  1. Cool. Maybe that guy knows his place. Did McLaughlin ever hold the role of de facto general manager? Is McLaughlin on the phone on draft day calling other teams, or is he smiling and supporting the franchise? Brandon has spearheaded the coach search multiple times. That's hardly the marketing guy's role. To absolve him from blame during his last 9 years of failure as a major figure with this team is simply naive. He's been way too involved with too many huge decisions for me to think it's a witch hunt. Sorry.
  2. How naive are you? What do you think he's doing here? or here?
  3. How many times do we have to prove that this isn't true? He's literally in the war room on the phone talking to GMs on draft day. It's possible that with the sabres job his role now is to just manage and report back to the Pegulas daily, but I'm willing to wager that his access to major football discussions doesn't count him out. It's very difficult to have a power shift and take away someone's role when there's no one to supervise him. My guess is Brandon is constantly discussing with Whaley and I would prefer he not have a say whatsoever
  4. Must see mobile device video stream*
  5. Tough spot for any QB these last three weeks with injuries. Robert Woods, Chris Hogan, D Moore - is that seriously our starting receiving group? Looks like Clay needs to have a big day.
  6. Mulligan (Gragg is a better receiver and Mulligan is the most frustrating player to see on 3rd downs - no way he is a #2 TE) Rambo (Nice way to enter the organization, but now that play time has increased I see him as a huge liability, especially in red zone coverage) Dixon (obvious) Goodwin (obvious)
  7. I don't know. I think a lot has to do with pre-snap reads and understanding exactly who will be open quickly.
  8. Maybe go through this again and see if you can find where I didn't understand what could be one of the simplest stats to comprehend. Is it possible that I made a harmless joke about the jets' declining record from 2012 onward? Lighten up.
  9. Of course I trust that the DL knows what they're talking about, but I don't think there's anyway that we can instantly change the scheme to produce more sacks. It appears that New England provided the formula to the rest of the league and that's to hurry up, snap the ball and make quick short passes. We need a totally different angle to beat teams that are doing this, and I think last week Rex made an effort. If blitzing and rushing defenders is useless when the ball gets out quick, then I think he was right to think that dropping into coverage would help. Unfortunately, the Bengals really beat us by running the ball late, and we had poor execution on 3rd downs (mostly unrelated to scheme in my opinion) which are whole different issues altogether. I think people are a little overblown with ridiculing Rex and his scheme, and I think every time we face a bad QB we will destroy them. Time will tell, and I hope that they can make the necessary adjustments to get the DE's to the QB, but it does seem as though the defense needs to figure out how to beat the quick pass.
  10. oh, so like what if it was L-L-L-L-L ?
  11. So more like W-W-L-L-L-L got it, sorry.
  12. yeah but it looks wonderful on TV
  13. Yeah, because then it went W-L-L-W-L-L
  14. You have all the questions and all the answers. You don't even need us.
  15. Yawn. Give me a real take. Oh he was playing scared? How do you quantify that? Oh, he always plays scared? So he's never played well or won any games? Both QB's look pretty average in this offense. Of course I'll give the nod to Tyrod thus far, but EJ's had a single game against a top 5 D and looked fine. Why don't you hyper analyze every single pass from the titans game and get back to me. It's not EJ it's not Tyrod, there are much larger issues on this team.
  16. EJ was sacked twice in 42 passing attempts... Tyrod was sacked 4 times against the Titans. EJ was 5/13 on 3rd downs, Tyrod was 4/12 against the Titans. Maybe it is an offense thing.
  17. Same goes for the post-fumble arm points to signal that their team absolutely has the ball.
  18. Ok, see ya.
  19. I don't know, you're the one who knows for sure that there were more players running wide open yesterday.
  20. Agreed. How dare EJ ask Watkins to stop and sit down in an open spot, when he knew full well that Watkins would need to break his own ankle as a sacrifice to make the catch.
  21. Because, Agent 91 - EJ Manuel is a menace to society and needs to be stopped. I'm surprised you overlooked his intentions with that pass. It seemed everyone in the stadium surely was more angered with the pass than the resulting 6 points it netted the team.
  22. So what are you arguing? They were down 17-14 at half while Watkins was in the game against a 6-0 football team. It's not like they weren't producing.
  23. How could you possibly know that? Prove it.
  24. Absolutely. EJ has been on a rampage this season with the torrent of injuries he's caused - and the throw to Watkin that broke his ankle is uncalled for and certainly not the sign of a team player.
