  1. again, all those wishing dareus inside read the OP
  2. So every report says moving Dareus inside was why the defense did so much better. So let me get this straight, Dareus is a good pass rusher, but pass-rushes better from the middle with a double team? And so not having a pro bowl williams to eat up said double team also makes him better? I think it was more of a lackluster redskin line combined with their need to pass often being behind most of the game. That and the time Beck took to read the defense and good coverages. Saying Dareus plays better as a Nose takle vs a D-end doesnt make sense, dont good pass rushers play better outside? would Bruce have played better in the middle and gotten more sacks? This reminds me of the time Josh reed got hurt and we started losing at the same time, everyone said it was the loss of reed, later we found out Losman and the Bills just plain sucked. It was a good game for all pass rushers, so why were they all better? did they all move positions? Ps- I know nose tackles have a half second advantage over the center but doesnt the duble team negate that?
  3. dumb, did you not see all the deep balls he threw last year and 2009! but now his arm is weak?
  4. whatever....nice analysis , the guy threw a couple soft balls on purpose- he thought he had stevie easily. hes thrown much deeper many times in the past. he also was under no pressure on either throw, as he threw them right after the snap. both the op and you barbarian are way off. those balls were 20 yarders thrown almost on a line. he needed to throw 30 yards on more of an arc, thats all
  5. loyd makes spectacular catches, something donald hasnt ever done (so far) and stevie sort of does, nelson is not a starter on the outside, hes not quick enough, this leaves us really needing brandon who can also go deep. That being said, id take him for that reason alone for a fourth.... I know a player whos is also 30, faster than loyd and can go deep better than anyone. If only we had this guy, we would be set right now...I think his name is Lee something. Id give a fourth for this guy right now.
  6. jones has potential because he is just alright to begin with- lee was already great=little potential, jones knocked a ball down,nice- lee would have caught said ball easily, jones dropped passes, lee dropped maybe 5 in 5 years and made unbelievable deep catches that won many games. have you ever seen a bills game before last year?
  7. wow! it amazes me that people think this! Did they see one game from that season? Did they see espn highlights only? TO absolutely sucked in his stint here, he dropped many passes, gave up on several more, allowed picks off balls that he didnt fight for, didnt run block well either....then caught a few deep ones and ya we won those games but not the other 10 that he helped us lose.
  8. as a commentator I predict his analysis would be somewhat shallow and short sighted. Also he would often defer to the nearest colleague at his side without ever looking deep into the issue. this being said, espn would still fire whomever is ahead of him on their staff and entrust him as head anchor for 3 years as rating fell precipitously.
  9. maybe because he was a total fraud and could care so little about the fans that he never once played a game where he went deep, or even down the middle for that matter, just kept dumpin it off and pretending to look downfield and then saying,"we called those plays, they just werent there." ya they were never there w trent, niether were touchdowns or wins for that matter.
  10. ub2sf, you are in my "understands football" club Ub2Sf you are now part of my "understands football" club I totally agree. we actually lost all those close three point games last year for the same reason. Fitz often throws the fade on third and short and rarely connects. I often dvr games and see guys WIDE open, I mean OPEN, right at or behind the marker and he ignores them and throws deep. I cant understand why he does this so much. These plays should be save for second and short or first downs.
  11. Hi, are you 12 years old? do you know how to look past or into the stats beyond the most obvious conclusion? They are an average O=line but Fitz is extremely quick at getting rid of the ball. He knows the open receiver before the ball is snapped most of the time, had it been edwards we would be 0-3 now having scored maybe 1 td and 3 fg's with 10 sacks and 5 picks. they are not "good" they are not bad either like they looked whenever edwards was back there holding the ball way too long. They have always been average, at least the three who have been around for a few years now.
  12. again, this isnt your moms' (trents) bills team. we have a actual man at qb. we also beat bad teams to go 5-1, not the pats raiders and another playoff team. also we were 5-1 with no passes downfield, i think fitz has thrown more downfield passes in three games so far than dicwards threw in his whole career
  13. no we's dont, we is barely good enough at wr, one more injury and we is screwed. donald jones be dropin passes once or twice a game. Nelson be ballin though, yo.
