This is one thing that drives me nuts about the league these days. Not that it used to be good at that stuff. But I don’t understand why there isn’t more requirements for the players to be in the facility. I mean; I get the CBA. But larger roster sizes and getting everybody in the building June 1 for 20-30 hours per week of walk throughs, technique, body maintenance; and film review would do so much to increase the product on the field.

This is almost exactly how I met Trent Edwards parents. I was in line for a Bills game. It was Trent’s rookie year and hadn’t started yet. There was a nice couple in their 50’s behind me. But I was the opposite of you. I immediately asked if they were his parents. Who else would have the 2nd string, 3rd round rookie jersey on like week2. We had a good laugh over it. Nice people. Should have asked them what Dakota Fanning is like in person.

Just thinking about how cool this is for some for these guys. This is likely the only/last time a lot of these guys get their name on an NFL jersey or take a snap in any capacity for an NFL franchise. And there are 20k people in a tie game. It’s a cool moment with 3 minutes to go.

What does Crowder bring as slot depth that isn’t already on the roster between Shakir, Cook, McKenzie, and Hodgins? It’s unfortunate for him. But our depth inside is really good. Run with the young guys as backups for the future rather than the vet on a one year deal trying to get paid next year.

I am not high on Austin or Stevenson....like at all. My thinking was that between McKenzie, Cook, Shakir, Hodgins, and to an extent Knox, they have all the skill sets they could ever need to play inside at this point. So where does Crowder fit in? I sort of said that thinking the Bills only keep 6. But they will keep more, so in that case he is likely still here.
