Tyreek Hill apparently arrested this morning…
Just in Atlanta replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tyreek Hill refers to himself in the first 3rd person. -

Hopefully Bills Bonds yield profit quicker than Keon Coleman runs.

I'm not worried about the offense, even though Morse is a huge loss. We're going to score a lot of points. Kincaid and Shakir will explode. Coleman looks legit. Our RB situation improved. And Allen should hit his pinnacle this year. But ... D. Poyer, Hyde, White and now Milano (again) and question marks around Von Miller. Too many losses on defense to not take a hit, at least in the first half of the season.

Dr. Google says: "It takes about 3 to 4 months for your biceps muscle to heal. You may be able to do easier daily activities in 2 to 3 weeks, as long as you don't use your injured arm. Most people who work at a desk job can return to work in 1 to 2 weeks." Put that boy to work: He can join the accounting staff next week, practice in September, and play in December.

I don't know about a lack of imagination, as one poster said, but Dorsey's schemes were too reactionary, at least for this team. If x then y and z. Too much mental processing and too much to go wrong. Either way, the offense took a huge step back under the last half of his reign. I prefer Joe Brady and how his schemes dictate, not react. I also look forward to the "no positions" philosophy that could capitalize on more competitive weaknesses. Time will tell, though.

The Army wants some money back from the UFL
Just in Atlanta replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you're tying immediate ROI to an ad campaign, you're often going to be disappointed. Further, the UFL does not seem to be.the best ad channel for late teens and early 20-somethings. Their ad agency ought to be fired for this. Also not sure how they tied the 38 enlistees to the campaign. Did they not re-enlist because of the UFL? I had no idea Russ Brandon was CEO of this league. LOL at The Rock. C'mon, man, write 3 more posts. He's probably too busy making bad video game movies. -

Twenty years ago, I ran over a cat. It thumped along the bottom of my Jeep before getting kicked to the back. I was surprised at how a 10 pound animal could make so much noise - it sounded and felt like I ran over a person. Les’s than a month later, I hit my grandfather with the Jeep, knocking him down, and throwing his back out, because he took a left instead of a right when I dropped him off. He was so quiet, I didn't even know I hit him at first. He did complain a whole lot on the way to the hospital, though.

What is your drink limit before you get behind the wheel?
Just in Atlanta replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
For some reason whenever I attend a wedding, I drink gin and tonic. I live about a mile from the battery by the way. I keep telling my wife we need to go there more often. -

Depends on how much weed is smoked. In all seriousness, it's surprising in a good way to see most of the answers teetering on one or two. Having watched many Bills games at Bills bars, that hasn't been my observation, though. For me, at 6.4/270 lbs, the drive limit if Im being honest is prob capped at 4 beers or 3 hard ones before I Uber, if I drove there. If I plan to drink, I usually will Uber. Also, for the gin haters, it makes far better martinis than vodka. -
PSA: Buffalo News subscription - beware
Just in Atlanta replied to Just in Atlanta's topic in Off the Wall
You got lucky. My account was charged $25.99 per MONTH x 2. There's a reason it's called a NEWSpaper (not an oldspaper). Bad journalist dad joke. -
Fell for the trap of $1/month to read Buff News articles on the Bills during the season two years ago. Then, did it again last season. I thought it had expired. Little did I know they were converted into two full-price subscriptions ($25.99 x 2). Guess I didn't read the fine print but thought they'd refund one subscription because who needs two of the same digital subscriptions with the same email? The call center in the Phillippines would not abide. I live in Atlanta, have never lived in Buffalo, and have no reason to read anything out of NFL season. Yeah, you have to read the fine print (and be more diligent checking your bank acct). But damn, those are some bad business dealings.

Seems to me if we enjoy his updates that much, we -- TwoBillsDrive -- can pay him a salary, even if it's $20 and he can say he's a reporter for this site. Other employees of TBD include: Scott Sarama: Administrator \GoBillsInDallas/: Article Researcher Rockpile: Historian Nervous Guy: Global Moderator and Senior Advisor Simon: Global Moderator AIO: Global Moderator Alaska Darin: Forum Moderator Just Jack: Forum Moderator TBD had advertising to pay for operations. And it has a circulation - TBD members aka circulation: 22k Batvia Daily News circulation: 7,800 Certainly, the readership here is higher than most small town daily newspapers, which likely get press credentials. Astro's reporting is far more informative than anything we could get from the credentialed press.

Diggs was no longer the focus point of the new OC and that makes him upset. And his frustrations with the playoff losses — he was no hero in them either — went way too far and caused the team harm and made him look like a head case. Having said that, despite his late season drop-off, I don’t think he’s lost much of a step. He was fun while it lasted but it’s time to move on.
-
They replaced the “Slow children at play” signs with pictures of Keon Coleman. Works like a charm.
-
Keon Coleman took speed once. It didn’t work.
-
Diggs is a generational talent but he had to go. Also, many Superbowl winners don't have a true No. 1 receiver. They spread the ball, which our current OC is focused on. Losing Diggs should hurt, at least until Coleman officially arrives. Davis' departure is irrelevant. Coleman looks promising - above average vs press coverage and appears to have a good attitude and a likeable personality. Overall, the receiver room looks at least the same in production potential. I don't think it will be worse. But I'd be pleasantly surprised if it were better.

Logic: Punters don't win playoff games. My psychosis: Somehow, he'll find a way when we play them next January.
