Yea I'd prefer Daboll stick with what he knows will work. Second half against Miami they went to that, just feeding Beasley on the short stuff. I think Beas being dinged up this week didn't help but then I always think where's McKenzie? I've always thought he was a Beasley in waiting kind of like when the Pats*** had Julien Edelman to replace Wes Welker. I think becuase he's the return guy they don't want to expose him on offense.

Yea, can't really say it's on Daboll completely. The WGR crew(Jeremy) were moaning that they need throw deep or intermediate. The problem there is the OL. Sometimes they hold up, sometimes they don't. How the hell is Daboll suppose to know when they will and when they won't? They are completely inconsitant and terrible. Call a long pass play, it's a jail break. Call a intermediate route, they hold up. Honestly, the OL is the #1 problem with the offense. I think Daboll has no clue what he can and can't call without exposing Josh to pressure. This OL can't run block either. They aren't maulers. This is why the Bills don't run and when they do it's not very successful. Has nothing to do with establishing the run game.

Correct. Only thing stopping teams would be the contract and the attitude. -

I agree with the previous poster. The Bills are not good at running. The Bills can’t line up in I-formation, which they did several times against Miami, and run smash mouth football. It’s a win for whoever’s defense they play against when they do it. The passing game for the Bills opens up the run game. And in place of the running the Bills need to ‘dink and dunk’ their way down the field. Use Moss in the passing game. It’s exactly what happened in the 2nd half. It then opens up the ability to run. So no, don’t completely abandon the run. The problem is, and this is probably what people mean by Josh shouldn’t be out there just slinging it, the Bills or Josh or Daboll get impatient with ‘dink and dunk’. So they’ll throw some sort passes and then attempt a kill shot. They just aren’t patient enough to continue doing it. I’d also say the short passes help Josh get into the flow of the game. He is not a run, run, 3rd down pass QB. He needs the rhythm of passes. -
If they wanted a corpse of a player, Cam Newton is out there for free… no draft picks involved.

Questions to ponder during the bye week

Results in a shorter week, so I vote yes! -
I talked about this in the Kumerow thread but I think the biggest dfference is in personnel. Daboll wants specific players in specific formations to creat mismatches. For example, the Allen TD run is all about personnel. It's 11 personnel, so a 3WR, 1TE and 1RB formation. It's all about who those 3 WRs are and who the running back is because it's option run. This works because the 3 WRs are Diggs, Sanders and McKenzie. All speed options with McKenzie as the jet sweep option in there as a threat and then Moss adds the threat of a power dive run. This formation and play doesn't work with 26 and 11, imo.

I've noticed this year with the offense, the biggest difference between last year, is it seems to be all about personnel. For example, the Allen TD run is all about personnel. It's 11 personnel, so a 3WR, 1TE and 1RB formation. It's all about who those 3 WRs are and who the running back is because it's option run. A few Thoughts about the Chiefs Game, in no particular order
Wayne Cubed replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yea in the context on the game, with some of the other calls, I found it odd the flag didn't come out but generally ok with them when they are none calls. -
Perhaps he should stick to dancing?

Ohh mama that hit on Burrow

Pretty fantastic? I certainly wouldn’t describe it as that. He’s managed to not look like a tire fire. And that’s because the rest of the rookie Qb class hasn’t looked great. Herbert looked pretty fantastic last season as a rookie. I’ll give you Miami.. but he didn’t drive the Pats offense down the field against TB and it wasn’t game winning, they didn’t win. He was given a nice pass interference penalty, one that really wasn’t pass interference. Yes the Pats*** had a chance to win it but a 56 yarder isn’t really giving your kicker the best possible chance.

Idk, I watch Jones and I don’t see an “it”. I’ve watched all the Pats*** games thus far. Yea he looks composed and yea he looks accurate but I just don’t see anything that says he’ll go out and win a game. The hype around him is unreal though. I think it’s partially because none of the rookie QBs have looked great.