  14. I think we're seeing 'more complete' players versus guys who do 'one' thing like 'have a great first step' brought in...it's a lot like the what the Patriots do.. more complete like when donald jones let the ball go through his hands causing an int???, i remember evans being the sole difference in alot of wins throughout the years. why cant people accept that evans played hard but had a terrible coach and qb for almost his entire career? this line of thinking is without logic and totally retarded
  15. I think those who say "oh we were 5-1 before and look what happened" are forgetting a huge difference. 1.Those were all wins against pathetic teams and we needed to come back in most of those games to barely win. Most scores were by running backs or weird plays..remember the morman to moorman connection...no? well anyways. That was when throwing to a running back was new and inventive, teams didnt yet realize that was all lil' trent could do. 2. We also dont have a QB who when we were 5-1 said "who knows...this could all come crashing down". This year we played a bad team at their crib and demolished them, then we beat a good team at home in comeback fashion when we should have been completely out of it. down 21-3!! edwards could rarely score more than 3. We are still healthy, parrish being out is almost a good thing since naamans back, and fitz is getting better every game. If we still have a weakness ill say it here and now...pass rush I think without evans we may still have some problems, the raiders never really played up close or pressed, if a team does, who will beat someone deep? Nelson? Chandler? Stevie is not fast...hes slippery and good but not fast. Now that easley and parrish are gone, it looks real dumb to have let our best stater go on purpose. ps, donald is also not fast. and even if he was, lets see him cath a few 70 yarders like old Mr. Evans made look so easy.
  16. Ill admit I was right. I said they would be much better and listed reasons. I wanted fitzy in since 3 years ago and cant believe how many people wanted edwards and ripped fitz, I was banned under my old name for ripping edwards and promoting fitz in fact. Now hes the franchise qb after 2 games? ok you all said it. hes good, id still look for a good qb in the next few drafts though, maybe we could develop and trade one every year like teams did to us with RJ and Bledsoe.
  17. ya like how lee evans was consistant in catching deep balls everytime and disciplined in not getting in legal trouble or talking smack about buffalos lame offenses, when donald duck drops his first second and third deep ball...or cant even get to them, maybe then we will just all just be happy he can "go over the middle" woop dee freakin dooo
  18. wow your right! (roll eyes) willis is nearly finished, and he only played 8 years as an nfl running back with a nice bunch of stats. most rb's last 2-3 years and some 5-6, but what this has to do for lee evans i have no idea. Lee did do better as a 2, but who wouldnt if you have a great 1 also who can withstand big hits (bouldin, moulds) and let your deep threat be a deep threat.
  19. ya right, im sure he "dropped" them a drop is when it hits both hands and should have been a catch, not a ball you can barely get one finger on or a highly contested ball with a db in your face. YOu must hate evans and I agree it was a big reason the ravens did well.
  20. wow, its amazing how clueless some are on this board, trent had a very weak "throw" his arm looked strong but he only used his forearm while throwing and never developed an over the shoulder motion. This is partly why he completely sucked...when even trying to go deep, the motion didnt have the necessary power and he would force the throw with a high powered "wrist flick" that had lttle accuracy when overdone. His long ball always looked like a long fade route type throw and I never once saw edwards rear back and heave one, and I know noone else has either, because it didnt exist. Like his fear of taking chances down the field, he also had a fear to throw like a man. Strong or not physically, his motion gave him a quick but very weak throw. fitz has average power but drops his head to the side when he chucks it which makes him look like he "has" to put his whole body into it, this i believe is really to add velocity, not distance, since he often throws deep and mid range balls with good power and little effort flutie used his little arm and body for all it was worth, so much nicer to see a man use his potential rather than hide from it like a scared little girl (edwards)
  21. anyone know how to make the pictures show up bigger?
