There are a lot of moving parts with regards to what is going on with the Buffalo Bills right now, so I thought I'd post a little breakdown of what has been exciting, annoying, happy, sad, indifferent, or downright nauseating to me. I welcome anyone who wants to post your lists to do so, but please keep any debates to what people post to those threads bearing that particular topic. I really don't care one bit about what anyone thinks about what people want to vent about in here, I can read it everywhere else on this forum. What I Hate: 1. Jim Kelly having to suffer through a horrible illness, and while the support is very strong for our hero, people still find it necessary to crap all over comments sections on news stories spewing their negative opinions, views and or feelings about the guy. I cannot for the life of me understand that for a split second. I'm sorry, but people live their lives, make mistakes, and learn from them. I love Jim like a brother more for what he has stood for, suffered through, and represents as an advocate for child screening, and his love for our miserable city, than anything he did while a Buffalo Bill. 2. Jon Bon Jovi - go straight to hell, and take your tight pants with you. - Nuff said. 3. The circus about who will buy the team. I do partly blame this on Ralph, but I also recognize what he did do for the city as well. I am just not one of those who tend to canonize the man for it. 4. Any conversation involving a stadium built in, near, or on the Niagara Falls dump. Enough is enough. Buffalo is the home of the team, it is it's well earned and paid for resource, and deserves it to be in the city where it was conceived. The city has lost enough over the last 100 years, and it's time to stop making excuses for why it shouldn't be there. Canadians that love the team will come, people from central NY will be able to get there, and it will have a positive ripple effect on city infrastructure to improve services, roads, and boost the economy. 5. LA - I hope to all that is holy that the city of L.A. never gets another franchise. What I Love: 1. The Buffalo community that has rallied around the scariest of challenges in Jim's fight with cancer. I have never been happier to see so many Bills fans rally around someone, and it has restored my faith in Bills Nation as the best fans in the world. Sometimes all the negativity on these forums makes you wonder.(myself included) 2. Fred Jackson. I wish to God he gets to play 5 more years and kill it in a playoff game, or dare I say a superbowl. 3. Andre Reed - No player has deserved to be recognized for his contributions to the game more than our #1 guy. He quietly changed the way the position was played, and was such a selfless player that made Jim Kelly and other players around him better. 4. The potential for a new owner to begin a winning era in the city of Buffalo for many years to come, along with the Sabres owner investing in the city's rebirth as the cornerstone to the return of glory to a once proud city. 5. Chicken Wings. I listened to the greatest comeback of all time on a crappy radio in Duffs on Sheridan Drive while eating arguably the best wings in Buffalo. I can't have a wing without getting all misty eyed when I have some. That's my list, post yours if you want, and trust me, it was theraputic to just get some things out there. AGAIN, please don't comment rip on anyone who posts their lists, they may contain items that are definitely being discussed in other threads, so consider using the search function and commenting there. Thanks for playing, - Homey D.

me too, I can't stand teams going to an all black jersey, even if it's for one game. -
New Buffalo Bills Fan Rap anthem (2014)
Homey D. Clown replied to ldmgrand's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not trying to be negative by any means, but I like some of it, it just seems a little lacking in substance, and the lyrics are kinda all over the place. -
Jeez... I really hope beyond all hope this never happens. I can't for the life of me see anyone supporting this idea, when downtown Buffalo is now on the rise, and really needing this as an anchor to its waterfront. I love RWS, it was always a fun ride out to the country as a kid, but the stadium belongs in the city which bears it's name. It would be just another punch in the gut to the city of Buffalo and all that the county has given over the last 5 plus decades. I can't see anyone in Erie county office even letting this happen even if it gains any traction, which it really shouldn't. And lets just factor out the fact that downtown Niagara falls by and large is still a colossal mess(tried not to call it a dump, but how will the aerial shots of the stadium look as it sits within a sniff of Mount Trashmore)? Improve the peace bridge, and I'm sorry to say, but the drive to Buffalo isn't that much further, in fact, it would still be shorter a drive than going to Orchard Park. There is literally no benefit to putting it anywhere else, at least nothing I have read here or anywhere else that is enough to put an NFL stadium in that city.

I'm afraid they are going to pick an undertalented "need" player, like Donte Whit-less, or Aaron Maybin. I'd love to see them pick a true #1 WR, or a can't miss LB.

