  1. I drink my coffee black. My wife has milk and sugar. Every morning she stirs her coffee with a spoon, takes it out of the mug and sets it on the counter top. After a few days of this, I notice small beads of coagulated sugery varnish on the counter...some slightly raised or crystalized...so I wipe them off. But my wife is the greatest...I'm a lucky guy (blessed).
  2. I think he was already named BenRuss best dressed two different weeks this year. Typical Gugny...never satisfied.
  3. I guarantee if he shaved that porn-stache he'd win 14 games next season.
  4. I'm with you to a certain extent. The main goal of this thread is to explore the possibility of Rex Ryan as a GM of the Buffalo Bills based on two criteria: 1) He is generally not well liked by the majority of the fans (and media) as a head coach... for better or for worse. Some may argue that he hasn't been given the tools (CB's, QB, etc.) and others may argue he isn't a bonafide "gameday" coach on the sidelines; 2) He is generally well liked and would attract talent to the team based on his connections and experience. With these two thoughts in mind, I see Rex as a person who could negotiate contracts with players and agents and still assemble a team around him (front office and players alike) who want to succeed, who want to make the playoffs, who don't feel they are entitled to just "go through the motions" like Dareus, Watkins and Gilmore. It would get him off the field and behind the scenes where I think he would blossom.
  5. .500 or better in each of the past two seasons puts us in an exclusive club? If so, imagine what Rex (as coach) could have done if he had the right horses in the barn? Doug is the one who put this team of mules together...Rex is just playing the hand he was dealt.
  6. My apologies...sometimes it just happens. I've grown numb to this team.
  7. If the Bills beat the Steelers they are three games (Ravens, Jets and Raiders) too late.
  8. Just a comparison to the post by Nihilarian where he said Rex's drafting was bad. It's a poor argument because much more goes into being a GM than drafting..."team building" is the core duty of a GM. IMO, Rex would succeed.
  9. First Round Picks are always subject to dispute. See also Aaron Maybin, EJ Manuel, Stephanie Gilmore, and Sammy Watkins (1st Round x 2)
  10. For all the criticism he gets and the "fire him now" comments....all of it is attributable to his running an outdated defense and being somewhat aloof as it relates to in-game decision making. Those are not his skill sets. Player interaction, talking with people, finding the proverbial "diamond in the rough", and evaluation of talent are his strong suits. Whaley seems to have faltered IMO. Rex deserves a shot...he'll select an able bodied coach, stock the team with bullies and let them do the hard work on the field while he handles the less important matters like contracts and scouting. EDIT: I don't mean to say "less important"...but less visible tasks to fans like us.
  11. It's outside the box thinking.
  12. Pros: 1) He has the Pegulas ear(s)...they like him. 2) Has been involved in an assortment of positions in the NFL. 3) He knows all the "players" (coaches, agents, players, colleges, etc) 4) It would take him off the sideline as a coach 5) Intelligence 6) Respected in NFL circles 7) Can identify talent (Ed Reed, Mo Wilkerson, Ivory, Mo Lewis, etc.) 8) Can work with others and plays his cards close to the vest. 9) It would take him off the sidelines as a coach x2 10) *add your own thoughts*
  13. Did Mrags grow dreadlocks after his latest trip?
  14. Gugny makes a valiant attempt at wooing the waitresses but he always seems to fall short.

  16. I'm confused. Am I dumb because you're smarter than me or dumb because I didn't read your WRITTEN words correctly where you called me the worst fan? Please help me understand.
  17. I said you're a "dreamer"...if that hurt your feelings or (in some way) de-balled your otherwise masculine persona, I apologize. You must be a true fan. Please understand others here can be fans and still doubt we will make the playoffs. Perhaps you should refrain from categorizing such fans as "the worst" you numbskull.
  18. (In my best "ESPN 30 for 30" voice) What if I told you there was a football fan who followed the Buffalo Bills since 1972...a young boy growing up in the southtowns of Buffalo whose hero was Joe Ferguson...this young boy would follow his team for the next 40 years through 2-14 seasons and through heartbreaking Superbowl losses. Despite losing both legs in a corn combine accident, his right arm due to overuse, and a uncontrollable backhair problem, he continued on this journey only to be called the worst kind of person. What if I told you he doesn't really care what they say...he is still a fan. ESPN's newest "30 for 30" this Friday at 9pm...."Fergy's Safe Space...the Life and Times of a Two Bills Drive fan".
  19. That was Rex's payback for all the glory days in Baltimore.
  20. Ed Reed is the Goat
  21. This is disturbing.Think of all the schools that could be built, libraries, infrastructure and "get out the vote" campaigns they could have funded with these tax dollars. They built a small city all in the name of national defense (against aliens both home and abroad).
