  1. Are you living in a world where you don't think there have been meetings regarding damage control? I'm not saying necessarily that he's right, but without a doubt there will be an attempt to clear the NFL's image via the media.
  2. Couldn't agree more. I'm sure there are weaving forums out there with more negativity.
  3. You know they cheated, right? There is no high ground here, we're simply fans. Mocking Patriots fans for rooting for a cheating team is a part of sports. It's part of the identity. It needs to be done, with or without you. No one will be calling you a whiner except for Boston fans, to which you laugh and call them cheaters. It's a cycle -- it's sports. It's not real, and you should try and have a little bit more fun with it. Embrace it. You've already signed up on a sports message board.
  4. The point is that, in acting that way you're not simply being a skeptic, you're taking pride in mocking Bills fans. It's pathetic. More so than those alleged "whiners" if you ask me.
  5. His track record really is unreal, but it also really is not at a D1 program. I'm still excited for this year, but it boggles my mind how horrible a University with that kind of money and ESPN exposure can be at recruiting. I disagree that they're starting to get on the map. If you look at their 07-09 recruiting classes, they had many more ranked players. There was one season with multiple 3 star recruits, which to me should be an absolute minimum to be competitive.
  6. The sad part of today is UB, who hosted events and held media coverage. Their top recruit was the 82nd best RB in the nation. They got a 2 star QB and there are very positive reports about it, even though only Eastern and Central Michigan made offers. I love UB, and root very hard for them, but it's hard to watch them constantly act like a big school without any big actions.
  7. That's literally not true at all.
  8. Well they shouldn't, because it's not even close to as heartbreaking. The refs reviewed and upheld our "miracle", remember.
  9. It's not publicly bashing a HC. It's publicly bashing an OL coach. You get that, right?
  10. Taking your analogy at face value, you're saying Fred shouldn't comment on ISIS, because logically that's not his area of expertise. Which, I'll grant you, is fair and makes sense. Unfortunately (for your analogy), he happens to know A LOT more than you or I about Marrone leaving, rendering his opinion completely valuable, especially when applying your own analogy (as it happens to actually be his area of expertise). You do realize the fallacy in this specific anolgy as it pertains to your argument, right? Also -- does it really matter? I mean at this point what it comes down to is you have a bit of respect for Marrone still, and most of us do not. Taking shots at Fred or Aaron Williams is arbitrary and pointless as it does not deter nor strengthen from your consistent protest.
  11. Finally, Marrone gets the proper promotion that he actually deserved after his tenure with Syracuse. What a mistake it was to make this guy an NFL HC with his lack of qualifications.
  12. I agree with this for the most part. I mean, even if you were able to speak intelligently, almost no important decisions are theirs to make. I will say this though: When position coaches come in with a long resume and no success, it's hard to justify or understand what it is they bring to the table.
  13. Not a fan of the QB coach, David Lee, at all. I don't think there was a lot there with Geno Smith to begin with, but what else can I judge someone who's title is quarterback's coach, then by the play of his quarterback? Fitzpatrick did not look great with this guy, and a glance at this resume leads me to wonder who he's worked with that actually showed success? Don't even get me started with the wildcat.
  14. We were 4-2 in the division, which honestly should be good enough. Having Brady in the division - more than anything else - is our reason for a 15 year drought. The team has no doubt been average, coming it at 7-9 several times... But they had two guaranteed losses to handicap them each of those years. Average teams squeak in all the time, but we could never be so lucky.
  15. Wouldn't it look better to take the year off, especially since everyone knows he's collecting 4m? When compared to the Jaguars OC position, which is undoubtedly a huge demotion, a year off looks better. It makes it seem like he needed time to collect his thoughts and then he can gain hype next season when the hate is not cranked to 10.
  16. Literally none of us are qualified to discuss with merit the differences in Rex's exotic defenses. I'm not really even sure Doug Marrone could either, so don't feel bad.
  17. Literally the best video I've seen on the team site (not saying much I know - content is usually underwhelming) It really makes me feel like we actual have a state of the art facility. Rex's reactions seemed genuine and authentic. I'm now interested to see what the Browns or Chiefs have.
  18. Russ Brandon is very transparent, and strikes me as an honest individual with no passion for deceit. He's probably a huge fan of the large and often polarizing debate that takes place about his status as a team President. I'm sure he's just keeping internal decisions close to the vest because he feels there's inherent value in that, and certainly not because he has anything to hide. /s
  19. Not that it's original at all...but that's nearly word-for-word what I had posted in the shoutbox when it happened. I wonder is Sal is a lurker?
  20. Maybe he'll redistribute that 4m accordingly.
