 180 on them. At the very least it shows he's somewhat capable of making the right decisions even if he must first brutally learn his lesson in the court of public opinion. ...also, just for fun, if Sullivan were the commissioner and actually acted as he writes in his columns, Darues would be suspended for the 2015 season, and Lynch would have been banned. -

I'm wasting my time with this one... But since you're the one making the comparisons, you should probably note that TT got the 1st team OL, which proved to make a huge difference. Also, TT got sacked on a third down that resulted in a missed field goal. I thought Taylor and EJ played pretty well given their respective circumstances. I'm not sure why you feel it necessary to spin the narrative to make it so only one of them looked good. -

I think EJ has progressed. I did not want him to be handed the starting job, but instead prove that he can battle in a competition and win the job. There is something about EJ that I can't quite explain. He's not clutch per se, but he looks calm and handles big moments and high pressure well considering his lack of experience. I truly feel that given an opportunity to have a career EJ Manuel would develop into a clutch starting QB and someone you can depend on to convert game winning drives. He has a shocking amount of detractors and he really has risen to the occasion. If he doesn't get another snap with the first team as a Buffalo Bill I'll be disappointed in the organization. They took too long to quit on Losman and Edwards, but I think they are quitting too soon on EJ Manuel. There's definitely an art to grooming a franchise QB and for whatever reason the Bills since Kelly have gotten it dreadfully wrong each time. -

yeah, he's so terrible that he's on this list of 11 of the worst quarterbacks of all time. -
How close was Kelly to becoming a Raven?

That's awesome. If EJ threw 10 good spirals there would be a debate over what is and isn't a spiral. -
Here's a 9 minute clip of EJ making plays from his first 10 games that you will not watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBDqyq_6Oc0&feature=youtu.be&t=13s

Ok, I give up -- EJ will be 3rd string or cut

Where did this question come from? What's the context of it? He has only played for one coaching staff in his 14 game career. -

The post I was referring to showed the similarities between EJ's first 14 games and how it's better than Tannehill's first 16. From a comparative standpoint, the argument is: why the pitchforks and torches now, when EJ's ceiling is potentially higher than Tannehill's, and he showed no greater signs at this point in his career than EJ? You do understand that the people who want EJ to start, want him to start because that's a good way to groom someone into being a franchise quarterback, right? I'm not saying that EJ is the end-all-be-all, but I am saying that it's ludicrous for everyone to give up on him when he's performing on par or better than most franchise QB's at this point in their career. If the Bills decide to go with Cassel, and we perform in the 10 win range and make the playoffs this year or next because of our defense (and I'm not saying that playing EJ in any way negates making the playoffs), that's great and all - but come 2017 we've got no franchise QB and an aging defense. Oh, the solution is to draft one you say? Well unless it's Andrew Luck he's going to need a few years to figure it out. You have clearly proven that you won't give that guy those years, so now what? Rinse and repeat, I suppose. -

The only problem with this, is that the scrimmage and preseason game did not have repeated mistakes at a frustrating rate. Yes it did. Even EJ's incomplete passes are more impressive than the other QB's. -

No, you see Tennehill is awesome, and EJ sucks. That's the narrative we've been told, and we must stick to it. Please remove the facts, I've seen EJ throw an incomplete pass. -
