  1. ref "nice offence, who was your last coordinator again?" Hailey-"is that a turtle head?" bonus Gailey- " OK ill give you dareus for a 4rth round pick...um ok a fifth round... ok fine a sixth, hey wait!" Hailey- " I still make more money than you "
  2. ill still take 1 fitz and a side of dareus thank you
  3. ya why have a deep threat right,We will never be behind and need a quick score! oh and donald jones had a whole 3 yards receiving. Ummmm we killed the cheifs in every phase and it was one game. I really wish we still had Lee and people who think one game means anything are probably the same people who also said that fitz sucked for a year and a half on this board. some baltimore writers already wrote that lee was targeted just 4 times and helped pull safeties and coverages away from the intermediate level, and ummmm their other receivers did to do well today. but if it makes you all feel better....go donald jones yea 3 yards whooo hoooo, who needs a deep threat.
  4. i remember bill books too, number 80, great receiver in 94-95 everyone else went down, slow but awesome hands.
  5. ok so you attack my "assumption" about someone " i dont know personally" by making a much bigger one about me and then saying Im insane? Nice, im not "so wrapped up in a game" any more than anyone else here. Its why we all post and read here. You try to blame management but I blame a guy who was told time and again what was expected and he kept not doing it. Oh and I did watch him for 3 years and listen to him speak publicly...so in a way i saw and knew alot about him. He was worried about his hair during football interviews on many occasions, he showed in game he couldnt hack simple situations and he himself knew, he couldnt risk taking chances because his skills werent good enough. He tricked the coaches and management by pretending not to see the open guy and instead checking down. Oh he tried a few times but it was almost always a pick. SO he quit. I do blame the management also but the post isnt about management. Im more upset with people here though who keep making excuses for him. I dont wish trent the best, he was a fraud. I wish Evans the best, I wish almost all ex bills the best, but not rob johnson who refused to throw the ball away in order to boost his rating, and not trent who refused to look downfield. I mean, it was his job and he was paid millions and he had millions watching and depending on him. He let us all down and people like you cant say enough to defend him. Then you go and attack me because I state the facts, defend my points and disagree with you. I guess anyone who defends trent would be a hypocrite and lack basic logic and reasoning skills.
  6. JESUS! can those of you who still say things like this grow up and start accepting fact logic and reasoning instead of perpetuating this garbage? I dont wish trent well at all. ignoring the "hit" (more like a tackle) and all the excuses for his poor play (fitzy had the same team and excelled) theres the issue of heartless and cluelessness that trent displayed which ruined two years of football for all of us. When trent continued to dump off on fourth downs, or huge third downs, that said it all. HE DIDNT CARE. He never cared about the situation. It was always "can I dump it to Fred?" and when he couldnt...sack....throw away....roll out like a high school qb and run out of bounds. WHen I watched a few post game interviews I saw it all...a guy fixing his hair during the interview, shifty eyes darting around, afraid to make direct eye contact...talking in the same introverted sheepish voice spouting the same thing every time,"i care, i care you guys dont realize how much I care." Really then why did you dump off again on 3rd and 15? Guy was a weirdo and had a losers mentality. When they were 4-0 do you all know what he said on tv? "this could all come crashing down, we might not win anther game" I thought "WTF? why would he say that?"...then i understood. When they were 4-0 I thought, "wheres the deep ball....or the mid range ball for that matter. All he does is throw 5 yard outs and curls and dump offs." I actually was amazed we were 4-0 because we really had no offense. Check stats. Trent sucked in all those games but didnt blow any. HArd to blow a game where you take 0 chances because you are gutless. Remember how everyone clamored in the losman era for "more involvment of the running backs in the passing game"? trent was doing that exclusively and it worked for a while. our first game we lost with trent that year, (miami) trent actually threw a td, marshawn caught a 5 yarder , broke 3 or 4 tackles and walked in. And that was that, miami shut down the RB's and the next teams followed suit. Trents game was finished, but then the excuse makers started, they said "its because Josh reed is out" oh so now Reed was our savior. Another reason trent was popular was the washington comeback game. On the last play he threw a nice long pass to Royal. We won, problem was that pass was an overthrow meant for Reed. Royal just happened to pass by and it fell into his arms. Dont believe it? just think how many times trent did try to go deep over the middle or up the seem, almost everytime was either an overthrow and/or a pick. ALl of our horrible loses over the last few years were a TE game...Monday night cleveland, 3 int's and all dump offs from there and we barely lose... monday night dallas, all dump offs, lose on a five yard out int (cant throw over the middle now can we trenty)... monday night new england, all screen pass and 5 yarders ( ok that was the D but trent didnt light it up either) cleveland blizzard game lose 8-0 hmmmm, thanks for those dump offs trent, 6-3 home game, cleveland wins with two total completions, hard to overcome 6 points..if youre trent. Please please please grow up and stop talking like social workers in africa. Trent doesnt need your support, he got payed millions of dollars, got tons of exposure and got to be an nfl qb on the only team stupid enough to give losers such prolonged starting opportunities(rob johnson, losman, trenty) I spend my time writing this because its sad to see people cling to happy thoughts. The truth was we had a little boy who found a way to scam all of us by playing it safe. when it came time to do the right thing trenty never did, he never improved he never yelled out and said, F this Im going deep. He was called out by literally millions and answered with a dump off pass to fred jackson....jesus. when will the rest of you stop blaming evrything in the book besides him? the "hit" wasnt even that bad, and how did he have his best game ever as a bill, right after it? trent can go to hell
  7. and no, he had a bad preseason, a worse camp, and what good coach would use 1 mediocre at best preseason when the loser had tape from three real seasons worth of football. Everyone knew it was over when Trent showed hundreds of times...he had not guts. We all were positive he would be cut, then gailey arrogantly thought "I can fix him" and then realized what we all already knew. All except the small group on this board who make every excuse in the book for a true loser... 1. coaching 2. oline 3. the concussion 4. no help at receiver 5. buffalo in general while all these things may or may not have contributed, why did Fitzpatrick do well with all the same variables? minus the concussion it was obvious the problem was trent. And I say again trent sucked before the concussion and had his best game as a bill after the concussion.
