The reality of what Beane is creating with the OL.
Happy replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree. It has been going on for a long time. It seems that opposing coaches don't say anything about it, as I'm sure they notice, though they probably keep it in-house since they don't want to come off as whiners. I'm sure coaches like John Harbaugh and Wade Phillips might have something to say about this. -
No and no. Not even drunk.

I have to believe there is a level (subjective) a QB has to be at in order to get questionable calls in their favor. Brady, Brees, the Mannings (at least before Peyton retired) all get those calls, though I doubt anyone gets more calls in their favor than Marsha. -

A big, aggressive Oline with a mean streak is a good thing for a QB to have. Beane seems to understand that. Just glad Castillo is gone because he was a big part of the problem...him and his blocking schemes. -

Cam Newton complained about the same thing a couple of years ago. Supposedly the ref shrugged it off and said something to the effect of "you're not there, yet" or "you're not at that level." Brady is the face of the NFL, so he is protected. -
What's this with the CEO of the Packers telling Rodgers not to be a problem for the new coach? Is that legit? Aaron sounds like a bit of a diva.

Have to go with the $1k for clients that are roughly 2/3 of your annual income. Let them know they mean a lot to you.

Right. Then proposition her. That should go over well.

What are your bold draft day predictions?
Happy replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills will not draft a CB this year. We have 8 of them on the roster as of now. -
Is Kelvin Benjamin's career over?

There will be 32 players selected in each of the 7 rounds. -
We paid a pass rusher $100M 7 years ago. I guess people forget? https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2012/3/17/2880629/mario-williams-contract-breakdown-buffalo-bills

Did we land a top 5 GM in Beane?
Happy replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's going to need to show more on a consistent basis. Too early to king Beane right now. Can't forget the 'stellar' acquisitions at WR, QB, and CB last year. -

Great point. This ^^^ is why it makes no sense to leverage not only picks this year, but possibly future high round picks to get one guy when the needs that were patched by FA this year become needs again in two years. McD and Beane should understand this. I get the argument that not all 10 draft picks will make the team, but that happens every year. Most will make the team and will grow to fill roles later this season or next. Repeat the process in 2020 and beyond.

You couldn't be saying there's some nepotism in NE...? Schiano probably just realized he has to work for Belichick. That couldn't be a good thought. BB has a look on his face like he's going through an eternal proctological exam.

So will the green beans on Bon Jovi's cruise.

No way this is all inclusive; I'll bet there is an up-charge for everything with Jon "Costellano" Bon Jovi pocking a good bit of change. He looks like a mafia figure these days.

Extending current players: Poyer/Hughes?
Happy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd extend Hughes for another 2 years; need to keep him while replacements are brought in. Poyer should also be extended for another 4 years, which is two more past his current contract. The Poyer/Hyde safety tandem is a good one, keep it going for as long as possible. -
There is a bit of an age gap to consider. Vlad is 31 and has been a journeyman. John Miller is 25 and showed glimmers of production before Juan Castillo got a hold of him. I doubt Vlad will have any trade value.
-
Vlad should be shown the door, we probably have enough OG that he's not needed. I'd keep Bodine as insurance/depth. He's not great, but it could be worse.
-
Sort of sounded that way. Sounds like he's glad to be back and I'm happy to have EJ back. Just hope he can stay healthy; that was the only reason why he walked after the 2017 season.
-
I like it. Hope he can stay healthy.

They still have Brady, Edelpunk, Sony Michel, and Belichick. Anyone they cut/lost will be replaced and fit into the scheme. I doubt they're concerned about their 'lack of skill players'.
