  1. If he’s the one that brought up politics can you list out your red flags you see in Rosen?
  2. So many questions... 1. Because he’s from California and played tennis, he’s automatically spoiled? 2. Cleveland isn’t taking him 1 overall? Do you know something we don’t? 3. AJ MCCarron is better and it’s not even close? Can you even try to prove that?
  3. @Thurmanator 12074 Can you elaborate on why you said you wouldn’t root for him? What about his character makes you feel that strongly towards him?
  4. Two firsts in the same year is a serious trade offer, even for #2. I think those plus our second next year or third this year should be our limit. If NYG want a QB, there’s no way they’re trading anyway.
  5. Too much off-season.
  6. It's not easy to be a former first round pick, three seasons out of the NFL, by age 25. Have to give him credit for that.
  7. Except he did fit, they were horribly run, impatient, and overvalued Kelvin Sheppard.
  8. No, it's not "easy". Jerry would thrive as a blitzing LB in a 3-4.
  9. He didn't really fail. He played less than half the snaps there, started 7 games in 3 years and got a lot of ST play. Hughes had 5 sacks in 7 starts there, and I'm pretty sure they regret trading him away.
  10. That was the most impressively lazy video editing I've seen in a long time. I genuinely laughed out loud when I realized he was going to be using his mouse cursor to show us where to look.
  11. Literally? Like... you think Kyle Williams, Lorenzo Alexander, or Stephen Hauschka are more likely to get arrested?
  12. I only tune in when something major happens just to hear people chat about the Bills/Sabres. I have nothing but pity for you if you're actually spending serious hours listening to these guys. If you listen on your commute maybe learn how to stream a podcast or something?
  13. I'm excited about the pickup, but it's pretty crazy that a guy with 6 tackles gets a $50 million contract.
  14. The success of our rookie QB will not rest on the shoulders of Dave Culley and McCown is hardly a mentor. He's been on several teams and hasn't exactly left behind a trail of successful proteges.
  15. You are correct, he's a professional. Clearly we're setting the bar high. The only positive I see for McCown is that he will be cheap. He got $6m last season and I assume it would be similar this year. Other than that and your hyperbolic intangibles (an amazing "get", really...), here are some Josh McCown facts: He will be 39 years old to start the season He's never thrown for 20 touchdowns in a season He's never thrown for 3,000 yards in a season His career best wins in a season was 6, in Arizona FOURTEEN YEARS AGO His last contract was a $6m/yr deal He's injury prone, and has missed significant time for these reasons: 2007 - Foot Injury 2007 - Finger Injury 2008 - Left Knee 2014 - Thumb 2015 - Concussion, Ribs, Shoulder 2016 - Collarbone 2017 - Left hand I would rather Peterman start, which is not how I envisioned the team would handle their offseason search for a bridge QB.
  16. We'll never know, but I'm curious to know how much we pursued him. Was there a bidding war, were we just mildly interested, did he straight up select Arizona over us? Either way, this leaves only a trade with Philadelphia for Foles as an option to find our starter anywhere but the draft.
  17. It's weird to get caught up in what the Jets or Dolphins fans think of us. I honestly have not cared about the Jets or Dolphins in the last 10 years or so, including their fluky first couple Rex Ryan years. Of course they're huge divisional games, but I just can't find the energy to care about their fans or teams or anything about them. Until he retires, beating Brady is everything and even if it's the wrong attitude, I just don't have an opinion on the other guys.
  18. We didn't just trade away Cordy Glenn to free up $15m for Preston Brown, that much I know.
  19. Sorry I meant to say none of the other QB's are worth it. The point I was trying to make is, if you can't grab your guy, don't bet the farm for someone else, they could end up being Jake Locker or Christian Ponder.
  20. I have no problem with this plan. There is a greediness to preemptively jumping from 12 to say 4 that could cost us valuable assets. If they have a guy that they think is the answer, then I hope they go for it, but if there's any doubt, I'd stay put. I'm worried this could be like the 2011 NFL Draft and none of the QB's are worth it at all. Coincidentally, the fourth QB was taken 12 overall that year... 1. Cam Newton 8. Jake Locker 10. Blaine Gabbert 12. Christian Ponder
  21. Yes, Bradford only played in 2 games last year and has an injury history. I don't think there's anyone, Bradford included, that doesn't acknowledge that risk at this time... but wouldn't that factor into his negotiations in our favor? He did suit up for 29 games the previous 2 seasons.
  22. In what scenario are they all gone by 12? And when you say "all"... I'm not sure what you mean. You think 5 QBs are going in the first 12 picks??
  23. I know it hasn't meant anything for him in the past, but at this point Bradford's injuries have got to mean he's coming in at a cheaper price tag. Agreed. I've wanted them as well. The only issue with Foles is you have to give up an asset to acquire him which would hamper our ability to snag a QB in the draft. Even if the Eagles would take our later 1st, what are we going to do draft a QB at 12 AND snag Foles? I'd love it, but I'd think they'd want to move up and get their guy with those picks instead. Of course. I think if you stay put at 12 you might have a crack at Mayfield, right? The highlight videos I've seen from Allen scare me. He's got to shed like 6 bad habits before he has a prayer of excelling in the NFL.
  24. Best news of the offseason!