  8. I wish people would stop blaming "the hit" lots of people get hit in football, trent was a douche before that and was just lucky people were used to deep ball losman and hadnt clued into the fact that trent would always check down. Trent never threw down the middle before or after the "hit" and became a true pu ssy in the browns game after 3 early int's. thats when he lost whatever tiny tiny amount of confidence/balls he had. Trent always sucked its just opposing D's were used to losman, period. Lets be happy for him that hes in the san francisco area now with his "own kind". After hes cut he can follow his dream...opening a flower shop and visiting the local bars there.
  9. wow thanks for your feedback, well stated, and why is it ridiculous to say playoffs in two years? whats your prediction then? OrR are you just mad that trents gone, or that we didnt get Cammy?
  10. easley is so good they should trade steve jackson right now for a fourth
  11. I say James Hardy, he always bends his routes instead of making a sharp cut.
  12. I was thinking about all the horrible 1st round picks we've had the last 10 years or so, starting with Mike Williams and I realized something. At this point wondering what "could've been" in those drafts has long since lost significance. The results have come around full circle and actually have put us in quite a nice position. Basically, Had we hit on another guy besides a williams a losman or a Mcargo, we would have maybe had a playoff appearance or two, but hey, we picked Williams Losman and Mcargo. So we got 7-9 records a new coach a Wood a Mckelvin and a Spiller. Either way, those busts all old now and even the guys we could have picked are old too or getting there. Heck the only solid pick we had, Evans in 2004 is 30 and alot of you here were saying how hes old. even the most recent bust, maybin, led us to once again address the D and pass rush which forced the FO to gamble on Merriman and to draft Dareus. Both of whom look awesome, especially Dareus. Now regarding Dareus, I think we all know if we had won just one more game last year we would have picked 4rth or worse and not gotten him, and had we lost just two more games we would have drafted first and picked future bust cam newton. Right now wed all be saying "bust bust bust" and worrying about why Cam is playing like crap. SO in my opinion, our limited talent and crappy roster got us just the right amount of wins to land Dareus. That being said last season was my favorite in the last 5 or 6 years, ya we sucked record wise, but i enjoyed nearly every game (for 3 and a half quarters or so!) and at least we beat the Dolphins.(didnt we?) Sure we can still talk about Lynch Maybin Mckelvin and Spiller but no matter how you slice it, the losers are all gone and here we are with at least a couple decent players and Dareus. You can all give up the dream of getting Luck. We won four games last year with a much weaker defense and trent (limp wrist) turdwards wasting the first two games. Hes where he belongs now(san fran area) and we are going to win 8 or more games this year, I say 9. Timely sacks make a huge difference, remember 95 and bryce paups affect? This is the year we almost make it, and next year after we draft a good LT we'll be talking playoffs. Go Bills!
  13. No, your habe something wrong with you!
  14. the white looks lame, should have stuck with red and i miss the red sock thingys too.
  15. you know! steve jackson, our best receiver since they traded away leo evans! I just hope fitzgibbons can develop the same chemistry with him that he had with leo. It will be like the old days with drew rosenhaus and eric mulder, or maybe even like good old#12 jim kelway and #83 andres galaraga.
  16. billsfan..none of the things you mention equal a guy with deep speed and excellent hands. If lee is 30, ok. but he showed in baltimore already he still has supreme speed. how long did lofton play? how old was he when we ADDED him to our team? Donald jones, easley and nelson are all slow to average and thats not even talking about there hands. Lee was a first rounder with obvious talent, now we are HOPING that donald jones will "develop" into what? a good receiver with average speed? Or namman rosevelt maybe? Lets face it. SOme idiot at one bills drive has no clue and traded away our best player. I think he reads this forum and doesnt really understand football. Maybe its the same guy who though we needed a red zone target (hardy) or a run stopper (stroud) or a linebacker who makes tackles at the line of scrimmage (poz) or a better running back (Lynch,Spiller) how about we stop giving away first round, good proven players (Spikes,Mcgahee,Lynch,Evans) for 3 and 4th round garbage picks.
