As this is a Bills home game technically, they'll really want to let Bills fans have first crack at tickets, especially as ST may not be able to make it to Detroit so those tickets could go to Browns fans. Saying that, are the Browns fans really interested in traveling being 3-6?

I said it in another thread. Tell me what the Bills offense does well. What do they execute when you absolutely have to have it? I don't think it's anything at the moment. If it's not Josh improvising it's Diggs on a choice route. And it seems Davis is pretty awful when it comes to a choice route. There's not one play I can think of where it's the Bills bread and butter and they can go back to it.

To be honest, the Vikings actually showed a lot of light boxes in the 2nd half. They were daring Dorsey to call a run... and he did on a play with a light box and this was the result...

I know there is space there but Allen throws the ball behind Davis anyways. To be honest they've actually run this play a few times this season and they haven't gotten it right yet. It's a Follow Concepts route. One time Josh nearly got Crowder killed, the other was to Moss and had no gain. I'd say they got that one pretty close to correct and Josh missed it being late but then he missed it being late on another attempt. I say all this but I honestly don't know what the Bills offense is good at at this moment. I can't think of one play they can run, besides something involving Josh improving, where when they need to get it, they get it. It's a lot of option routes by the receivers as well which is good but then where are the excuted plays? We know they can't execute in short yardage.

And threw it low. Gabe Davis will sit in those pockets of space. He's done it before.

RIght, he shows Josh he's open... Josh still throws the ball in the dirt and Davis does sit in those pockets, so it's not unlike something Davis would do. Even if Davis kept runnign the throw from Allen as no where near him. It was low and in the dirt. EDIT: And the throw is in fact behind Davis, so him still running makes no sense.

Yea McK is a liability, I'm sure he's run wrong route or something. He's actually probably the reason Josh hesitates. EDIT: It's a bunch formation to start, so Davis/McK/Knox are all lined up closely. I think Josh is looking for Knox first but then he definitely comes back to where Davis/McK are and he hesitates than actually throws the ball in the dirt.

There is no 4th down if Josh hits a wide open Davis on 3rd down... and I do mean wide open, instead he hesitates.

The bigger question was why was that running back Duke Johnson and not Hines or Cook, the 2 RBs the Bills aquired to be in the passing game. In fact Duke was in for all 3 of those short yardage plays at the goal line, even though they were all passing plays.

Not that I think Allen is without fault, because he certainly is, but he did give the defense a 17 point lead, with 1:34 left in the 3rd quarter. The next series the defense let Cook run in an 81 yard TD. Saying that, Allen could have sealed the game on that long drive down to the 2 where he missed a wide open Davis on 3rd down. Which was the drive right after the long Cook TD.

Don't forget Kadarius Tony. He had 4 catches on 5 targets for 57 yards and a TD. 4th and 2 and you have Duke Johnson on the field, is mind boggling. You brought in this RB to be a mismatch to LBs and even on that last play of the game, Singletary is the RB out there on a pass play. Where are the mismatches? Hines was on the field yesterday for 6 plays, and didn't see the ball one time. Duke Johnson was one the field 5 times and saw the ball 2 times. Make it make sense.

Besides Josh's issues and being careless with the ball, which there's no denying he is, I do find some things about the offense a bit odd. Mostly it's the personnel and the usage. 4th and 2 and Duke Johnson is on the field? I don't get this babying of Cook. Or the fact that you went and got Hines yet he can't see the field. Where are these mismatches with the LBs? Even on the last play of the game, yes Singletary is wide open in the flat but if it's a passing down, why is it SIngletary over there and not Cook/Hines? And I don't get why they completely abandon the run in the 2nd and in OT. The run was effective in the 1st half and I'm sure the Vikings adjusted in the 2nd half but that's on Dorsey to counter that. Is the Bills only counter to go out and throw it a ton? In OT there was plenty of time on the clock and every single play was a pass play. It's head scratching.

I think it's a mixture of Dorsey's play calling and personnel grouping. Why is Duke Johnson on the field on 4th and 2? You have 2 RBs, Cook and Hines, who you sing praises about but instead you put Duke on the field. Why is Quitin Morris on the field on that last play, running a vertical route to the end zone? Why is Singletary out there? You've got Hines/Cook who are your better threats in the receiving game. I'm not sure if it's Dorsey or who but I find it odd that you have these play makers and yet they can't seem to get them on the field? Why did they have 5 RBs active? Do agree that Josh's hero ball is more of the problem.

Agreed. I think it's perfectly acceptable to be critical of Josh, he's had some very bad moments these past 3 games. Funny enough, I wouldn't say he's been awful for an enitre game but those lapses in judgement in critical moments are on him. We've seen him overcome the suckage before, so I'm confident he can do it again.

I appreciate that but you are listening to medical analysts who haven’t even examined JA. They have no idea what his MRI looks like, they are guessing. Yea it’s an educated guess based on what they saw his arm do but they could all be completely wrong. I would say the medical staff is VERY cautious. Milano sat out last week and they really seem to be slowly bringing back Tre.

No offense, but maybe you are basing this off what people who haven’t actually examined Allen’s elbow have said? Because no one inside the Bills organisation has said it’s a sprain or a long term injury. Allen himself said he was fine after the loss last week. And the Bills have Barkley sitting right there… they could have him back up Keenum.

No way, that’s asinine. So Josh isn’t healthy enough to start but could be one play away from playing? If he’s healthy enough to be active, he’s starting.

How do you know what the injury is and that it can worse? The Bills have literally never said what the problem is. What if it’s just a nerve issue? A bruise on the nerve that just needed a couple days to heal. If he’s healthy, he plays. The Bills aren’t going to risk their franchise QB.

That’s kind of how I see it. Or they don’t think he’s a full go and he’s on a pitch count.

See now, this is where I believe others in the thread. The Bills have never said he sprained his elbow. Twitter and Internet doctors have. It could just be a nerve issue and not be a sprain at all. And, even if a grade I sprain, I don’t think you chance it and have him active.
