  1. This is glorious. Never has someone used fewer words to completely contradict themselves.
  2. It's actually 197 for the only season he started (his rookie season). TT is in his 6th year and currently has a 185 YPG, by the way.
  3. Got it. Thanks.
  4. EJ Manuel has only ever thrown more than 2 INTS in a game ONE TIME, it's the exception, not the rule. It's like saying Tyrod Taylor will throw for over 200 yards. He was a developing QB that wasn't nearly as bad as you guys mis-remember.
  5. No one picks apart a prevent defense quite like Tyrod Taylor. All those wide-open standing still receivers fresh off their uncovered curl routes. It's Christmas for him out there.
  6. Best coach of all-time: This man benched our second year QB with a 2-2 record in favor of a retired QB that, obviously, y'know retired again when he uhh had obviously, y'know the chance to do so.
  7. I mean...did they bench him or not? Is that a complaint or a fact? Help me out here...you're reaching.
  8. We have 6 drops on the season. We're averaging less than one a game. Open your eyes.
  9. Why don't you re-read my post...I applied Taylor's most popular excuse to EJ, pointing out how it's asinine to complain about the WRs. I even said, "for hypocrisy's sake". The point (that you missed), was that none of these excuses are exclusive to Taylor and are getting annoying. No one was making them for EJ (as they shouldn't have) and no one will make them for the next QB if they don't perform well. Some of you guys are so enamored by a scrambling QB that you forget the ultimate objective is to win. When these games are on the line and the defense knows we are in pass mode Taylor crumbles. It's not debatable at this point, it's what he does. I very much so would like to see us shift in another direction next year.
  10. What?
  11. Would love it, but I've moved on. The EJ ship has sailed. We didn't develop him and honestly most of the blame goes to the selfish Marrone move to completely disregard our future in favor of a retired QB. I do find it amusing though the amount of excuses that Tyrod gets, when EJ had about as much slack as an inch worm. For pure hypocrisy's sake...in the infamous Jags game, our starting WRs were Woods, Easley and Danarius Moore. I Never saw a single person complain about the WRs (as they shouldn't have). If Taylor played with 1/10th the heart that EJ has I think maybe I'd actually feel like we could cross the 50 yard line late in games.
  12. Yeah? And EJ had Woods, Easley, and Danarius Moore as his receivers for the infamous Jags game. I'm sure people were very quick to use that as an excu- oh wait...no one cared (as they shouldn't have). Just throw the damn ball.
  13. I lose the argument because I made a wise-crack joke? Here let me actually take your dumb hypothetical seriously for a second... How much better is Moulds + Price than Watkins + Woods? You think our receivers aren't getting open? Would be the first I've heard of that as the problem...
  14. A lot of that is because he plays it so safe. You have to take a few chances to take a game over. He's not going to do that, and it's limiting enough that we're a .500 team.
  15. Oh god, that was the worst game of the whole drought, wasn't it... I'm not arguing that Taylor isn't probably one of the better of the bunch -- I'm saying it IS CLOSE. He BELONGS in the same discussion as Bledsoe, Fitzpatrick, EJ, Losman, Edwards. He's not separated himself at all. I'm sick of seeing posts that say, "he's leagues better than anything we've had in years". Simply not true.
  16. You're right, they only need to make him pass to make him completely ineffective. I honestly don't know how you didn't type "Bledsoe" and then just stop and remember him actually passing the ball all over the place and go, "oh yeah, what am I talking about...let me delete this post I was so wrong" Seriously, I'll buy you a yacht if Taylor passes for 4,400 yards in a season.
  17. SO many misnomers. It amazes me how simple some of you can be. You can try all you want to separate Taylor from the pack of loser QB's we've had but he's the EXACT SAME. JP once lost to a Tom Brady Patriots team IN NEW ENGLAND 19-17, but he looked lost right? Nonsense. EJ couldn't improvise? What are you talking about? Trent Edwards couldn't improvise, I'll give you that, but no need to just make stuff up. If Taylor was so good, this wouldn't be a discussion. He's done little to separate himself from this pack.
  18. When we lose in Seattle on Monday and Tyrod loses three straight, there will be an excuse, right? It's different this time, because reasons! There is little to no drop off. You're projecting. Fans hate Manuel because of where he was drafted. I wish Tyrod showed one ounce of EJ's want in the second half of that Jaguars game.
  19. Such hyperbole crap. Why don't you actually look at his last three starts and come back to me with his yards, TDs, and INTs?
  20. This is all nonsense. We're 4-4. No reason to think we'd have a worse record with EJ or most team's backups playing. We beat a bunch of crap teams, and won games with opportunistic defense and a strong running game. YOU dont watch the games if you actually think Tyrod is going to magically develop into anything other than what he has shown.
  21. don't click that link, it will open up a video that will corrupt your computer eyes.
  22. damn those streets in hemet are not to be messed with sorry for your loss.
  23. No way. The margin is way smaller than you think. Accuracy is a wash, deep balls are similar, TT is a better scrambler, but EJ will stay in the pocket long enough for plays to develop. The biggest difference is EJ is better at leading receivers and Taylor is better at ball security. I've seen enough of Taylor to know that he absolutely cannot be counted on late in games, and I think EJ is a gamer. Of course, at his best Taylor is a little betteroverall, but again, it's a smaller margin than you're making it out to be. Taylor is another one of these QB's, he doesn't stand out that much to me in this playoff-less era. Right now, he's hit a ceiling and I have no faith he can improve. That alone makes me want to see someone else back there.
  24. I've never seen a QB get so many excuses in my life.