What the Bills offseason tells us about draft plans
Homey D. Clown replied to Luxy312's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think what's worth paying attention to even more than offseason moves are who has visited Orchard Park for workouts. I have been tracking this for 3 years now, and a high number of our draft picks, especially those past round 1 have been a visitor. I'd also like to think that regardless of the offseason moves, if a top tier receiver or middle linebacker is on the board they will not hesitate to pull the trigger. If offseason moves were a really strong indicator of who will be picked, I think all these draft experts would be a lot more accurate with their prognostications. I look at these recent acquisitions as depth, rather than franchise building solutions. The players really worthy of discussion around affecting the draft are: 1. Brandon Spikes - Age and a 1 year deal barely registers as a reason to pass on a top ranked LB 2. Mike Williams - Contract notwithstanding, it appears he has 5 years left on the restructure, has not proven to be anything more than a starting caliber player, like Stevie, a solid #2 player with moments of great play, but not game changing dominance. Barely a reason to pass on a big, athletic potential #1 type of guy. Every other acquisition really doesn't factor in the decision making process in my opinion. I really think of a can't miss player is on the board, these moves have very little impact. -
I think I liked the first one, then if I'm not mistaken, there was a season with T.O. on it, and it really started to feel like a circus. There's a "Welcome to the NFL rookie" type of show on NFLNW that has a more documentary feel to it, and you can follow one player's road to making a team. It's very similar in feel, and it seems to be more focused on the journey. Hard Knocks has a more plastic feel to it I guess, for whatever reason, it just looks like there's too much stuff being embellished when those cameras are rolling.

Why Not Kick The Tires with Josh Freeman?
Homey D. Clown replied to patfitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because he's not an upgrade?? Why not bring back JP Losman to mentor the kid, or Trentative, Cap'n Checkdown, or better yet, Brandon Weeden? Because they all suck. Despite what MythBusters attempted to prove, you really can't polish a turd. -
Why Not Kick The Tires with Josh Freeman?

Fair enough... Calling my response out and being just as snarky? Childish at best. Taking up for someone then returning a jab as an example seems pretty low brow, especially if you're supposed to be a moderator. Send me an IM like a responsible leader of a community forum. Maybe the authority you possess is ill fitted for you given this reply. I honestly expected a little better from you, I generally agree with your stuff. I'm not justifying my remarks in the least, but seriously... -
What about Ralph Wilson Stadium
Homey D. Clown replied to JustinMychal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Any smart business owner would sell the naming rights to the stadium to generate more capital. That money alone exceeds any income the toronto series generated. I would love to see Ralph Wilson's name as part of the stadium's identity though, like him or not, I think he's earned that. -
Kelly is a tough son of a ---
Homey D. Clown replied to Rivermont Mike's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just read this article, and it comes as no surprise to me. Jim has become such a selfless advocate for so many things after his career, I find myself more proud of what he as accomplished since his retirement at times than what he did when he was a Bill. -
No, maybe that came off as a little attacking, I'm suggesting that's not the venue for such a thing. A retrospective look at Mr. Wilson as a major contributor to the modern day NFL would be the correct arena, God knows there's a metric crap ton of features on former Dallas coaches and players, it would be nice to see such a thing on Ralph. And I still contend that show(hard knocks) is a steaming pile of horse brownies. If I were a coach, I wouldn't want cameras all over my OTAs, training camp and preseason games. Sometimes there needs to be some fan separation, and that show takes too many exceptions to the fact that there needs to be a line somewhere.

Why Not Kick The Tires with Josh Freeman?

Kurt Warner falls into my list of QBs worthy of a thread. He won Superbowl with his previous team. Freeman did what with his last team? Fail. -
Greetings from a Browns Fan
Homey D. Clown replied to Cleveland Rocks?'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Welcome to TBD forums, I have friends who now live in Cleveland that I went to high school with, and when Cleveland lost their team, I was fortunate to meet a bunch of dog pounders when they held Cleveland day at "rich stadium". They are very similar cities in so many ways, and I used to pull for the Browns prior to the Bills rise to success. You may not find much emotional reprieve here though, LOL, as its been a while since we've seen a winning record. -
Is Stevie expendable now that we got Williams?
Homey D. Clown replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wasn't aware we were stacked with pro bowl talent at the position... -
That's not what that show is about, and wouldn't really show any daily activities Ralph ever took part in, or reminisce about during training camp and preseason, since he wasn't really involved. Plus, I loathe that stupid show to no end, and would wretch at the thought of the Bills being featured.

Why Not Kick The Tires with Josh Freeman?
Homey D. Clown replied to patfitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought someone was going to pin a thread where the title stated "insert washed up, useless nobody QB name here"... "What do we have to lose?" Are threads like these ever going to end? I could understand if it was a player with some serious success, like a peyton manning, or possibly Russel Wilson several years down the road in his career, but Josh Frickin Freeman? If anyone can site an example where some talentless nobody, never has-been ever signed with a team and became an all pro, then maybe it might be time to just lock these threads right after they're posted. -
Aaron Rogers, Peyton Manning, and Derrick Brooks, even though he is now retired. I also loved Brett Favre, nobody played the game like a kid in a sand lot more than he did. Troy Polamalu and Barry Sanders round out my short list off the top of my head. they aren't exactly top 5, but players that either left an indelible mark on the game, or played with character and intensity that I found very engaging to watch.

that's so crazy I honestly did too....

I called this months ago, citing his DB agent as the reason primarily.
