  1. That's cute and all, but sometimes you're down in the game, even using your run run run style. It's not always 41 points that we need, but this guy is hopeless when we need just 4. lol, what? he did?
  2. He's regressing. Part of the problem with this franchise is we don't understand the importance in developing players. We've never properly groomed a QB. If Taylor is only marginally better than EJ, then you play your younger QB that has the chance to progress. Taylor hit his ceiling the first game he started for us. Marrone set the franchise backwards starting a retired QB. It's simply not how you build for the future. Taylor was a stop-gap, but we didn't need that. We needed to groom a QB. After this year, EJ walks, we don't keep Taylor and we've got a really really green project QB. In other words, we're back at square one. It's really sad how poorly our front office has handled the position.
  3. I honestly prefer EJ as a passer. I won't argue that he's more accurate in general, but EJ undoubtedly leads his targets better in the middle of the field. I never thought of that as such a skill to long for, but it always feels like Taylor needs his receivers to be standing still facing him with their hands ready for the pass.
  4. Sure, there are other (most) games to look back on.
  5. No way. Not the guy. He can win you games when the defense executes and we run the ball well. As a passer he's overrated.

  7. So many excuses.
  8. Well said.
  9. Their game plan was to neutralize Brady, and they executed it perfectly. Of course we still lost. Not sure why that would give you hope.
  10. In the short term he failed us last season in late games (KC, PHI, NE - to name a few) and this season (BAL, MIA). To pretend that he's not been given the opportunity to fail would tell me that you've not seen many fourth quarters since he's been our QB. If you mean in the long term he hasn't been given the opportunity to fail, then I don't see how that's any different than yanking a second year QB with a 2-2 record.
  11. I'd like to think we're all experts at watching non-playoff teams. Perhaps the Taylor dissent is hitting close to home because you realize that it means we're recognizing yet another disappointment is on the horizon.
  12. There's no hope for you, but at least you didn't use a seven period ellipses in this post.
  13. Not funny at all. It's incredibly annoying. The EJ ship has sailed, that's for sure, but he's not nearly as bad as most people think.
  14. I'd like to think that this stat, our lack of YAC, and our inept two minute drill hold more water about our passing game than any other nonsense that tries to fluff them up. In all three losses we were down late, had a crucial drive or two that NEEDED conversions, and we crumbled. I don't know who to blame, the college offense style, or the QB that panics if his first read isn't open and refuses to throw passes to lead his receiver. This offense boils down to this: If we run well, we have a chance to win. If we don't, we lose. There is no in between.
  15. Closer to the actual score than the 10 point win someone predicted earlier in the week.
  16. This and the anti clutch stats have confrimed my feeling that Tyrod is not leading receivers and that it really hurts you late in a game when they know you're going to pass.
  17. Several people wanted him to bring in someone better BEFORE the season.
  18. Yep. No matter the color of the jersey, he will lay you out.
  19. As I understand it, do not count on him playing at all this season.
  20. I understand that we're in an exceptionally long playoff drought, but have you really forgotten what good QB is supposed to look like? He was not good in the second half and I never thought we had a chance once the Dolphins took the lead. I have no idea why you're bringing up 3rd downs as a positive. Tyrod created phantom pressure and stopped going through his reads on consecutive third downs, and took a costly sack on another. While I've got your attention, the proper use of an ellipses is three periods. It's been bugging me and I wasn't sure if you knew that or not.
  21. I appreciate the effort, but your bias bleeds through in nearly every comment. To conclude that Tyrod showed progress is shocking, to say the least. He may not have been as bad as people are saying, but progress? Come on, man.
