  1. I was at that Browns game... it was awful haha. The draught era is litered with these type of games. I think we remember the McD ones because they are happening to a team that has/is suppose to be very good. The ones that spring to mind in the McD era for me are the Minnesota game, the Tennessee game and Hail Murray game... just brutal endings.
  2. Noticed this as well. The Ref on the far side was running in and aligning with the ref on the opposite side, as they do for determining the spot. They are basically taking an average of what the two Line refs saw. The one on the far side got bumped by a player, back towards the Bills side and never re adjusted his spot from where he got bumped. It was a bad spot.
  3. I think the offense did look better in 11 personnel but as you said the coaches are still going it make some odd decision. And Dorsey calling that shotgun handoff to Murray on the the 1/2 yard line, is criminal. That took 7 off the board. And McDermott, the 4 punts on the last 4 drives. He could have been more aggressive.
  4. This. People want there to be 1 problem going on, it's easier to fix 1 issue than it is multiple. The problems aren't so black/white. Is Josh having some bad plays? Course he is, just like any other player on the field. For me it's the equivilant of when fans are watching a 'shut down corner'. When they see that CB allow a completed pass or a couple, you get 'see he's not a shut down corner'. For some reason people/fans think elite = no mistakes ever. So yes, Josh has some bad plays. He misses some reads. He is not THE reason the offense is not performing. Also this, And really Bass missed a FG and Murrays OPI, they would have had 10 more points. The defense absolutely crapped the bed. The offense was still slow to get going and when those are the scripted plays, I think that says a lot.
  5. Are people really that unhappy with our 4-3 Bills?!?
  6. I think how the offense was run in 2020 and 2021 supports this. Beasley was that guy. And they even admitted to the mistake last year and brought a haggered Beasley back. Six games in this season and they have once again, not found that WR3 or someone Allen trusts as a WR3.
  7. Overall I thought that stadium was impressive, I could have stood in concourse and watched the game the view was that good. I enjoyed the 'stacked' seating as I thought it got you closer to the action. I didn't find getting away from the stadium that difficult at all, so transport wasn't a problem for me. Got back to Kings Cross in plenty of time for my train back north. Couple of minor negatives for me, which probably won't affect the Bills new stadium, were the food. I had heard from a friend who's a season ticket holder at Tottenham, that the game day food was very good. Was pretty disappointing to me, as I was banking on that and didn't eat before, I'm not sure if they changed it for the NFL game? Rookie error. And then the concession lines and prices were a bit frustrating. Also from same friend, sounds like they raised the prices as a pint at a Spurs match is £5.
  8. Watching in person… the drops from people not named Diggs, are bad. The offensive game plan was just bad. The Jags literally did nothing special, were helped by the refs, but the Bills coaches called an awful game.
  9. Very very impressive
  10. We’ve talked to the Antwerp Arms and they are now opening at 10, for pre game, if anyone is looking for anywhere to go
  11. Wow, ManCity fans actually exist? I've never actually seen one in the flesh, so I'm still not sure this could be true. Side note, what a complete opposites of fandom. Bills fans... who are one of, if not the most, rabid fan base. And Man City fans, where you could hear a pin drop at the Etihad.
  12. In case anyone is looking for plans before the game Sunday, the Bills Stragglers Group(aka Manchester Bills Backers) has got The Antwerp Arms booked. It’s not far from the stadium or the Overground station for the stadium. The pub will open for 11.
  13. I assume you mean your own transport from your hotel to Gatwick? Uber is always an option, but it's quite the trek out to Gatwick depending on traffic. What day are you doing it because it can take 2 hours sometimes by car to get to Gatwick, getting out of London?
  14. Central London? You can get train from Gatwick to London Victoria station… it’s like a 20-25 min train. Then you can get on the Tube from there.
  15. Hi all, here’s update from Manchester Bills Backers, if anyone didn’t get into Fitzrovia:
  16. There is a Bills Backers from Manchester, who are organising something for London, for people who missed out on Fitzrovia. They are trying to do something Saturday night and then also after the game.
  17. A couple of thoughts, the morning after. I'm seeing a lot of what I saw last year from the offense. - Josh playing hero ball and someone on that coaching staff needs to rein hiim in. With Rodgers out, the goal should have been at that point to not make any major mistakes. Why was he even playing hero ball? - Dorsey. More weapons on offense, arguablely, and he still can't get that offense rolling. This offense needs to run through Diggs, Cook and Kincaid. His play calling is very questionable and rather frustrating. Another awful game plan. I think both things can be problems at the same time. Week 1 done, trying not to make too many overreactions. We go again.
  18. I don't think you are alone at all. I'm excited that football is back. I just don't have that excitement for the regular season for the Bills. We've all seen they can handle their business in the regular season the past couple years. And, I think they should still be able to do that this season. There is a an expectation, now. So, there's not much excitement in that. Whereas previously for 16 years, we just hoped they would be good enough to get into the playoffs. But, it's a long season and what I really want to see is the Bills playing in the playoffs. That's where my questions about this team, coaches and FO are. And we won't find out any time soon if they've made the changes we all want to see, to push the Bills to their ultimate goal. I feel like I felt this way during the Super Bowl runs. I remember feeling all the excitement for those first couple seasons where they were building this perenial winner and then they made that first Super Bowl. I found my self being less excited for the regular season when 93/94 rolled around.
  19. And still has a questionable OL, to protect said 40 year old QB.
  20. The 49ers, as you pointed out, have been as successful as the Bills. The 49ers are also doing it in what I would consider a weaker NFC. I'm not sure it's a definitely have him as HC over McD.
  21. I actually think the long sleeve shirts coincides with going to fully padded practices.
  22. I cancelled my Gamepass before DAZN could take my money. Preseason has always been free to watch live on Gamepass, so thought I'd see how DAZN handle things before handing over my money. Plus with the Bills being in prime time to start the year, their first game will be on Sky, so can get a discounted rate if signing up after the first week has been played. Or I should think. That's the way the old Gamepass worked but looking at sign up options, there literally is only 1 with DAZN, when the old gamepass had a few, including mobile only. First impressions, it is awful comparitively to the old Gamepass, which I had used since moving to the UK for about 11 years now. I'm wondering if the holding screen on the adverts is only temporary, as most of the adverts will be local in preseason. Switched to a stream on NFL+ and they were doing same thing. It's like when they cut to local news breaks in game, and you didn't see that in Gamepass. Maybe it changes when the regular season starts. Reading some things on Reddit, I'm not holding out hope of anything changing with DAZN. They have been the Gamepass provider for Canada for a couple years and people have said nothing has changed there. What people internationally have flagged, Canadian subscribers have said is the norm. What a disastor, as the old Gamepass had it's issues, which they did tend to sort out. I wonder what week 1 will look like, considering Gamepass would regularly have issues with the increased bandwidth of people tuning in.
  23. Last game in London I went to as well. I remember the queue being awful, ended up buying 4 tickets in the higher section in Wembley. Two friends ended up not going. I swear I couldn’t give away the tickets. Tried to offer them to a scalper outside the stadium and he pulled out a stack. Ended up selling them for $20 essentially. Weirdly, this time I tried the “open loads of browser windows” tactic and hope one of them gets me lower in the queue. It’s a cluster and no one should have to do that. If it’s anything like last time, they’ll be tickets outside the stadium, 100%.
  24. Oh that’s good to know. Know a couple family members with STs who were going to offer the link but then forgot to pre register, so missed out. Thought I missed out on an easier route.
  25. Did anyone who was a season ticket holder go for them? I thought the Bills were doing a special link for ST but you had to pre register in May. Just wonder if that was easier?
