  1. Losing our WR3, WR4, and WR5 is kinda annoying. Hopefully we can pick up some talent late in the draft, or there's some decent street FAs to be had. (assuming Hogan, Harvin, and Goodwin/Easley are all unavailable to going into the new season)
  2. Geno has definitely shown flashes... depends on how well he takes to Chan's system.
  3. On paper, I can't say that we're going to be better... My hopes: - Year two in two complicated systems, and the guys we have improve - Get two to three immediate starters out of the draft - Tom Brady has a career ending altercation with a wet mat
  4. I thought it was a pretty high number, but another thread says a new contract for him would be pricier than I was thinking. I'm just gonna go hide under a rock, because I've been way off on my expectations so far haha
  5. Jesus... yeah we're going to lose one of Gilmore/Glenn/Taylor.
  6. So what are the odds we get Glenn and Gilmore extended into friendlier contracts for the year?
  7. The more details that come out about this contract, the more favorable it looks for us, damn. Good work, FO, and thanks for playing along, RI!
  8. Until they get Glenn and maybe Gilmore worked out, I can't imagine they are going to target anyone outside of depth players. It's gonna be a pretty boring offseason for us for once.
  9. I think they're a team that is perpetually close, kind of like us. I'm not sure what my answer should be, though.
  10. I don't think we're in great position for this, but if we traded back and was able to pick up an extra 2nd or 3rd rounder, I'd be happy. We need maybe one starter from the draft, the rest is depth stuff, I think.
  11. Gonna be a dangerous line, especially if Mario is back to being motivated.
  12. Glad to hear, and cheaper than I was expecting. From reports I thought Richie was demanding something crazy, so I wasn't going to be too upset if the Bills failed to sign him.
  13. No matter if he's a priority or not, you set a max number you're willing to give each player. It's basic budgeting really. Certain things in my life are a priority, but I'm not going to overspend on them.
  14. Oh, I agree. I think Goodwin should be gone. Harvin is a much better player when healthy.
  15. Loads of teams have risky players that they manage. Hell, we've been doing that with Goodwin since he came into the league... though most of the time they miss the game due to being on the injury report, or something, not just 'we're resting him', since I'm not sure how that works with the NFL's rules.
  16. I'm still on board with him coming back if we can get him for super cheap. We just need to be smart with how we use him. Play him in games where we need the extra weapon, let him rest in other games where we have mismatches elsewhere. Be smart with him, and I think he can be plenty successful here.
  17. Eh, I think we have some wiggle room, especially going forward the next few years.
  18. I'd rather have EJ as my backup... head smart guy who is familiar with a complicated system, vs RGIII who is on record as not studying playbooks.
  19. Gives Miller a year or two to grow into the role, and gives us a really solid depth guard, which we need now that we no longer have Urbik.
  20. Unique to the US? Not at all. But is it *more* of a problem here than many other developed countries, yes. It's not so black and white, the scale of corruption. Every country has some corruption of some sort, but that doesn't mean I'll not support systems that assist the less fortunate. A lot of people in this country have to get lucky when it comes to health, and I don't think that's the way any country with our wealth should be doing things. Maybe I'm a naive idealist, but that's just how I feel about it.
  21. I'd rank pass rushers and pass coverage as really high, myself.
  22. Ah, I got you. I think mine just about evens out... but I also have a strong believe in a base universal healthcare option for all, and I wouldn't mind if my overall tax burden increased. I think a lot of ideas would work just fine in America, but with how much lobbying, special interests, campaign financing, etc. there is, a lot of our services are far from efficient. I have a strong belief in a universal option of some sort, I think a healthier lower and middle class would be a boost to productivity, and generally drive wealth overall in the right direction (especially being free from bankrupting medical debts). But I also don't think it's something that is possible to pull off in our current political climate. At this point I just *shrug*, do what I can to take care of my own life, and hope for the best for my neighbors.
  23. Did he take into account that he wouldn't be paying for healthcare? I think thats what a lot of people forget when they freak out about higher taxes. Not that it really matters anyways, Clinton has a pretty clear path at this point.
