  1. Stretches, I would do them at my desk at work a couple times per day. It still took me a few months to get full mobility back. But strength took a lot of time after that.
  2. Sorry, I was talking about the daily practice report.
  3. The injury report will let us know. He can’t just practice in 48 hours and then secretly be the starter on Sunday.
  4. This game is a Vegas nightmare. I was looking around today, I’ve seen everything from Buffalo -2.5 to +3 and everything in between. You can basically play whatever spread you want, just need to pick the right bookie.
  5. Let’s just say Thanksgiving is awkward now.
  6. I would assume that would be determined by passing through concussion protocol quickly. Make no mistake 5 days is absolutely FLYING through concussion protocol. You nor I could get a doctor to clear us to play bar league kickball in 5 days let alone play in the NFL if we even so much as hinted at a concussion. There is nothing physiologically gifted about NFL players that allows their brain to heal at some rapid pace compared to soccer, hockey, rugby, etc. NFL concussion protocol is an absolute joke and a very real danger to the health of all of its players. I say that knowing that Josh cleared protocols in a week as well. That shouldn’t be allowed. But this isn’t a merry go round, you can’t just enter or exit when it feels like it doesn’t fit. The only exit is passing protocol.
  7. Assuming that Mahomes can only pass one stage at a time/per day, Mahomes can’t practice until Friday. There is no “normal” for the Chiefs this week.
  8. I pinched my ulnar nerve sleeping once. I lost almost complete use of my entire right hand, and totally lost all feeling and motor skills in my middle, ring, and pinky finger. It took months to get it all back. Which was especially frustrating as a righty.
  9. We keep reading about average time for players 19 days, and 7 days for QBs (which is absolutely wild btw). But the NFL does not give any actual time table for the protocols, which is both not surprising and surprising at the same time. All the league says is you have to run through each step and can't skip any steps. You would think that given the 5 step process, any step should come no sooner than 24 hours, right? Or could a player clear phase 2 and 3 on the same day? When I lived at the Olympic Training Center rule of thumb was basically to take inventory two days later after adding activity. So when I broke my rib, I biked a lot and did all my core work. But when I added running, I would go run and it was OK to be a little sore that day or the next, but it was day 2 post activity that was important. You had to be 100% on day 2. That would indicate that any soreness was something that my body was not overcoming with standard rest, ice, and some time on the physio table. It was an actual set back and you would have to shut back down for a bit.
  10. At the risk of diving much too far down the rabbit hole...and also being wrong... I think that your GP has a larger legal and ethical responsibility to the overall well being of the patient than a consultant does (outside of an actual hospital setting). So yes, if Mahomes GP came out and said he is healthy enough to play there would be ample weight behind that, because the GP is beholden to Mahomes actual well being. But no GP would ever come out and say that their patient is OK to play 7 days post concussion, because they aren't. There is a reason that there are lots of waivers involved. The seal of approval to come back post concussion and play in the NFL is basically "well you probably wouldn't die on the field".
  11. I took off this upcoming Monday and SB Monday 2 months ago just in case.
  12. Mahomes will play. Remember Tom Savage basically had a seizure on the field...in front of a ref...then came back into the game before being pulled... That is the NFL concussion protocol at work. Also, guys like Tim Connolly or Sydney Crosby miss months and months at a time with concussions. Has there ever been an NFL player who have missed 2 months of play due to concussion? It is performative. Or at best it is like going to the ER with chest pains. Run a bunch of tests, tell you to go home, rest, get with your GP,see a specialist, and you are not in any immediate danger of dying. But that isn't a clean bill of health by any stretch.
  13. Andy Reid just said Mahomes just had the wind knocked out of him. I wouldn’t be so quick to assume coach is going to be so altruistic.
  14. As much as I would like a home AFCCG, I don’t love us against the power run. So I’ll take a Mahomesless Chiefs on the road.
  15. Even if the Chiefs hold on and he does, he won’t practice until like Thursday at the earliest.
  16. What I love most about this play is that it’s Lamars first ever red zone pick!
  17. Well shirt. Between Herbert and 2 Buffalo guys, it would be like the Bills 2.0 down there
  18. Diggs, Brown, Beasley, Davis, McKenzie, Robert’s doubles as 6 and KR/PR....
  19. Ah yeah, I forgot about that. I was just looking for a clean single source for their spreads so grabbed that from here. https://www.thelines.com/odds/baltimore-ravens/
  20. It was in Baltimore so they got a bit of help. It was Ravens -1. Depending on where you placed that bet, you might have found somebody to take the game at KC -1. I just checked a single source. It was not up to date with the WC or Cincy, but I dig that up on my own. https://www.thelines.com/odds/baltimore-ravens/
  21. Just checked, this is actually the first time that the Ravens are not the favorite all season long. They have been on a 17 game run until now.
  22. I agree here. But I’ll add on. Beasley was clearly hobbled against Indy. I’m glad he was able to go, but if he isn’t working, we have to open to trying to give some of his touches to McK who is a serviceable replacement.
  23. In the little I’ve watched if the Ravens this year, just a couple of games, I am less concerned with the run v. the pass and more concerned with where they get their yards. If the Bills can be stingy between the hash marks, I think Lamar has some difficulty throwing outside the numbers. He’s going to get his yards, you sort of have to concede that. But outside the hash seems like a weak spot. Just the eye test. I have nothing to back that up.
  24. Quick, somebody sign Rex Grossman! He has had the playbook for like a day. Maybe we don't rush the dude out there to protect JA against a blitz happy Baltimore team. Could he be productive? Maybe, maybe not. Is he an upgrade? We are all just guessing really. But the odds are not in his favor given his downward trend, age, and length of time with the playbook he would be running. This! I think if we are in a position where Freeman is seeing significant carries we are in a bad place.
