  1. I've often wondered that myself. Hell, convert some more seats to luxury boxes, stores, or something. Bring it down to that 65k number, and watch the Bills have no blackouts.
  2. I know in the NBA, you can spend more than the cap, but then you are penalized.... what about the NFL? It just kind of hit me that there's no teams in the NFL that really buy their way to the playoffs/championship consistently, like the Lakers do in the NBA, or the Yankees do in MLB. So does that mean the NFL has a hard cap? (Yes, I know the Bills will never spend that much, just wondering why teams like the Cowboys aren't constantly rolling over teams with all star players)
  3. Why wouldn't you? We probably have multiple players on the team. Do you think Mario is here because he thought we are winning franchise? No, he came because we spent a **** ton of money. I have no problem with Byrd protecting his interests going forward. I'd prefer if we had players that actively want to be here, but I certainly understand if players would rather play for someone like the 49ers*, for slightly less money. * - not predicting he'll be there, just using them as an example.
  4. I have a feeling if we give him the biggest offer, and none of his other suitors are guaranteed winners, he'll come back. But otherwise he's gone.
  5. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining or anything, just swear we heard this line the last couple of years, word for word.
  6. Aren't we "aggressive in free agency" every year? I swear I'm having deja vu.
  7. There's a good chance that Graham performs well for us. But there is no guarantee, so in the end, it's still a risk to trade one first for him. Then you double up that risk by trading two firsts for him. That's all ignoring the fact that our QB has trust issues when it comes to throwing the ball. Will EJ throw the ball to Graham when he isn't open *right now*, or will he learn to trust that Graham will get open by the time he gets to the spot that EJ throws the ball to? Personally, I think it's too risky at the moment.
  8. As a fan, this is something I really appreciate from players. When they seem to be enjoying being on the team/in the area.
  9. That's more than I was expecting, considering he just had the one good year at the position. Hope he works out over the next 4 years. (This is in no way me being down on this... I like Williams a lot, and want him on this team.)
  10. Wonder what the contract numbers are...
  11. I guess we're just going to go in circles on the topic. I just think it's hard to expect fans to sell out every game when missing 14 years worth of playoffs. I'd understand the frustration with fans more if we make the playoffs a bunch, and don't support the team, but to me this is different. Especially considering WNY isn't exactly an economic juggernaut... you really need to make a reason for people to part with money they might need for other things in life. I agree that fans need to be supportive to keep the team in the area, I just don't know if it's fair to expect them to be 100% sellout supportive when the team misses the playoffs for 14 straight years, and hasn't even finished .500 in recent history.
  12. The NFL is more popular than ever, and winter temperatures are rising on average. I can't guarantee late season sellouts if the team is better, but I think it's safe to assume there will be more tickets sold. I'm sure they have a financial analyst that tells the FO if putting together a winning team is worth it or not from a profit perspective. The answer in the recent past has been a big fat "no".
  13. Kind of makes me continue to assume this FO doesn't actually care much about winning.
  14. Make it worth my while to go in December.
  15. Even with RWS 80% full, it'll feel 1 million times more like a home game than the silence of Rogers stadium.
  16. I don't see Glenn moving to the inside. I could see them moving him to RT if they feel that's appropriate... but why take Glenn away from LT when he's performed well? That makes no sense to me.
  17. Yeah, it always blows my mind when I look at tickets here in DC (or Baltimore). It's almost cheaper for me to come up to Buffalo to see a game, heh.
  18. Wow. You're a real piece of work. So you're saying that a team's performance should have absolutely no effect on if fans are willing to spend their money AND time on the team? Unlike you, I'm not willing to make guarantees. But I'm of the opinion that if we put together a legitimate playoff run, you'll see more fan excitement, and thus, more tickets and merchandise sold.
  19. 14 years since the last playoff appearance. I'd say the Bills fans have been plenty supportive without receiving much in return. I don't blame fans for not wanting to go to Toronto or sitting in -15 degree weather to watch the Bills be irrelevant. This is somewhat interesting: http://espn.go.com/nfl/attendance/_/sort/homePct/order/false
  20. Ah, so Bills fans suck period. Might as well move the team to LA, then.
  21. So you're guaranteeing that the Bills will suck this year? You're such a downer, PTR.
