  1. Not feeling it either this year. Different reasons though. Largely fatigue of long drought and all the reasons for it. I suspect Ryan being a player's coach will lead to Jauron syndrome of excessive injuries that come with less discipline. Just an uneducated huntch. Should be hooked back in by September but definitely not where I usually am this time of year. Love the optimism until I think of injuries and lack of depth. Exactly. I'd just add the ridiculousness of lousy reffiing always seeming to screw the Bills at key moments, most commonly occurring against Pats.
  2. I would have selected Colt McCoy as well for backing up Tyrod.
  3. Yup, pretty much. The face mask call was bs too. Definitely helps to be a team the league favors. I cannot even get mad about it anymore. Slowly losing interest by the week.
  4. Except now we can only lose one more game, max 2 for playoffs hope.
  5. Take one from the Pat's playbook... Sit back on coverage for first series or quarter and then jump them after that, like G-men.
  6. I'd rather overpay and be sure than repeat the Fitzpatrick deal and regret it.
  7. I also agree. We have had as much of a QB problem as a coaching problem.
  8. Missed my DVR capabilities. And had misfortune of router crapping out and needing to restart it late in 4th qtr.
  9. Wow. Haven't seen that happen before.... Didn't say he got hurt.
  10. I attribute my bad knees to playing many later-year soccer games on artificial surfaces. And they always seems to hurt for a number of days after games played on artificial surfaces, when I would have almost no pain after playing on natural grass. Given the investment in player salaries, my vote would be for a natural grass field as it would help ensure at least half their games would be played on a a safer surface. Some articles: Mixed review, but interesting difference between men and women (maybe due to higher impact/weights): http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/sportsdoc/Grass-vs-Turf-does-it-affect-injury-rate.html Also mixed but showing some evidence for difference between football (more injuries) and soccer: http://sportswithoutinjury.com/truth-artificial-turf-injuries/ Claim of definitive increase in injury: http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/05/01/us-football-idUSBRE84002Q20120501 OK, so that is a bit much, but in case anyone is interested, there is a ton or search results for "artificial grass and knee injuries". I am biased based on experience but the evidence seems to support the case that artificial grass contributes to more injuries for football players. You might weigh in a bias of their being business interests supporting studies that refute such claims. If I was T.P., I'd make the investment in a Green Bay like natural surface. It may even pay him dividends with less injuries.
  11. Seriously, your giving a fellow Bills fan a hard time for being upset with all this? Start your own blog if you are going to get upset that people can start a new topoc. Really? Start your own blog and stop your whining to moderators.
  12. Completely agree! Excruciating. I'm not quite there yet but feel I should be and likely will be soon. Spot on.
  13. F that. Why is everyone always making excuses for the refs? What are you smoking dude? Yet another lame excuse for bad reffing. True but why do refs get a pass for calling by having thin skin and not making legit calls? They should be held accountable.
  14. Funny how different this year is. As crazy as that sounds I can actually envision that being a remote possibility.
  15. This is just how they get away with things by letting the small stuff go. Knowing ahead of time gives them an advantage as they are expecting it and will be prepared for it. I do not buy the point is to say it was absolutely no advantage.
  16. Interesting angle, as I was just thinking about never having been so down on the NFL and not being able to enjoy a season opener as was the case with this game. I never thought I would see the day were my interest in the NFL would start to be challenged. Its hard to imagine not loving and following the Bills as much as I have for 30+ years, but how I feel after tonight's game (less angry and more disgust to the point of disinterest), coupled by another non-playoff season for the Bills could really put a dent in things. Worst case scenario the NHL season is fast approaching. You are leaving out the blatant no-calls on the field. ....And the fact that the broadcasters can still only gush over Kraft is mind boggling and at the same time a blatant testimony that the fix is in, and it is rampant. Gotta give Karft some credit for being able to pull it off, but is going to start to turn fans away if not already.
  17. I have the old equipment and it works fine quality wise. New equipment I am sure is even better. You are only restricted in that both you and your dad have to watch the same channel, but that is the point. Smart phone and tablet apps charge a fee to download which is annoying but you can use for free from any computer browser. My buddy looks in to the games from out of town when he cannot get the game where he lives. I use it to watch Sabers games from our home TV over winter vacation. The on screen remote looks just like our remote at home. New equipment is compatible with Google Chrome so I am considering upgrading as this would allow us to watch cable on another extra TV in basement without needing to get another cable box. Al in all, very cool to have, but we really do not use it too often. Hope some of this helps!
  18. His 'bad throw' could have been better but the receiver did fall down. I saw more of a miscues between WR and QB than bad throw. Then again Jim Kelly said it was a bad throw, so must be???
  19. Perfect. Stevie and Rivers in package deal to Buffalo next off season.
