Super curious what limited means, when your HC comes out and says QB1 "took all the snaps in practice". Also, if you hold a "limited practice" for everybody, but QB1 does all of it, was he still "limited"? https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/01/20/andy-reid-patrick-mahomes-took-all-the-snaps-in-practice-and-feels-good/

I thought about that already. I am not sure it makes a huge difference. Any Reid was quoted today as saying "Mahomes took all the snaps" If I am Buffalo, I would run with that as enough. Prep for Mahomes and call it a day. And based on McD's comments about prepping for the system, I don't think this is a huge worry either way. If KC's offense beats us, it won't be because we weren't sure who would play QB. On the same topic, I think the NFL concussion protocol is a joke. If a team physician and/or training staff OK'd a QB to run full practice, classroom, video, etc. work for an entire week, then got declined by an independent neurologist, there should be major consequences for that franchise and the med/training/coaching staff. They have actually put somebody in very real danger for long term issues. Getting hit again isn't the only danger. Even for HS kids, going back to school, reading textbooks, sitting under classroom lights, etc. can be dangerous for long term brain health. Players shouldn't be allowed to play professional football 7 days after seeing stars like we see the QB position do all the time. 2 week minimum for all players should be standard. And that is before you can start practicing. That goes for our own Josh just a season or two ago as well. Hell, none of us could get cleared to go play bar league kick ball 7 days after a concussion, let alone try and not get tackled by the biggest, fastest, and strongest humans on the planet.

Allen... does he have the Jordan killer instinct?

Now here is a message board topic. Who was better? Jordan at Basketball or Gretzky at Hockey? @BADOLBILZ, I need you to jump in before I chew off my finger nails! -

Taking a deep breath is not some “nancy” or “nail chewing” anxiety. It’s stop trying to compare a 3rd year QB to the greatest player of all time in possibly every sport.Take a deep breath, calm down, enjoy the ride, and stop with one of the worst takes ever. And no. Don’t discuss this topic Monday either. Because it’s stupid and ignorant. Not because I am nervous, or because 1 KC game means that we can start calling Allen the MJ of NFL QB’s. Just to note “Nancy” I’ve won a handful of national championships, so maybe you might want to stay in your lane on nervousness and sports... -

I have no idea how or why I keep getting misrepresented here. I just said we should take a deep breath and get through the weekend. The deep breath is because the take is a really bad one. Comparing Allen in year 3, especially after how he performed in years 1 and 2, to probably the most transcendent player in all of sports history is so incredibly stupid (at least to this point) So yes, we should pump the breaks, take a deep breath, and get through the weekend. -
Buffalo Bills vs Chiefs who's going

No sorry. 3k was the most we would have been willing to pay. Had we looked say a month ago, we might have been able to make it work. But not now. -

I have been thinking the same thing. I would absolutely LOVE Brady in the Super Bowl. It is my preferred scenario. My friends and family all think I am bonkers for feeling that way. Buffalo beating Brady would be so cathartic for the city and a perfect way to pass the torch to the Bills going forward.

Tre White is a national treasure. We keep asking "when is Josh getting a national commercial?". Put Tre on that list, he deserves it as a high profile dude on what is turning into a high profile team.

Weather is the Bills kryptonite....
Mango replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You know you can like, use the internet, and just like, go back and find this stuff out. Wind was 5mph against the Chiefs, and the guy in the red jersey playing QB completed literally 80% of his passes. -

Mango replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
KC was not bad weather. There was a mist for about about 5 minutes then it dried up. Mahomes was 21/26. You can’t call weather a factor when the other guy competed passes at a clip of 80%. For TN I checked the weather for the classic 5pm, Wednesday night match up. The high was like 85, zero rain, and about 3mph winds and 70 degrees during the game. I get it, Allen had some clunkers for a stretch, and we would assume better production out of such a strong armed QB in weather than we have have gotten. But largely he has played VERY WELL all year. Bad games happen. We can’t just look back and go “bad game weather must have been bad” because that isn’t true. It’s foolish. -
Buffalo Bills vs Chiefs who's going

If the Bills made the Super Bowl we were considering up to 3k per ticket. It’s a bug stretch for us, but figured it was worth it as a one time expense. We don’t ever spend that much on anything and don’t go on a ton of trips. We could have done that a few weeks ago. Even the other day they were at 5k and today they’re at 8k. It’s wild. My SO’s family lives in Tampa. I have enough points to fly us there and back for free. -

103...big spender! We looked into it this week. We couldn’t find enough friends to get to the 6 person group that was in our price point. We have a price point for the SB but we should have looked about 3 weeks ago. It’s about double that at the moment. Long and short, if anybody knows anybody, well take some Super Bowl tickets. Ha -
So I have been looking for clarification on that, but have not seen it anywhere. Were you able to dig that up? With any other injury that is the way they would do it. Nobody would load you up with 3 different stressors and hope for the best the next day. So hoping they wouldn't do that with a players noggin. But I get the sense that they might run through multiple stages per day. Especially since the neurologist does not come in until stage 5. I am 99.999% sure he is playing, and that actually cures most of my anxiety about this game. Just get rid of the unknown. Just about every sportsbook streamlined their spread to KC -3 today. They are locking in that Mahomes is playing. Yesterday you could place a bet anywhere from Buffalo -2.5 to KC -3.5.
-
I was about 95% Mahomes would play because NFL (not actual health). But yesterday the spread was all over the place, you could place a bet at BUF -2.5 with one sportsbook and KC -3.5 on another. Everybody is locked in at KC -3 today. I would take that and run with it and Mahomes is 99.999999% playing on Sunday.

But like, what if he posts pictures of donations online? -
I have asked the same thing. I think you can go through multiple steps in a day. Which I honestly don't understand. Rule of thumb at the Olympic Training Center for (non head) injuries was always check back 48 hours after adding activity. So say I broke my rib (I did), and feel good enough to add running. The best gauge for soreness was day 2 not the next day. So why in hell any player (Josh included) can scramble their eggs and on Sunday, and go through a rest, aerobic work, and balance drills, 3 different steps, in a single day is absolutely wild. It doesn't make any sense. The league is literally helping to kill these guys. It is pretty infuriating.

The Saints will be almost $100M over the salary cap next year!
Mango replied to Doc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think part of the way they’ve made their cap work over the years is they basically have a dead year after Brees retires where they eat $10m still. But that assumed he retired after his contract was up. I don’t know what happens when he retires early.