  17. great post, really. the A holes here who screamed for an evans trade for 3 years will now rip your post. I guess they arent smart enough to realize trent edwards not only ruined 3 seasons for us but also destroyed evans' stats enough for less intelligent people to demand him to be traded. I wonder if people realize how much trent turdwards really set this franchise back. go evans!
  18. Ya! he played so good when he was here, he only dropped 2 -3 balls a game, gave up on many others, and cost 8million. why dont we trade a 4rth for lee evans ,, hes pretty good...oh why not just play easley or some other rookie, they can drop balls too like TO but for less money. GET REAL, guys thaT thought TO played good dont understand football. there should be a board for... guys who liked TO guys who defended Trentative guys who wanted Evans traded I bet they are all the same people.
  19. no lol i hated the old ones at first and never liked the weirdness to them, but compared to this new one they look a little tougher, i like the font/shape of the numbers and that red stands out more.and again i loved the all white throw backs with the red buffalo even though at the time i wanted a charging one. Now that i have what i thought iwanted...it just looks like a mess of stripes, no real design breakthrough, just the old logo with a bunch of stripes everywhere,oh and an ingenious detail on the back where it reads "bills" and then-more white. I know ill take flak on this but when when the dolphins(oh ya i went there) went all white in the 90's i was very jealous, and i loved our old 90's all whites the best but somehow these just look tacky with all the fat striping everywhere and the gay widening stripe on the back. I just keep staring at that and thinking "why?" I would have kept the old ones and made small adjustments like changing the pant stripes and stupid blocky shoulders. oh and to all you haters, why cant i talk coulda should w unis when all day all people do here is talk coulda woulda re the draft, playcalls, free agents etc.????
  20. I thought i would like it but after watching two games i started to realize...i hate it. First thing is the way the helmet stripe fattens out in the back. Second...too many big stripes ont the jersey but nothing that stands out, just thick stripes, red and blue. wow. Lastly, I really miss the red helmet, I didnt realize how much I associate the bills with red, not white. Actually I liked the throw-back all whites alot, but there are some difference that make these new ones just ugly. And after seeing flashbacks of the last uni I thought, wow, the old ones look so much better. I never "really" liked the old ones because of the blocky shoulders and the stupid pant stripes, but now I miss them. can we at least have red helmets? Ill be happy with that. I cant believe I have to look at these for the next ten years or so.
  21. i enjoyed watching three passes bounce off his hands against denver. He ran well over the middle, a nice big target. It will be nice to see a guy run those underneath routes for once, who cares if he drops some, or 3 out of 5 every game, at least he runs the routes, not like Lee who would only run deep, burn the corner and catch it for just a touch down, big deal... I want underneath routes for 6-8 yards. If easley pans out he'll be the first guy to do these routes and add this possession dimension since our last superstar that did this type of thing...Josh reed, or if hes really good at it he maybe he will be the next justin armour.
  22. have they figured out the problem yet???? I mean is it the rubber seal or the plastic itself thats leaking? I know what would fix it....trade Lee Evans. That seems to be everyones solution here for All the other problems. Also, I have a large white one and it hasnt leaked since i got back from Tijuana, seems that large white ones work better than the smaller ones, just my opinion.
  23. wow you guys really miss the point, everyone flames my post missing the point and while "acting" intelligent. the point (made simply for mouth breathers) was that all the people who go on and on about how we missed on 5-6 first rounders and how we could have gotten other guys like matthews, revis, rothlesburger etc.... are all mistaken. we could not have gotten all of those guys since just hitting on one or two picks would have equaled more wins and worse draft positions. And yes maybe 4 more wins last year alone since we had no pass rush and lost games by 3 points. half you geniuses ripped my post saying more wins is better than losing just to draft higher, which i already stated in the OP, the other half said the guys i mentioned suck...that was not the point anyway. try reading the OP more carefully and pay attention instead of ripping people who offer another point of view. Are you the same people who said fitz sucked and trent was better all last year and the year before? I remember so many people arguing about that as I defended him before he became "our guy"
  24. ok so it started with rob johnson and the first rounder we wasted to get him, then mike williams, jp losman and mcargo, and finally mr maybin. After all of those drafts we all have heard the names we missed on...Cutler, Revis, Mckinney, Orakpo etc. heres the thing, had we gotten even just one of those guys over said loser...we would have had more wins each year afterward and never had been in the same low draft position we ended up in. One win equals about 3-5 draft spots lower in any draft. Say we had stuck w flutie and never got rob the karate kid johnson for example...Flutie might have stayed longer and we would have eeked out 10 wins a year and even had a first round pick playing for us out of that very draft (maybe fred taylor) then we dont draft antowain smith and then we have even another better player, maybe making the playoffs a couple more times before a rebuiling again. this senario could have played itself out any given year. Last year had we gotten orakpo i bet we win four more games...all the close 3 pointers and one more after orakpo knocks out the starting qb and there we have it, 8 wins and a crappy draft pick this year. all in all i would have taken that, or flutie instead of RJ, or revis instead of JP but the reality is we would never have had the chance to miss on so many low picks, had we not missed on the one before it. YA i know we need to start hitting some, move up and pick higher and higher, its just not quite as bad as it seems.
