  1. because it was satire... wondering if EJ is a bust would be a legitimate discussion, especially somewhere around week 10. I Don't think EJ is a bust, I just don't have a clue how he will develop yet, but as of right now, he's not looking too crisp.
  2. Music City Mistake game.......It's no miracle when you break the rules... Don't try drinking it away, I've tried. Being a Buffalo sports fan comes with a warning on the label my friend, just like cigarettes, it's up to you if you choose to heed that warning.
  3. By your logic, the converse would then be true. so let's start etching the bust of EJ Manuel.... now in fact, so much slack is given to the guy let's just forego the whole merit system and give him a spot next to Walter Payton, he is a nice guy, so yeah.... After 14 years of piss poor play, your jab at the over-reactions are pretty unwarranted, especially this year. I could agree with you, and probably would have if it hasn't been wash, rinse, repeat for 1.5 decades. couple that with the potential of Jon Bon Douchebag as a very probable new owner of the team selling us the tale that he's on our side, and you have a higher level of malcontent towards the team. The fans know time is running out for them to see a championship parade down Main Street, so our collective tolerance levels for things like EJs performance are at an all time low. I don't even want to think about the $h1tt QBS we've had to choke down as starters in the past, I mean JP Losman, Capn Checkdown, really? I'd be a little sympathetic if just those 2 AssMunches didn't wear a Bill uniform... So i say let 'em vent, let 'em over-react, they(me included) have earned it. Ohh yeah, some of us even bought jerseys of said AssMunches, so we can put a dollar amount on a tangible piece of team misery....
  4. I thoroughly enjoyed the defensive play, I also think that side of the ball will keep this team watchable this year, but it's too bad we have a 3rd string QB entrenched as our starter because later in the year due to playing more snaps than they should these guys will get worn out.
  5. Wrong. EJ stared down all of his receivers, so badly, that if you go and look at his last batted pass, the defender dropped away from his rush and was able to get his hands up to knock EJs pass down. He actually just stopped rushing on the play it was that bad. The offensive lineman(not sure who it was) almost fell forward a little... what should he have done? it's not football 101 in any way, in fact, it's called holding. Further evidence of EJs inability to look anyone off was his near INT. It was so bad that the linebacker didn't even have to watch the route. Sorry pal, EJs flaws are entirely his own, and 100% due to his play.
  6. It starts at the top, for many years ownership was not 100% committed to doing what it took to win. If you remove the anomaly that was the Bill Polian era, this team would have the worst winning percentage in all of major sports for all time, and that cannot be denied.
  7. It's only nonsense if the #2 guy looks as bad or worse, and the game I watched, the #2 guy looked decidedly better. In fact, if one Stevie Johnson doesn't run the wrong route most of said #2 QBs stats from the KC game he started a year ago would look completely different to the masses. While I agree that to the coaching staff there may not be a QB controversy, there should be, because EJ looked terrible at best, and looked all of a 3rd string bench warmer at worst. 2-7, nearly picked off due to a fundamental basic mechanics error, and missing badly on all his other targets was inexcusable. To suggest there shouldn't be a QB competition on this team right now would be nonsense.
  8. I say we all form a human barricade around RWS the day the moving vans show up. It will be the only time I'd park in the stadium lot too...
  9. These for me... never have I felt worse than watching us lose to degenerates like A-hole michael irvin and the ever so pompous and super douchy jimmy johnson and Jerruh...
  10. Ralph Wilson had nothing to do with the provisions of that lease, it was entirely the state's conditions of protecting their monetary investment in a facility that serves no purpose if the team left WNY. Let's not make a Martyr out Ralph Wilson, he did just as much damage as he did good in the way he refused to sell the team until after his death. I am sad he has passed, but I do not for one second think he did us any favors.
  11. More than likely your PTO plans will resolve themselves after week 6. I'm fairly certain We'll be picking 10th or 11th in next year's draft.
  12. Especially not Jon Bon Jovi's group, it's actually funny how he's pulled a complete 180 in the media. If anyone believes any group from toronto has a shred of intention to keep the team in Buffalo, I've got some ocean front property in oklahoma I'd like to sell you. Here's hoping pegula or Golisano gets the team. I wall probably not attend another game if a toronto group does land the team, I'd bet my entire retirement that as soon as the lease is up, that team is gone. Not even a fraction of 1000th of a percent that they don't.
  13. True, and in all honesty, if the defense resembles anything like last year's unit, and EJ is the same player as last year, bottom 10 is where they will finish. Lots of sacks, lots of flashy moments, lots of yards given up on the ground defensively, coupled with piss poor QB play. Drafting 9th.... ohhh jeez I need a beer, and it's only 8 am where I am...
  14. I am not surprised in the least that Byrd wasn't on the list, while I think he was a very good safety, I was among those that thought he was just as out of place on a lot of defensive plays. some games he looked unstoppable, but not in the Troy Polamalu in his prime kind of way, but he looked great some games, then very pedestrian on many others.
  15. Someone rationalize for me why anyone would rank a perennial 6-10 team any higher?
  16. Nothing personal, but what are you saying here?(highlighted in red)
  17. I'm not overly concerned about him wanting to compete in the 2016 games, he hasn't done enough in the NFL yet for me to be worried about losing him, and yes, he does have olympic speed, you don't finish 10th in the world if you don't. Nobody is exclaiming he has 100 meter olympic speed here.
  18. Glass half full/empty? There is no glass.
  19. We haven't even made it to the first whistle of training camp and already I'm looking forward to the off-season next year. wow, that happened fast. I've never in my entire life witnessed the level of disastrous misfortune that this franchise continues to have. Is it just one player, yes, but it's not about the one player, it's about a team never catching a break, ever. Not for one second. We have to bit our nails and hope someone doesn't steal the team away from us year after year, and that even goes back to when saint ralph used to threaten to move the team. This news makes me want to puke. Heroin has to be 50 times easier to quit than trying to walk away from this team.
  20. Aaron Maybin and 'Lil Donte. Both are never has beens. Just one of them was unfairly given more playing time than the other.
  21. Fixed it for ya!! 'Lil donte has shown flashes of average while mostly playing below average football. He blows. If he was so amazing, why would the Niners let him walk? because he blows.
  22. And THAT, my good TWS board members is how you generate more team revenue... NOT stupid toronto games. If you search this forum for every toronto series debate thread, you'll probably see 20-30 posts by me exclaiming this solution(stadium naming rights was my statement)...
  23. The prosecuting attorney would have the burden of proving intent to injure, that it wasn't an accident. Honestly, does anyone really think that guy slid down that banister with the intent to hurt someone else?
