  1. Yeah, because then it went W-L-L-W-L-L
  2. You have all the questions and all the answers. You don't even need us.
  3. Yawn. Give me a real take. Oh he was playing scared? How do you quantify that? Oh, he always plays scared? So he's never played well or won any games? Both QB's look pretty average in this offense. Of course I'll give the nod to Tyrod thus far, but EJ's had a single game against a top 5 D and looked fine. Why don't you hyper analyze every single pass from the titans game and get back to me. It's not EJ it's not Tyrod, there are much larger issues on this team.
  4. EJ was sacked twice in 42 passing attempts... Tyrod was sacked 4 times against the Titans. EJ was 5/13 on 3rd downs, Tyrod was 4/12 against the Titans. Maybe it is an offense thing.
  5. Same goes for the post-fumble arm points to signal that their team absolutely has the ball.
  6. Ok, see ya.
  7. I don't know, you're the one who knows for sure that there were more players running wide open yesterday.
  8. Agreed. How dare EJ ask Watkins to stop and sit down in an open spot, when he knew full well that Watkins would need to break his own ankle as a sacrifice to make the catch.
  9. Because, Agent 91 - EJ Manuel is a menace to society and needs to be stopped. I'm surprised you overlooked his intentions with that pass. It seemed everyone in the stadium surely was more angered with the pass than the resulting 6 points it netted the team.
  10. So what are you arguing? They were down 17-14 at half while Watkins was in the game against a 6-0 football team. It's not like they weren't producing.
  11. How could you possibly know that? Prove it.
  12. Absolutely. EJ has been on a rampage this season with the torrent of injuries he's caused - and the throw to Watkin that broke his ankle is uncalled for and certainly not the sign of a team player.
  13. Are we going to pretend that Tyrod Taylor didn't have 10 and 14 point games? Tyrod barely threw for 100 yards against the Titans, but EJ leaves more plays out there... ok. It's fair to say that the offense in general has looked poor, and neither QB has really done anything (except maybe Tyrod in the Miami game) to make you think they're the future. I'm inclined to think that neither quarterback is likely to hit their proposed ceiling. It really doesn't matter which one we go with moving forward, as long as we keep with that guy and give them time.
  14. thank god deadspin did not exist in the 90's, amirite?
  15. it would seem as though our special teams are very special indeed.
  16. ok, i would like to nominate president ike chevy impala for his missed tackle that resulted in a touchdown.
  17. If the Montreal Allouettes didn't release him in CFL training camp Skelton would still be an active professional football player.
  18. I'm sorry but I have to disagree. Everything you said was based on your projection of how the team should have been. To think that a 2-2 quarterback is going to have a losing season goes against the facts, and to blame EJ for the San Diego loss is equivalent to blaming Tyrod for the Giants loss. The point I'm trying to make is that Bortles is going to get a few years to develop, and unsurprisingly he's allegedly improving. Here we complain about QB purgatory when in reality we had a guy in the exact same position as Bortles (albeit with a better team and record) but we dumped him to the curb. There's no positive spin in missing the playoffs and getting 12 games out of a guy who literally retired. To say they only win 6 games with EJ is crap.
  19. Are you seriously suggesting... never mind, it's not worth the time.
  20. Bortles' first 4 games this year look like EJ Manuel's first 4 last year, with a worse record and yet Bortles is destined for greatness...okay. EJ MANUEL (1st 4 games 2014) 58% - Completion Percentage 6.4 - Yards per attempt 76 - Completions 131 - Attempts 838 - Yards 5 - Touchdowns 3 - Interceptions 2-2 - W/L Record BLAKE BORTLES (1st 4 games 2015) 54% - Completion Percentage 6.5 - Yards per attempt 85 - Completions 156 - Attempts 996 - Yards 6 - Touchdowns 3 - Interceptions 1-3 - W/L Record
  21. Is that the issue? That he went to the media? He's not getting the ball. He could stand on top of the mountains, he could yell at the QB's, he could take to the media, the internet or write a book... But none of that matters unless he gets the ball more. I'm sure he's still a good teammate, and until I see it reported otherwise, I think you're creating drama. Mario Williams even said, just get him the ball. All of that extra crap about maturity doesn't matter one bit. He needs the ball thrown to him. No one's play will suffer because of hurt feelings nearly as much as the team will improve if Sammy Watkins gets the ball 10+ times per game.
  22. You guys are all grossly overlooking the Antowain Smith Curse of 2000.
  23. He has been out for a lot of very important offensive snaps. We were led to believe he was primarily a blocker, and yet I've seen him go out for passes on 3rd down. I think it is important. Put your best players on the field that give you the best chance to win. Marcus Easley is a better receiving option. If the play NEEDS it to be a tight end because of what it make the defense do, then put in Chris Gragg. If he's out there, and you're using him as a decoy or you're trying to leverage his status as a blocker in order to keep the defense guessing -- well, then that's a classic case of out-thinking yourself.
  24. I mean...they included first downs and total yards, both of which the Titans had the advantage.
