  1. The only position I would trade two firsts for is an elite QB.
  2. Hopefully it's true. Could use the depth.
  3. Maybe the Bills need to field a relevant team late in the season.
  4. $53 million, 5 years, London Rams What?
  5. We effectively played a 4-3 last year, just lined up non traditionally.
  6. I think, now that we've created another hole for ourselves, it'd be smart to trade down and pick up as many extra draft picks as possible.
  7. I'm not TG's biggest fan, but I don't hate him for doubting EJ... it's not like EJ lit it up last year, or stayed healthy.
  8. I hope Kolb hangs it up. Injury settlement, retirement, whatever. Concussions are nothing to mess with. Sucks for him, but you gotta think long term.
  9. Keep him, use him as strong side LB, or see if he can play DE opposite side of Mario. Most of these DE/OLB hybrids have flexibility. Manny has proven he can play in the NFL, there's no reason to boot him off the team, at the very least he's solid depth, if not a solid starter.
  10. Yeah, I don't necessarily like him, myself. I just wouldn't let time served really effect my decision making, if he's rehabilitated.
  11. Fully agree here. That being said, regarding his past... he served his time, and has stayed out of trouble since as far as I know, so I wouldn't hold that against him. I'm sure he'll find a spot on someone's roster, but I don't think he's an upgrade over what we have.
  12. Who cares if we keep or lose Carrington. He's done a whole lot of nothing so far. He's certainly got potential, but that's about it.
  13. I fully suspect a tag would have resulted in him holding out of camp, and not playing for at least the first few games of the season, like last year. But still, we'd have FS covered for over half the season...which we don't now. So here's hoping the Bills, in their infinite wisdom of creating holes, actually fill the hole this time. But if the LG situation last year tells us anything, I'm not overly optimistic.
  14. Is sarcasm hard to detect on the internet or something? "Sweet" isn't me joyously cheering for the Bills losing a Pro Bowl Free Safety. "Sweet" is me being sarcastic. As I've communicated multiple times on this forum, I'd rather keep Byrd. If not, I'd hope we tag him and trade him. Instead, he leaves for nothing. There is no good that comes out of this. There is nothing literally "sweet" about this. At best, we hope we can pick up some mid level guy who can replace Byrd to some extent, and he isn't missed THAT much. But knowing our team, we just created another hole to fill, completely unnecessarily.
  15. Ah. Yes. Another day of the Bills proving their ineptness. Sweet.
  16. Because he won't be as good under a franchise tag. He'll hold out of all preseason activity, and he will possibly sit multiple weeks during the season. If they sign him, he plays in preseason, participates in practice and presumedly plays during the season (and likely more productive than last season).
  17. So, assuming Byrd is here at most as a franchise tag... Do we draft a safety high this year? Next? Is there a midlevel FA we can sign?
  18. Ah, this franchise. Well, I guess we could tag him, hopefully trade him while he sits out, and if not, hope he performs well enough to win us games for the last half of the season, heh. Or just let him walk, and accept that we are a loser franchise.
  19. I'm actually worried about his mobility going forward if the whole PF thing continues to be a problem. It'll be harder to shake as he gets older.
  20. Fully agree here. I think if Cleveland gets a good QB in the draft, they will be making waves this season. Meanwhile, we're probably destined to 6-10 until the next coach/QB, unless something miraculous happens this season.
